To all appearances it looks a small shop but they have a good stock. They are helpfull and friendly. It is a shop you connect with quality and that is how it has allways been.Anything you buy from there will look good and people say they have things for ages and they stay looking good.This is the sort of shop we need in this town ,the kind people will come here for.

My parcel from Mainline Menswear was firstly due on and paid for a next day delivery which it…read morewasn't , it was then left in my recycling bin (which was in fact out for collection to be emptied ) their driver from their delivery firm DPD deeming this a safe place to leave my parcel!! This happened on the 22nd December and was a Christmas gift. My bin was emptied with the parcel inside ! It is now February and I still haven't received my refund or a replacement item. Instead I have been expected to wait over 6 almost 7 weeks with no resolution. To have my emails ignored now on two separate occasions by mainlines menswear and my claim of no goods received via Clearpay also ignored and not even responded to. Company now blocking me and deleting any negative review I leave on their socail media pages! Not exactly the actions of an innocent company .. just Shocking !!

How wrong i had been, being of a larger size finding stylish jeans is always a nightmare, I ended comeing away with two pairs with georgious stitching and sequins and they had both been reduced. I read that some stores are going to stock a David Emanuel range so it will be interesting to have a look if Scarborough is one of them.They do stock clothes suitable for special occasions and at a reasonable price.They do larger sizes too and clothes that will mix and match.When we are coming towards the end of a season there sales are worth waching out for. Good clothes at good prices and room to move.

Several of the smaller units on one of the strips have closed down and construction has just started to turn this space into one large unit taken by Next which will be great as the Next we currently have resembles a broom cupboard!! MK One has closed down and with Adams reportedly in trouble, new businesses could be filling these units. hopefully sooner than later. It has craft stalls around the upper mall during certain times of the year and has a good feeling to the place.

There's always lots of pensioners with a trolley…read morefull of ready meals for one mmmmthere's me thinking pensioners were supposed to be struggling on a pension, I certainly can't afford to do my weekly shop there that's for sure! The food hall is very dark and cold and during the refurb they installed a 'bakery' which made us chuckle when we saw it as it was just an oven on a wall ! However their food is good quality and you get what you pay for. Kids clothes are good quality and not too pricey. Womenswear and menswear (upstairs) is a little old fashioned for me at the moment but the place is heaving whenever there's a sale, granny's fighting over a navy twinset is always worth a view. Upstairs there is a little coffee shop which is pleasant enough, selling some of the food you can buy downstairs in the food hall and there's a toilet too. Underwear is good, large selection and not too expensive. I was treated extremely poorly once by a very rude duty manager but that's the only negative experience i've had in there. I do find the whole M&S experience annoying though and by the time i'm leaving i'm almost ready to scream, it's not a calm place to shop.

This is a lovely little book shop which has some absolute treasures hidden away. It has a very old…read morefashioned feel to it, a traditional book shop. Despite being quite a small shop it does have an extensive range of books covering many genres. the shop owner is always happy to order any books for you iof he can. I love just meandering around and browsing at the books, there is no push to force things on you and it's nice to feel free to browse at your leisure. It's a very good shop to take children to introduce them to the wonders of reading.

Debenhams is a large unit covering both floors of the centre. It's pleasant store to visit selling…read moreclothing, cosmetics, perfume, footwear, kitchenware, curtains and household items. It sells clothes mainly for the more mature lady but has several younger concessionary stands inside. Debenhams often has 'events' when the store is open until a ridiculously late hour with discounts on everything in store, blue cross sales, end of season sales, mid season sales, in fact there's nearly a sale for every other week!! This does raise suspicions as to are they really genuine sales but sometimes you can get some really good offers. There is a cafe upstairs and a toliet. The cafe is generally quiet and has a loyalty card, each time a tea or coffee is purchased your card is stamped and when the card is full you can get a free hot drink. It's fairly expensive and doesn't have a huge range to choose from but you are almost always guaranteed to get a table.
