Maybe this was just an off day! I have never had a spray or airbrush tan before, so I had no idea how any of the session worked. I made an appointment for a "wedding set" tan. I looked at the website and on line to prep myself because I wanted to be sure I did everything possible for this tan to work for my wedding day and have it last for a few days. I exfoliated with a loofah and purchased the proper cream to put on afterward so that it would last! I was so excited to have a tanned glow for my wedding day! Kim was very sweet and professional. I felt totally comfortable from the moment I arrived. She gave me the instructions on what to do while she stepped out. She was all ready to start spraying and realized she hadn't put one of the components that came with my package into the sprayer. She didn't know until she was sitting there that I had purchased a wedding package. I'm not sure she put any of them in. She added it and started to spray. When we were done, she started up a fan and said to turn around for a bit in front of it for one minute until I was dry and she would meet me at the front desk. I did that and stayed a bit longer because I could feel I was still wet. I knew she was waiting, so I didn't stay too long. The package was supposed to come with bronzing setting powder, but I never saw that. I did not even realize that never happened until I got home. I was very careful all day to keep the really loose clothing on. I waited at least 4 hours longer than the minimum wait time to shower. I wasn't seeing much happen all day and evening, but figured overnight would be when the big difference would happen. I woke up the next morning and the only way I knew I had ANY tan at all was by the streaking and splotches of the little tan I did have! It was so minimal, no one would have noticed it. My legs and feet had big areas of missing tan as did the rest of my body. When my husband saw it finally, he just laughed and said well, I told it would be a waste of money! Boy was he right! I could have gone to a handful of places very near by at 1/2 the price! Fortunately there was not a whole lot of my body being seen and I was able to blend in the splotchiness with makeup and powder. Within 5 days, you could not see any remnants of the "tan". In all fairness I had not called to say anything to Kim because I was leaving on a 6am flight the morning after my tan. There would have been no time for her to remedy the situation. I'm just reviewing now, because I would suggest to DEFINITELY do a test tan session before putting all your hopes on it turning out right the first time!

When I walked in I was greeting like usual and then I was told my birthday bash membership could not be renewed in August (it's April) and that I needed to renew it, she said do you want to do that today, and I said no, she then gives me a face (the I'm annoyed you didn't buy face) and says okay. Then asks me about my time in the bed, I say full time, she then suggests a lower time since I haven't been in in a while, I say no I have used the bed at the gym, again the face and an okay. Next she asks about my lotion, I say I don't have any with me but I'm good I have two bottles, she then tried to sell me single packets, I say no I'm good, and AGAIN the face with an okay. It was beyond obvious that she was annoyed that I wouldn't buy anything extra from her. I've never had a staff member as STC make me feel this way, and it really make me not want to visit this location again. Apprehensive to get a spray tan on one of the biggest days of my life, I did a trial a month before. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was shocked that it was spray. So I pulled the trigger and got a second spray 2 days before my wedding. Hot. Mama. Aside from looking good, the service itself was so professional. The owner is kind, intelligent, and LOVES what she does. I was honest with her about one thing I wanted to be a tad different and she took that suggestion like a champ. Her feelings weren't hurt. There are plenty of options with payment (monthly), or by the bed/single use. There's super great lotion options from super affordable to higher end. The girl at the front desk was nice, but the system is set up to prey on people, and of course "we don't offer refunds". On top of that they put their employees in a terrible situation with no ability to actually help a customer who has paid them thousands of dollars over the years. Jokes on me.
