Our wedding venue was the Butterfly Garden in the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This presented a special challenge in that no "real" flowers could be used in the ceremony. I put real in quotes because Linda at the Secret Floral Garden created an arch with artificial flowers that looked so real no one even thought they were fake! It was truly awe-inspiring and our guests raved about it throughout our entire reception. She also created lovely bouquets for my now wife and our daughters and a boutonniere for me that also looked fantastic. We loved the decorations in the venue as well. It really looked amazing and we were incredibly happy with it. She also connected us with a printer who made a board for our escort cards as well as a welcome sign for the night before using our color scheme and our design. It really helped pull everything together over our wedding days! Additionally, at the last minute, we asked her to provide flowers for the day before at our Welcome Dinner and she came through in a big way. They were so beautiful and gave the patio we had our event a much more uniform and beautiful look that matched our wedding theme. Stand alone facility (no crammed in a shopping center) 2. Clean facility 3. Plenty of Parking 4. A place that won't nickel and dime you 5. Great staff to work with ***First Impression: This place was even better than I remembered. They had done a ton of renovations and the place looked good, plenty of Parking and the staff was also so nice and courteous. Can I let you guys in on a secret? We would go to Signature Manor every month (because we chose to make payments) before we knew we could pay online... we didnt read the fine print... Anywho, we just enjoyed going there... Talking to the staff, asking questions... After a while, they were like family!! ***Venue: The venue is a nice stand alone. It is large on the outside and on the inside which is a great use of space. There are restrooms upstairs and downstairs. There is also an additional room upstairs for children or whatever you like. Essentially, the entire venue is yours. We have seen some nightmarish weddings where the guests are in the wrong wedding because they are connected/ joined. Not here!!! The separate Bride and Groom Suites are nice because they are right by the elevator and they have locks on them. Very safe! The ballroom is huge and the foyer area is big enough to host a ceremony or cocktail reception. ***Parking: There was plenty of parking, which wraps around the building. ***Food: The kitchen is super flexible and can accommodate anything. We had an amazing food tasting, where we were able to accommodate even our Vegan guests! The cake was also amazing. Yay Cakes by Gina! ***Staff: So, I must say, I am very detail oriented and thought that they may be a problem, but it was not! We worked with Katherine who helped our vision come to life. We were then assigned Alex as our Coordinator and we worked very well together. She allowed me to be free with my super crazy ideas and executived them perfectly. She gave us her insights on what has not worked well and what has in the past, which was very helpful. I would be remiss if I left our everyone who made our Wedding possible from Alice, who heard all of my stressed out sob stories, Asia who kept the party going with Alex, Ryan who gave us a male's perspective and always knew how to keep the jokes coming to lighten the mood... we even saw Bonnie a few times! Now that is what we call family. And we never saw any attitudes or craziness from the staff no matter how many questions we asked. They were always there to answer and went above and beyond. Prestige Events is always adding to their inventory too! The day I looked at the decor, they had just gotten some red lanterns in that we had to include in our wedding! I had a fairly large wedding with nearly 400 guests, and Thea worked closely with me to completely redesign the layout for the decor and tables to fit the venue beautifully. I also had a last-minute request for additional florals, and Chi Lien made it happen seamlessly. The florals turned out stunning, honestly even more beautiful than the inspiration photos we provided! She also gave me a spray bottle to ensure the florals were fresh and hydrated for the wedding day! Our reception was held at Kim Son, and Prestige Events completely transformed the ballroom. From the hallway to the ballroom, every detail was jaw-dropping. We received countless compliments on the decor, but I truly think the photos speak for themselves.
