The colorful mural features musical instruments and lots of swirls. It kind of reminds me of something I would see in the liner notes of The Beatles' Yellow Submarine album, but that could just be my take on it. Apparently, the artist was listening to classical music when she painted it, so I could be projecting here.
According to something I read, Hammonds was inspired to paint the mural as an homage to Indiana, a state that is flat and doesn't have mountains or oceans, but is still beautiful in its own way. I like that! read more
