I am an opiate addict of 25 years and have found Hope for the future and for others that are in the…read moresame hell as I have been due to lack of Education very poorly mistreated due to the transient lifestyle choices Made that led up to using opiates developed extreme PTSD from biased uneducated staff who overworked and whatever reason for each person at each time had led to extremely poor experiences. now because of these bad experiences that I know that every single one of us opiate addicts have experienced in the emergency room I don't know the statistics but I do know from myself knowing and I'm talking to other like-minded addicted to people that all of them would rather die or get to a point where they are close to death then have to go back and into that scenario where they are mistreated and treated very poorly because of a choice they made a choice that made them become an opiate addict. I could be a judge and secretly little children but be treated better than an opiate addict would be. I didn't think I would ever get clean and sober until I got so infected again I had to go through emergency and by the grace of God I was at the Royal Alec where the arch team is located where they specify specifically on opiate addiction and withdrawal. The Specialist here are amazing at what what they do cuz that's what they do it is probably been that most easiest transition I've ever had to do Haswell hey I was forced to quit twice in jail and any opiate addict reading this I'm sure has done the same thing. All I know is if you are truly ready this is the place to be but if you're not ready don't bother but if you are yes they are Miracles miracle workers I'm living proof never thought I'd ever get off and I want to stay off I'm just I'm done. if anybody else has stayed here and been successful and know exactly what I'm talking about this place needs more donations that needs to be bigger at needs to be more well-known it needs to be put out there to the public the ones that are addicted to opiates that I feel like there is nowhere to turn it needs to be brought up into the light so they know that there is a place that if they are ready to quit they can so again donations donations donations donations as addict in recovery this would be a very good fantastic place to donate if your business is looking to donate that extra money instead of giving it back to the government and why not fix the problem instead of ignoring it please have a heart the ones I can do isn't that how the Law of Attraction Works anyway I've said enough out of 10 I vote 10 for this place but it could be a lot bigger and it just needs money thank you for taking the time to read this

I really felt that my usual doctor wasn't taking me seriously, and I really did NOT want to take all these weird medications with scary side effects. I chose Dr. Dacyshyn based on a combination of the services outlined on her website and a gut feeling :p I've seen her twice now, and she's really great! The first time was an hour-long consultation where I just got to say everything that was bothering me. I really felt like she listened, and she understood my problems really well. She knew I didn't have much money, and was very accommodating for that, keeping her prescriptions to a minimum and letting me know what was essential vs. just good to have. The things she prescribed me work like a charm- I stopped getting sick, have a lot more energy, my depression and anxiety have improved dramatically, and no side effects! Also, herself and the other people I've spoken with in her office are very helpful and friendly just in general. I would recommend Dr. Dacyshyn to anyone wanting to try naturopathic medicine :)

I decided to see Dr. Lena Kim, because she has good credentials, and her office is located on 124th street, so it was easy for me to get there. It's not cheap to see a naturopath. I can't quite remember how much my visit was, but the first time must have cost me over a $100--this is for a 55 minute session. Any visit after that is around $60, and they do give student discounts. Before I went, I had to fill out quite a few pages of paperwork about my medical history. When I met Lena Kim she was really nice. I really got the sense that she was interested in helping me. She didn't just want to prescribe me something or tell me to take something. She was genuinely concerned and motivated to help me feel better. After we spoke, and she got a sense of what my needs were, she did a number of muscle testings on me. I didn't know what this was, and I felt rather odd and skeptical, while she was doing it. First, she had me hold my arm straight out. Then she had me hold jars with different herbs in them. For each jar, she would press on my arm. The idea is that if I could resist the pressure, my body needs the herb. If I cannot resist the pressure, my body doesn't need it or is allergic to it. After the testing she gave me a sheet of paper with all the things I need to eat or take and when I need to take them. She had some suggestions of some vitamins and herbs I should buy from her. She was really sensitive to the fact that I didn't have a lot of money, so she suggest I just buy one or two, and she even suggested places I could get some of the things cheaper! She also gave me many print-outs, like on skin brushing and deep breathing, that were really helpful. Her suggestions really did help a lot, but unfortunately I didn't have the money to keep seeing her. When I can afford it again though, I will definitely go back.
