Apparently, she only wanted me to spell my last name, not first. Since I am not a member of the Psychic Friends Network, I wasn't aware of this, and my first name is frequently misspelled. My dog had been seen by them 4 years ago, and due to some unforeseen circumstances, we weren't able to go back. My dog had been fixed and vaccinated during this time, which I tried to explain, but I was shamed and belittled because I had not "kept up the relationship" with them exclusively. I tried to explain the reason for not continuing care through them was because during this time my father had gotten very ill and passed away unexpectedly. She stated I had an attitude, and I wouldn't be happy there. I agree that I would not be happy taking my dog to a place that treats their customers in such a way. How would they treat an animal? For someone in the position of being the first person a customer deals with, she is severely lacking in empathy and simple manners. The unfortunate thing is I had a great first experience there and the vet himself was lovely! Luckily, I was able to call Countryside Veterinarian Medical group, had a lovely person assist me, and got an appointment for my dog the very next day without issue.

First impressions are a big deal when you're walking into a new business that you haven't been to before... the vet was nice but saw us briefly. She was friendly and listened. Then another staff member who came in after that, I not yet had met, with an invoice of over $400 maybe $435. I am a lucky puppy adopter. From what I understood the first visit was free and they didn't charge for the "visit" but tried to squeeze every nickel and dime out of me thereafter. I opted just to get the necessary vaccines and not everything else that they tried to push on me. I figured I could take care of flea and tick treatments elsewhere and for cheaper. Not even sure what the rest of it was that I made them take off. I left feeling like I being taken advantage of and only there to see what they could charge me for. I understand having a dog is an expense which I'm totally prepared to pay for. But in my past experience at other vet offices, I've never been charged such a high amount. I thought checking out another vet would be a nice change since I've been to the other one for over 20 years. But I'm saddened to say I wasn't happy with service. Just to add one more thing, my previous owned dogs at my vet practice of choice were never taken in a separate room for vaccines or blood work which I was not allowed to go in.

They wanted to sedate her again for another biopsy and discuss surgery, but I couldn't get another appointment right away. In the meantime, she took a turn for the worse. On the day of the appointment, I asked if I could drop her off when they opened rather than wait until the afternoon because she felt warm and wasn't eating. She sat in her carrier with an infection and high fever and wasn't seen until minutes before they closed, which was past her appt. time and informed me that they weren't qualified for this type of surgery. At that point, they wanted to keep her overnight so the vet could check on her first thing in the morning. I reluctantly agreed. However, when I picked her up the next day and asked to speak to the vet, I was told she wasn't in yet. They discharged my cat with a bag of medicine, no biopsy, no explanation, and no one to answer questions. About $1500 and two weeks later, my three year old cat was laid to rest due to complications of mammary cancer. I will say that at no point was any of the staff rude, but they did not do anything to help my cat or treat her with the urgency she deserved. They discarded her and charged me a small fortune.

He responded well until last week and then took a nosedive. Coughing, not sleeping with us, no appetite. We could not watch him suffer. Called several veterinarians in the area. All said they were under staffed and could not see us. Dr. Lansing answered his phone and got us in 3 hours later. He and his wife were professional, caring and efficient. Can't say enough good about the care. For under $300 our fur baby was quickly and painlessly euthanized. We will pick up his ashes in 2 to 3 weeks. Cremation was included in the cost.

We have had numerous experiences here: first shots, maintenance care, and the worst reality- yet inevitable - loss of a beloved pet. Veterinary services are in high demand, and the staff at GFAH is nothing short of amazing. Is there a wait time once you arrive for a same-day appointment? Yes - they are squeezing you and your pet in between scheduled appointments. It's an unfortunate consequence. Additionally, in a post-COVID world, nothing is instantaneous anymore - the wait time results from the demand and available resources. Our experience with the Vet(s) has been nothing short of phenomenal. They are conservative and pragmatic and always leave the decisions regarding treatment to the owner. One of our German Shepherds had cluster seizures that began at the age of three. They gave us a life expectancy of five years - with their constant monitoring and guidance, he lived to be ten. Gave us some meds for diarrhea (flagyl-which I love!) and something to try to stop the vomiting (which is pretty random). We had a VERY nice meeting with him and are so relieved. We opted for an injection that he gets once a month, asprin & a pain medication - so far our 11 year old fur baby is doing much better, walking (short distances), he still can't jump up on the couch - but at least he's not in so much pain.

He disappeared on Thursday and was gone until Tuesday the week my girl died. My vet couldn't even get in touch with him. My girl died on Wednesday and I never got a condolence call from these people. What I did get was a call a week after she died to remind me of her appointment on Friday. I called again and told them she died. Did they say we are sorry for your loss? Nope. Kali caused my chihuahua severe discomfort on multiple occasions. He had an anal gland rupture and…read morethey not only didn't prescribe pain meds, they neglected to flush it, and proceeded to tell me to hot compress the wound 2/3 times a day. Causing not only my guy to be in unnecessary pain but it brought the other anal gland to rupture a week later. This happened about every two months despite anal glands being drained per their request. Finally I went to another vet. They not only flushed the wound they provided pain meds which I was never given before. I asked them about after care and hot compressing it. They were shocked. I then explained the experience I had at Quaker Animal hospital and they said that was cruel to even consider with out pain meds. Not to mention more than likely what caused the immediate rupture to the other side. Ever since going to the other vet I have only had one other rupture. As opposed to every two months for a year. Kali had me convinced he needed a surgery she couldn't perform . However that's not the case. Even better they messed up their records with my mother's pets and claimed she had a cat on file which never existed that had not gotten its vaccines because the pet never existed, thus causing my mom to not be able to adopt a dog when the adoption company called to verify her vets they told them Drew had a cat that was not up to date on shots. When my mother called about the mysterious cat they claimed they did no such thing and there was no cat on record. Well today my mom called to get her dogs their shots and the receptionist decided to tell her she's not welcome there any more and neither am I. Why because we bad mouthed the vets . All that was done was expressed their faulty practices. S after the receptionist was rude to my mom they faxed over her records. Lo and behold there's a cat banned Smokey from 2018 on file that my mom has never owned. The vet cats name that was given to the agency that my mom was told was never mentioned. And frankly my mom addressed them nobody else. I'm the one who had stuff to say. So now that they were rude to my mom I'm going to put these nice reviews up . If your dog has a serious issue this is not the vet to go to. The fact they can't even keep proper records and act so unprofessional is just icing on the cake.
