I came in for a cleaning and the dentist told the assistant to run my xrays through AI. This immediately set off alarm bells for me, as I expect a trained dentist to be able to identify cavities with their eye and not rely on AI, which we know makes mistakes. AI said I had 4 cavities, which I thought sounded like too many because I'm diligent about my dental hygiene. But I went ahead and got two of them filled. On one of the fillings the dentist kept drilling and drilling, and despite being numbed, I could feel it. I raised my hand to say I could feel it and he just stopped and started filling it. I was like - if I hadn't raised my hand, would he have just kept going? I then had persistent pain in the tooth for a week (there was zero pain before) so I went to another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out the dentist had not adjusted the filling to my bite correctly, so the way I was biting was inflaming the nerves in my tooth. Adjusting fillings to bite is Dentistry 101, so why wasn't that done? The new dentist also said he drilled so close to my nerves that I was almost in a root canal situation. Fortunately not, but wow, that really scared me. He also said I only needed one other filling, he didn't at all see this 4th filling I was told I needed. I saw another review on here of a man who was told he needed 7 fillings and then a second opinion said he only needed 4, so this isn't a one-off instance. It seems like this place prioritizes making as much money as possible, and therefore wants to sell as many procedures as possible, regardless of negative health impacts. I was also forced to buy a $30 prescription toothpaste, what a rip-off. They also push their in-house orthodontist heavily on people. I'm happy with my teeth even though they're not perfect, so I was not thrilled about the dentist unprompted telling me all the ways I could make them better with their orthodontist. In this economy?! I'm happy I found another dentist who doesn't put money first.

My Experience With This Practice…read more Dr. Amir was the surgeon who performed my wisdom tooth procedure. I had all four of my wisdom teeth scheduled to be removed at this practice. I paid for all four extractions, and my insurance was also billed for all four. I also paid the required copay for each tooth. I underwent general anesthesia and went through the recovery and pain believing that all four teeth had been removed. After the procedure, I was told by Dr. Amir and the staff that the procedure had been completed. At my follow-up appointment, I was again led to believe that everything had been taken care of. Later, I visited my general dentist, who took X-rays and informed me that one of my wisdom teeth was still present and had not been removed. I returned to the practice and brought this to Dr. Amir's attention. He apologized and asked me to contact the staff regarding a resolution. After contacting the staff, I was reimbursed only the $136 copay associated with the tooth that had not been removed. What makes this even more frustrating is that because of this mishap, I now have to go through another extraction and another round of recovery, pain, and inconvenience--something I should not have had to go through if the procedure had been completed correctly the first time. My concern is that I was charged for a procedure that was not fully performed, my insurance was billed for all four teeth, and I was not informed that one tooth remained until my general dentist discovered it through X-rays. We showed up for the consultation appointment and waited for almost an hour to be seen; when we go back, the dentist was looking at 2 yr old xrays and I had to point that fact out to him because he couldn't read the date...which i though was kind of a red flag, pink it least. So, they do updated xrays and we move forward with the consultation and I schedule an appt to get my sons wisdom teeth removed. The appointment was scheduled more than 30 days out... the evening before the appointment on June 6, 2025, I received a call saying the insurance was still not confirmed and unless i wanted to pay out of pocket, they would have to reschedule the appointment. I asked them to call me back to schedule once they verify insurance. This place NEVER called back. What I have received, 2 billings for $10.93 with no indication why i was billed. I get it it's $10.93, it least its not $110.93. I paid this a month ago because I realize this place is not good and I just want them to go away. Today, August 1, 2025, I received the same billing for $10.93. I called at 330pm on a Friday and the office is closed, but the office hours are listed to be open til 430pm. The point in all this is, don't waste your time with this practice, find a better place for you or your family member to be put under and have someone cutting into your mouths.

Somebody wrote a note here saying you already did it!" I got pulled to the back by an assistant (?), she never introduced herself or what role she did. She spoke to me about cleaning and flossing as if I were a 5 year old child. I'm a petite woman who is on the younger side, but cmon. As someone who's worked in healthcare for over 5 years, this was the worst bedside manner I've ever seen and experienced in my life. Dr. Nguyen was the next person in the room and spoke about 5 words to me then left. I am interested in doing Invisalign but they do consultations only on Wednesdays and Fridays with the last appointment being at 4pm. Nothing on Saturdays. My biggest advice: GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING BEFORE TREATMENT, especially if you are paying out of pocket. For years I asked for the warranty information on implants and crowns. I repeatedly heard, "We'll give it to you next visit" or "We'll email it." I specifically asked again on July 25, and it still never came. After repeatedly following up, I was finally told in writing that they do not provide a warranty on implants or crowns. I truly wish they had told me this BEFORE I spent thousands of dollars. What surprised me even more is that other doctors I consulted--where I am not even an established patient--provided their warranty information and explained their coverage upfront during the consultation. I believe I should have received that same transparency before starting treatment here. My biggest disappointment involved my bone graft. The surgeon performed the graft in preparation for my implant but then had to leave the state before completing it. Had I known he would be leaving, I would not have started this procedure with him. I was then told to find another surgeon before losing the graft. Finding a qualified surgeon you trust to take over someone else's treatment doesn't happen overnight. The area had previously measured around 8 mm, but by the time I found another surgeon it was approximately 5-6 mm. Now I have to go through another bone graft before I can get my implant. Another situation that confused me involved whether this tooth could have been treated at the same time as my other tooth. I was told there was concern that my body might not handle doing both. However, when I later consulted other doctors, I was told they believed it could have been done. What concerned me was that this conversation came from management. It left me wondering: Is the manager making administrative decisions or clinical decisions? I would expect decisions about what my body can medically handle to come directly from the treating doctor after discussing the risks and options with me. What disappointed me even more was how the situation was handled afterward. As a long-term patient, I expected the doctor to look at the entire situation and try to work with me. Instead, I did not feel my overall situation was addressed. Even after everything, I was still willing to return for my crowns. I asked management to speak with the doctor about matching another doctor's crown price considering what had happened. I was immediately told no. I wasn't asking for free treatment. I was asking for some consideration after everything I had already gone through. Also, don't automatically assume you are getting the "best price." After consulting multiple doctors, including one in Leesburg who offers options to help patients without insurance, I found that I could receive the same treatment and additional services for an overall lower price than this office. I believe everything happens for a reason because this experience led me to another doctor I feel comfortable moving forward with. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not return to this office and I cannot recommend it. Please get multiple opinions and, most importantly, get your prices, treatment plan, additional fees, and warranty policy IN WRITING before starting treatment. Now let's see how many brand-new 5-star reviews suddenly pop up after this one. I'll just leave that right here.
