But you know, us mama's got take our lil dudes to keep their hair looking tight. So in I'd come w my boy, and the entire vibe changed in an instant. They did this for every woman who walked in w her son, or any man who came in w an under-age young man. I always, always appreciated that. We were regulars and hence did witness on rare occasions things getting a little "out of hand". It was swiftly dealt w and the barbers always apologized. Ralphie's haircuts were always wonderful. It seemed almost all the customers were regulars. There was low turn over of the barbers and it was always great to hear who got married, who had a new baby, what grade the kids are now in, etc. We miss The Shop so much and have yet been able to find such a wonderful spot!

While I've not seen the flick "Barbershop" I now know it'd be a waste of my time. The Shop was an experience so authentic that there's no way Hollywood could've got it right.
