These people are predators. My mother had pre paid services and since she passed I have repeatedly…read morereceived mailings asking me personal information and that I will receive a free planning guide if I answer. Now e-mails are arriving trying to sell me services. EVERY correspondence claims I have shown interest. I have yet to receive a call from a Schoedinger family member as I was told I would the last time I complained, which doesn't surprise me since previous complaints haven't stopped the harassment. I keep demanding to see written proof that I requested information. It is a shame that they gave my information to some company when all I did was have my mother's funeral there a few months ago. Let the survivors RIP.

My son passed away July 9th 2016 and i was not told about my sons death my ex husband Scott Clapham…read morefrom Kentucky came to Columbus had a meeting with Matt Picklestein and they together tried to cut me out of the whole funeral. I found out 3 days later my son passed away i believe if i had not found out thru a friend that Schoedenger and Mr Clapham would had deceived me and continued on with his cremation without me (His Mother) even knowing. They together put an obituary in the Dispatch full of falsehoods when i asked Matt to change it or remove it he called my ex and they together decided to keep it up .i payed for a whole cremation of my son and was given no rights or respect from Schoedenger or Scott Clapham. This was my son i raised alone as mr. Clapham moved away and left his son years ago when George was 3 . So i write this review heart broken and so much hurt as i feel no mother should be treated the way i was by Matt picklestein of Schoedenger Funeral home and mr Scott E Clapham of Georgetown Kentucky. I am a respected person of the community and own a business in Dublin Ohio. Sincerely Georges Mother.

I am beyond upset with what we experienced today visiting family and friends at this cemetery…read more Obviously they were using Memorial Day weekend as a way to try to lure future customers in. They had a table set up out front that people could visit and that should've been enough but that isn't why people are there. They are there to grieve and honor, especially this weekend. As we're standing there at the grave of a loved one, one of their staff mows over all of the graves to approach us. In my mind I'm thinking, "don't do it. I know they don't have the audacity." Nope...they're doing it. They stop and ask if we are thinking of being buried close to our loved ones there. I told them this was not the time or place for a sales pitch and off they drove over about 8 rows of graves to get back to the road. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!?!?! We *were* considering being there but this gross display of playing on the grief of people when you know you're going to have the highest turnout was completely inappropriate. It turned our family off to the idea of being at a place where they might try to bother other grieving family in the future when we're gone. I don't care if corporate encouraged them to do it or if they thought they'd take advantage of the extra traffic but it was offensive.

They were very professional, efficient, dedicated, and caring. The funeral director, the limo driver, the office staff, even the motorcade security all took this task as if it were their own family. That is how they made me feel and that was my experience with the Diehl-Whittaker team. They strove for excellence and they made us feel like family. We are grateful to Diehl-Whittaker for the care and expertise they lent in facilitating this day for our dear departed Father.

I think it's awful funny that after the complaint on yelp and them trying to get the comment resented ,all of a sudden they're open to have at least 50 people to attend funerals of loved ones and family members. Since Mc Nabb went out of business, our family has used Diehl-Whittier on a regular basis. The buck STOPS here, I will never endorse their services for anyone that I care about. We come from a very large and extended family. when asked where do you want your loved one to go it's Definitely not Diehl Whittaker. I truly feel that they are insensitive to peoples feelings, they arein a business to give the deceased a proper burial or cremation but they need to remember to have empathy and compassion for the family. It's not all about the money and that's what it seems like what happened with my brother. You are in the business to bury humans and not treat people if they were a cat ,dog ,bird whatever. The Bible says I must forgive in order for my heavenly father forgive me. I forgive the staff of Diehl Whitaker and I will not call names, you know who you are. As for using your service or recommending your service again I (we) choose NOT to. There are many other funeral homes in the Columbus area. Maybe some sensitivity classes would be warranted and some additional training. Thank you Karla Brown
