I know he's booking into July, but understand he keeps some early morning appointments open for people who only need two windows done, which was perfect for me. His prices are great, he offers 30 years of experience tinting auto windows, and considering he uses nano-ceramic window film and has been using a company thats been making window tint since the early 80's, it's win-win!! The Tint Guy is true pro and offers a lifetime warranty on his service. He provides you Information on what to expect over the next couple weeks, how to clean the tinted window film, and makes it clear that should anything go wrong, he'll replace it for free, for the life of the vehicle and same owner. I'd recommend him 10 times over anyone else!! The fact that he uses such high quality product to tint the vehicle windows and provides a lifetime warranty is extra fabulous!! Many places charge an arm and a leg to use higher quality materials and provide a warranty, but he's got very competitive pricing and I highly recommend you make sure you have all to him before committing to anywhere else!! Even if I lived in Kansas City or the suburbs, I'd easily drive to Lawrence just for his services!! He's got a great, clean lobby with cold bottled water, clean restrooms, and a TV that he hands you the remote to!! He's my number one recommendation on YELP!! Thanks so much The Tint Guy!!!

After all, any time you're coming to one of these places it's never for a good reason, right? These places should be busting with people complaining. But no. Once again the folks that run Steve's stand out head and shoulders above other businesses in basic service, friendliness, holding up their promises. Shoot, they even gave me a ride to a coffee shop to wait while the work was being done--it was 2 blocks away but icy and they insisted. Wait... maybe I should go give the coffee shop it's 200th review on the quality of their latte art and those few crumbs someone dropped on the floor. Ya think? Nah, screw that. What's left to say? As I walked out the door actually enjoying spending $200 on a replaced side mirror and all the bells and whistles that go with it I said, "OK, see you next time I screw something up or someone runs into me." There are far worse experiences. Steve's will never be one of them.

Steve's Auto claims to provide a one year warranty on their service, so of course we brought her car back to have them replace the missing right mirror front cover, which they had clearly improperly installed (In conversation with my wife, Steve said he saw no other damage that could account for the cover coming off). We left the car there for a couple of hours and returned to be told that my wife was being charged for another right side mirror front cover. I was horrified. I could hardly believe my ears. This is the kind of behavior that gives auto service shops a bad name.

Could not believe my bad luck with the screw. I was panicked. What in the world was I going to do? Thankfully, my friend suggested that I take my car to Westside 66. I actually looked at him like he was crazy because it was a Sunday afternoon. He assured me they were still open. I have to confess that I did not entirely believe him. LOL. He said, "They can fix it in 10 minutes and it will cost you about $16." Yeah, right. So I headed Westside 66 and kept my fingers crossed. The cashier told me to pull around back and they would look at the tire. Honestly, within ten minutes... the tire was fixed and it cost $16. I could not believe my good luck on finding this place. The mechanic who worked on my tire was nice, professional and he knew exactly what to do to get me fixed. He did not waste time with small talk and he got me right on my way. The cashier was very nice and courteous. She, too, was professional and very helpful. I appreciate her guidance. I asked her if they had been busy and she said it was a slow day for them. It was hard to believe it was a slow work day because both bays were filled and other cars were lined up for service. I will definitely go back to this station for service. I had counted on being there for hours but it was quick, efficient, professional service. WOW. Still cannot believe my luck with this wonderful shop.

When I got it back I was super happy because it took about 3 weeks and I needed it back. But immediately after I noticed a lot of HUGE issues, car wouldn't accelerate, wouldn't turn off, wouldn't lock or go into park. I had to get it towed in, and they said they'd take a look at it. The receptionist woman was very unfriendly on the phone and in person, which was shocking because most of their other staff seem very polite. When they had it they said they'd fix it in the next week and it took them about 3 more weeks to get it back to me. Then finally I get it back for the second time, and my door dont open from the outside. I emailed them and told them about this issue and I was not rude or anything but I felt like the email I received back was very unfriendly. When I told them about this they told me not to take it to them if I cant trust them with my vehicle, which seems redundant since they are the reason I dont trust them, when I obviously trusted them enough to bring it there and to give them the opportunity to fix whatever mistake was made. I am a young woman and honestly felt a little taken advantage of and or not taken seriously whatsoever. I also received a couple voicemails saying essentially they didn't know what they were doing and they'd never worked on this type of car before (Hyundai Sonata), so Im not sure what "trust" they expect when they treat their costumers like this. They seem to lack a lot of basic costumer service skills and knowledge. They deal with a huge part of peoples lives (their vehicle) and people are bound to be frustrated when stuff is wrong with their car, so if they dont know how to deal with that they just shouldn't.
