Popped in to drop off car, they said to wait, let them check, a few bolts on the wheel were loose, so they went over every wheel, 30 mins fiddling that they said was 'no charge' i paid the man a tenner. It's a bit insulting when they returned my car with new and dangerous defect both times I give if for them for a simple service! Each time It's been running fine when I dropped it off, but the 1st time I used them, as we drove through France the vibrations around the brakes was so strong we had to stay around 50mph until we could get back and have the brakes changed. A year later, I though, fair enough, it might have been a one off and I'm always quite Brixton-centric, but this time they broke the Diesel pipe for the diesel filter so that car was leaking fuel very obviously when they gave it back. They are shut on Fridays (not mentioned) and we had a boat to catch, so another garage (Manolo - grumpy but great) opened-up and found that off the hoses they had accidentally pulled-out (a few meaning that the car have almost no power above 30mph), the fuel filter connection have been roughly bent and broken. When they re-opened I told them and he promised to pay for the damage, and them never did. Don't bother. Go for the atmosphere, the dappled light through the grease covered skylights, bit don't go with your car.

Neven again. 1st off all the time it took to repair the car was 7 days. At first, they said they thought it was contaminated fuel, even though I told them that it had had half a tank of fuel go through the engine with no problem (it smelt funny like petrol they said). after 2 days of them having my car I phoned them to find out what was happening they told me it was not contaminated fuel, they said it was a regulator valve on the pump inlet (they had ordered the valve and was going to fit it without my consent) this was quoted at £105 (on the bill it's is down for £130) for the valve and with labour it would cost worst case scenario it would be a total of £300 + vat. So, told them to go ahead and do the work but to keep me informed. I had to keep checking in to find out when the part came and when they were going to fit it no curtesy car was offered. I then eventually went down to the garage to ask what was happening. They said they would fit it that day and ring me if there was anything else needed to do, I asked if it would be at 4:30 Nev said would be before that. I waited until 5 and rang them. They told me it was done and to come down. After getting there I then waited 40 minutes as he fixed up a bill, he told me that it would be £565 this is because he has to fit another part the filter housing as it was sucking in air ( was this the problem in the first place and nothing to do with the valve?). This was not authorised by me and there was a lack of communication. I argued the bill and he knocked off an hour labour (£90) this is all well and good but this is still £115 over the worst case scenario price. Do these people think we have money stuffed in the matrass waiting? Overall: - No communication - Not done in a reasonable time - Work done to car without authorisation - Not transparent with work or cost - should be called Nev'll fix it (eventually) at your peril

Tom diagnosed the problem, phoned me with several updates throughout the time I had my car with him and informed me on parts to replace before going ahead with the work. Now I have a new complete clutch assembly, including clutch fork, upper & lower clutch fork bushes, clutch fork repair kit, release bearing guide bush and clutch cable installed. For those who know about French cars these types of jobs are not for the faint hearted, but this was nothing new for the wonder boy genius Tom! I highly recommend TJB's quality of service, workmanship, knowledge, customer satisfaction and most importantly the competitive pricing strategy(note: Peugeot Dealers would have ripped my right arm for a job like this). Also I had previously had my car serviced with him & found out down the line that he had not refilled my oil after draining it to replace?!! I was driving my car without oil!! Turning up and seeing taxis waiting for works seemed a good sign and I think it was. The car passed its MOT with a list of recommendations I cant argue with. The owner ran through what I need to do and when and said to do it in pieces as and when I can afford it, zero pressure. Nice guy, seems genuine and honest - wish id used him all along and not Kwik Fit. Very good opening hours, polite and knows his stuff. On a selfish note I hope others keep using him so he remains open so I can keep using him!
