It's definitely not the cheapest clothes shop out there, but you can always guarantee quality with Next, and I think you pay a fair price for what you get. Clothes that I buy easily last for the time that my child is in them and are still in good enough condition to be passed onto a second and third child. I think children, particularly boys, make a good test of the quality of clothing since they know how to wear them out quickly, and Next has definitely surpassed the quality test better than any other clothes brand my children own. While many clothes stores seem to have a continuous sale, which often appears as a ploy just to get people through the door, Next are one of the few shops to offer a genuine sale at a few select times of the year. People do go totally crazy for the Next sale though, and I personally find it a crowded nightmare, but there are definitely bargains to be had!

The food department, though small has a lot of stock and you can pick up anything from frozen food, to ready meals, snacks or that indulgent treat at the end of the week. They have an okay selection of wine (Could do better but it is a small store and what they stock is good quality wine) and a good selection of soft drinks. They do special events in the school holidays and to promote other keys times, ie Halloween or Christmas. It has an undercover carpark attached, which is not too expensive and is good for when it is raining. There are two coffeee shops in the middle, my favourite is Esquires. All in all, this is a good place to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon, for some retail therapy.

To top that, they have an Olan Mills photograhers in store too. They offer a car seat fitting service from staff trained in car seat safety. I have found that you often have to wait a while before someone is available to help with car seat fitting because it tends to get busy, which is a bit annoying. They offer a bra fitting service for Mums too. They have customer toilets in store, as well as a feeding & changing room, which is always handy when you have a baby. I'm not the biggest fan of the mothercare clothing range - it's pretty expensive & I don't think it's that nice. To sum up, I'd say it's pretty handy to have a big Mothercare like this close by. It's worth a visit if you are having a baby.

I could only find a potty chair and it was £14.99 which is a bit steep really, there were no toilet training seats - even Tesco have those and they're not a Mum and Baby store!The prices are quite high across the board and while I don't mind paying for quality on some items, on others I feel the prices aren't justified.

There is also always a good range of sizes in most items. There are fitting rooms in 2 floors, which is great as I hardly ever have to queue. There are also tills on both floors. They have a separate Customer Services section but often only 1 person serving so I often have to queue for a little while when making a return. My only complaint is that the accessories section is small (not many bags!)
