A group from our Senior Center in Ripley WV had our monthly outing on the 24th of June. We…read morenumbered about 35 guests. The food was very delicious . I'm not sure what everyone ordered because we were seated in 2 different rooms, don't know why. We managed to visit with all. My dinner was a 3 item dinner, I had a small salad with their Fire Chicken, 1/2 chicken salad sandwich and a small bowl of cheddar bacon soup. I left there very full & friends teased me "that I ate the whole thing" No complaints except for someone saying a Senior Discount was available at the front register, but you had to ask for it. That's incorrect because the cashier said there's no such thing. I believe you have to sign up online and join Bob Evans Restaurant Club

We were one of two cars in the lot, so we figured we'd have a quick dinner and be on our way…read more And order of tenders/fries, a standard breakfast (eggs/bacon/biscuits), and a half sandwich/soup. When the breakfast was ordered, the server left before it could be specified. My wife had to catch her to tell her scrambled eggs. She started to walk away again, my wife stopped her to tell her bacon. Off she went, my wife had to stop her and tell her biscuits. It seems that if you order breakfast without swiftly specifying, you'll get over easy eggs, bacon, and yet to be determined bread option. It took a very long time, and we learned that they had two new cooks. No problem, it's going to take longer. Cool. Waitress kept our drinks filled, was friendly, explained things. No problem. Food arrives, my daughter's tenders and fries arrived. Only 2 of three tenders. Seriously overcooked tenders. My daughter ate one and left the other. My wife only has her scrambled eggs and bacon. We learn then that they were out of biscuits and they just started them. It would be twenty minutes. My sandwich and soup were great, no complaints. Overall, we were there for well over an hour and received only a portion of what we ordered, some of it burnt beyond being edible. I thought it would be reasonable to get a discount. Server couldn't help, which I understand, but she got the manager. The manager offered 10% off. The lack of customer service skills displayed by the manager was absolutely wild. BTW, this was the first time I have ever asked to be comped in my life and it was miserable. Strongly suggest bypassing this location. We'll continue to frequent other Bob Evans locations as it's a favorite.

Visited this location last night for an impromptu date night with my wife…read more Despite the holiday weekend, the business was busy and we had about a fifteen minute wait to be seated (they have both inside and outside waiting seating), we chose a bench outside in the cool evening air. Once our table was ready, we were notified by the hostess and seated at a high top near the bar (bar seating it first come first serve at the bar). They also have low top tables for parties of 4 to 6. Despite being close to the bar, we were still able to talk easily and noise level was acceptable. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and made some helpful suggestions that we used. We ordered a pickle fries appetizer with ranch dipping sauce with our drinks. These came out quickly and were still hot from the fryer but they were good and the homemade ranch was really good (our server advised they make all their sauces and dips in house). For our mains, we both ordered the original burger - a half pound burger on a bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles topped with ketchup, mustard and mayo. We also opted to pay an extra fifty cents to add cheese (American for me and provolone for her). We also opted to pay an extra fee to add sweet potato fries and onion rings to our meals as opposed to fresh cut chips. The burgers were a little slow getting out and drinks began to run dry. Once our burgers came out, they looked great but mine was a little salty and I could taste the salt over the other toppings in my first bite. After that the burger leveled out and we enjoyed our meal. My wife did not like the Maple Siracha dipping sauce that came with her sweet potato fries and after trying it, I was not impressed either. All in all, a good meal at a fair price. Good place for a casual date.
