She's warm, energetic, and genuinely passionate about what she does--without ever feeling overwhelming or intrusive. Gentry stepped in about two months before our wedding and took so much off our plate. She was incredibly responsive, handled vendor communications seamlessly, and managed last-minute updates with ease. Throughout the entire process, I felt completely taken care of and confident that she would bring our vision to life. What really stood out was her attention to detail and proactive approach. She suggested things we hadn't even considered (like renting microphones), but was never pushy and always respected our decisions. Anytime I had a concern, she had either already handled it or immediately jumped into action--like when I worried about muddy transportation on our rainy wedding day, and she had already coordinated with the vendor. Despite the pouring rain, Gentry showed up with the most positive energy and made everything feel effortless. She truly made our dream wedding possible, and I can't imagine doing it without her. Planning a wedding in Hawaii from California is difficult but Dianna made everything so easy. She is quick to respond to your emails and questions and you can depend on her to get the job done. She is open and honest and is willing to help you work within your budget and with whatever parts of the wedding planning process you want help. Dianna is very knowledgeable and experienced, and we immediately felt comfortable after we met her. She is very accommodating and even willing to go above and beyond what is required of a wedding planner. Hawaii Weddings and Event truly caters to the kind of event you're having and your exact needs. All the vendors that Dianna used for our wedding were exceptional. Our wedding day was perfect. The venue that Dianna had suggested for our intimate private ceremony was exceptional. The day went on without one hiccup. We couldn't have had a more relaxing stress-free wedding.     I'm a really organized person and have no problems choosing my own vendors but I was shopping for a…read moreday-of coordinator to help oversee everything on the long awaited day. I'm not sure if it's just me but I think there should be a minimum three day response time. If that's not doable, I may accept one week but definitely not two. And there's more... Finally got a response so I go over the package and call them back with questions for all these "extra charges." Getting married outside of Honolulu? There's a charge for that. Having the ceremony and reception at different locations? There's a charge for that. Having it at the same place? There's a charge for that too. More than 75 guests? You guessed it!!! There's a charge for that too! Paying with a credit card so you can earn miles? Yes, there's a charge for that. 3.5% processing fee to be exact! But with all those extra charges, I was still going to book them because of their reputation. I mean look at their reviews! So, I told them to send me the contract and it never came. Two weeks later, I get a email apologizing for the delay and asking me where my venue was again. Are you serious? I need an organized coordinator that I can trust! I sent them an email saying I will no longer need their services. Guess how many emails I got after that? Like five in a row with more apologies and excuses of how busy they were and how they're working on hiring and training someone to make the contracts. Whatever, I don't care. You can't handle the volume of your business, that's your problem. I need someone that can handle. I'm so happy I didn't go with them. I now have a coordinator that responds to all my emails and there are no extra fees. One that I trust and that is something so vital for one of the most important days of your life!

Dave and his partner were very welcoming, making jokes to warm up the kids and giving suggestions on balloon colors and tattoo stencils. I would definitely recommend again and they were more affordable than other businesses for what they offer.

I was worried they wouldn't have availability since it was so last minute, but we were able to book with him! His replies were always very fast (within 20 minutes) and he made the booking process so quick and easy. Their prices are very reasonable as well! On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up. We booked them for balloon twisting and airbrush tattoos and all our guests, both children and adults, loved them! Their work was very beautiful and all the kids kept lining back up for more. It was adorable seeing all the tattoos and balloons everywhere! They were so great with the kids and all our guests had so much fun. Dave made my son a Winnie the Pooh balloon and he absolutely loved it. The sweet woman working with Dave (unfortunately I forget her name, my brain was all over the place at the time) made my son a little turtle balloon bracelet and he was obsessed with it! She also asked for my favorite color, and then made me a rose balloon in that color! She actually walked all the way across the room to hand them to us both times. They were both very sweet people! It is a fairly safe bet that the next batch of my cousins' weddings will be perfectly planned and implemented by her competent hands. Justine helped us through the process from getting vendors, keeping us on track, to the day of the event, table decoration, welcome table décor, directing guests and the wedding party on where to be, when to move and helping pack up the site. She also helped handle tip distribution. We did a sizable number of video calls, phone calls, and emails. She is very responsive. We definitely would have been in a much more stressful state without her timelines, budget outlines, and overall guidance. Highly recommend if you're looking for a wedding planner to give Luana Events and Justine a call.

Charelle was fun to work with, organized, easy to communicate with and a wealth of knowledge for every question I had in the lead-up to the wedding. She met with us the week before the wedding and also ran our rehearsal for our bridal party the day before the wedding, which helped everyone feel confident for the ceremony the next day. The wedding day itself went by flawlessly -- Charelle and her assistant Jillian did a great job managing all the vendors and we were able to stick to the timeline without any delays. Having the two of them there coordinating everything definitely helped me stay calm and enjoy the wedding day instead of worrying about things. We received so many compliments from our guests on what a smooth day it was, resulting in a fantastic wedding everyone enjoyed.
