Jelena explained it would be $200 to clean the whole townhome, I trusted her to clean it as my wife and son closed on a new house far away from Jacksonville. I had a carpet cleaner come to the home after she had "cleaned" and he asked me on the phone "Did you have someone professionally clean this place?" I responded "Yes" and he sent me pictures along with my landlord. I confronted Jelena and she stated it would take hours more and what she called a Deep Clean. Which is true, we needed a big cleaning and when she arrived to give me a quote before starting cleaning services was "$200." If she expected it to be more for the home to be clean, she should have quoted me higher before starting services. I took her word value and quote seriously. I honestly don't even know where…read moreto begin: the countless cigarette butts they left all over the front yard and driveway (that they never once acknowledged or apologized for), the blatant lies they told me and promises they broke that wound up costing us over $750 or their complete lack of customer service to the point of insult? They said whatever they needed to in order to secure the job. I should have gone to the house and checked their work before I Venmo'd the money. CHECK THEIR WORK BEFORE YOU PAY THEM! They refused to return any of it and then threatened to sue us if we wrote a bad review. To explain the photos attached to this review: 1. I sent the owner, Teri, a thorough list of the things that needed to be complete in order for us to get our security deposit back at move out. I figured a lot of them weren't included in her typical cleaning and I was more than ready to take care of them myself, but I needed clarity. She responded, "Relax. Breathe. We got this." They didn't do even a quarter of what they agreed to in text and verbally. They didn't even vacuum the stairs! The carpeted stairs were covered with lint, tiny scraps of paper, food crumbs, etc. I have the photos! 2. The property management company that did a walkthrough after they were done sent me documentation listing everything that was not cleaned. They had to hire another interior cleaning company and carpet cleaning company and we were charged for it. 3. Cigarette butts littering the property: this was the first thing I noticed when I arrived to check their work. As soon as I opened my car door to step out there were cigarette butts all over the driveway under my feet, I couldn't look more than one foot without seeing another one. They were in the front yard, bushes, flower beds- they didn't even attempt to cover them up (because they didn't think I'd be coming back to check as this was a move out clean). I'm in shock that companies like this can still be in existence. At the very least I expected an apology for the cigarette butts, but from the very first conversation that occurred (AFTER they were paid of course) she's been in denial, blame-shifted, talked in circles and completely ignored my biggest complaints. Not once did she take responsibility for even the smallest thing or try to make anything right. The icing on top was she insulted my family and then threatened to sue us if we left a truthful review about our honest experience with their company. Well, I'm willing to take the chance in order that this does not happen to some other innocent and trusting family. If I had seen a review like this beforehand I would have ran and saved myself a ton of headache and money. I have screen shots of the conversations, and before and afters to prove what a fraudulent and disreputable company this is. My brother, in his 80s, and his wife, have challenges. Coming out from Utah to help them with multiple issues, I totally lucked out finding Broke Broads With Brooms. (Who could resist the name?!) Mold, dirt, clutter, and some unhealthy surprises lying in wait, these women didn't hesitate. Armed with the knowledge only years of experience could offer, they tackled an overwhelming job. On the floor, on their hands and knees, toothbrushes in hand, an arsenal of cleaning materials and tools, they worked for hours, two days in a row.
