Don't bother. After walking down to the beach box and finding they did not do sit down breakfast I got a take away coffee and continued looking around town for somewhere to grab breakfast. We chose the beach hut. We sat down and stared looking at the menu. The woman came over and her first words were to advise me that she did not appreciate me bringing my take away coffee into her shop. Now I get that, it's not ideal, but is this a way to welcome customers? She then hovered over me very uncomfortably without saying anything. I said we would come up to the counter to order (as the sign said) when we were ready. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and not welcome. I decided to leave and as we walked out she said nastily, "so you've taken offense now?" I said that she had made it very awkward to stay and left. I understand it's not ideal to bring a take away to a cafe, but I think she needs to think big picture here. My coffee was nearly empty, we were bringing business to her otherwise empty shop and I do have more than one coffee with my breakfast. Think before you speak next time. Go to lulus instead, lovely people and great food. read more
