I was told it "should be covered by insurance" and that I'd only pay the difference, so I agreed to move forward. At checkout, I paid $350 and was told I'd be reimbursed after insurance was billed. Later, I found out my insurance didn't cover it at all. My concern wasn't that insurance denied the claim, it was that I was led to believe my coverage had been verified. Had I known I would likely be responsible for the full cost, I would have waited until I was financially ready. I asked if they could offer a discount given the misinformation, but after more than two months of trying to reach the manager, I was told there was nothing they could do because I had received the service. What disappointed me most was the lack of accountability and willingness to address my concerns. I ended up canceling my follow-up appointment and won't be returning. I would recommend confirming that your insurance has actually been verified before agreeing to any treatment that could leave you paying out of pocket.

I was seen by Doctor Sahar Mehr. She quickly assessed the issue and understood that all I really needed was a "reglue". She was very careful and confirmed if there was any sensitivity - surprise! there was, a LOT! She quickly numbed the area, and after a few minutes waiting for the novocaine to take effect, she applied the adhesive and reglued my crown. Caps, Bridges and Partial Plates…read more This dental office seemed to be reputable and conveniently located for necessary extensive care. My total treatment will have addressed at least 18 teeth-either cosmetically crowned, bridged or partialed. My bridge is comfortable, made with modern material and all of my crowns are securely anchored. My two tooth bridge, however, was problematic from the get-go, not lasting even a year before detaching. Over the course of the year, they reattached it many times hassle-free, to no lasting avail. I was patient, but overtime became disgruntled believing this was all that was going to happen (reattachment). No one wants to pay for anything twice-especially when work, for whatever reason, isn't durable. Oral upkeep is not cheap and the economy isn't getting any better with Captain Cheetoh Chancre ruining the world. Recently , the sublime Dr. Fadi decided to redo the bridge entirely. I was then treated to a complementary polishing. All-doctors, techs and front office are competent, professional and understanding. The atmosphere is cheerful and harmonious...Dr. Embry worthy of mention. I have at least three more teeth to fix and will continue here because they are FAIR. I thought all was well with my care here UNTIL I had to have one of their caps CORRECTED. The cap…read morethat was ordered never came. In its place came one that was the wrong size and wrong shape. They told me they would call the dental facility that made it and have that one replaced with the CORRECT cap. They did NOT do this. When I came back to have the correct one put in, it turns out they just gave me the same WRONG cap and tried to pass that one off. THE CAP IS IN MY SMILE ZONE MAKING IT PAINFULLY OBVIOUS. By the way, I subsequently found out they had shaved part of the perfectly good tooth in front of said cap in order to slap the wrong cap in. After some back and forth, I saw they would do nothing more to rectify this "mishap" so I had to switch dentists all together. My insurance company has a 5-year limit per cap/per tooth on what can be adjusted. Since 5 years hadn't passed. I had to take out a grievance with them (the insurance company) after filing several complaints when the pre-auths were rejected. I am still waiting on that grievance to be completed. It has been two and a half years that I have been waiting for something to be done on this same cap. My previous review was a glowing testament to Dr. Amini and Dental Associates of Torrance. 5-STARS! I'd like to apologize to anyone who was misled by me however, I could not have known, at that time, just how problematic working with this dental office could be. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO TRUST IN THIS DENTIST AND WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM.
