14/10 MUST HIRE If you are on the fence about hiring a videography team, get off the fence and hire Etch Films. Etch Films exceeded our expectations and captured our wedding day PERFECTLY!!! The wedding video was one of the most important aspects of our wedding (in my eyes) so I knew we had to choose someone epic to capture it and edit it to perfection. My husband and I didn't want a "cliche" or "cheesy" wedding video that looked like everyone else's....you know the type. We wanted something fun, exciting, unique...and Etch films was 100% the way to go. From our first meeting with Jordan and Julie, we knew we had made the right decision. Your videography team is so important, and you want to choose people that you get along with! Jordan and Julie are the sweetest and coolest people/ vendors that we have ever met, like literally. They make you feel 100% comfortable and they bring out the best in their clients on wedding/event day! We were so impressed with the creativity of Etch films and we appreciated that they captured all the amazing moments of our wedding day and somehow managed to also be "behind the scenes" most of the time! They are so talented when it comes to editing the footage and putting it to awesome music. We left it up to them to choose the music and they knocked it out of the park! They are wonderful at finding out your favorite parts of wedding videos and the vibe you are going for, and making sure that your video reflects that. Etch films truly cares about you and they go above and beyond to make sure that they deliver the perfect video. We were so impressed that even the music was perfectly synced up with what we were doing at that moment in the video! One of the best decisions we ever made for our wedding was investing in Etch Films. They are a vendor team like no other, they are amazingly talented humans, they are wonderful people. Do yourself a favor; invest in a team that will capture the joyful, silly, fun, candid, and amazing moments of your day. This will be what you watch after your wedding, you will show this to family and friends for years to come. Make sure it is a legendary video. The ONLY way to ensure that you get the best video ever, is to go with Etch Films. They are worth everything, they are amazing. We love them! :) read more

The absolute best there is! Jordan and Julie were right beside us for every detail of our day and we will be forever grateful for these memories on film. Day of, they were always around with a smile on their faces, capturing the moments I was afraid everyone else missed but were also somehow completely invisible, never ever in the way. Even my Mother commented multiple times during the day about how pleasant and kind they were while also being on top of every single moment of the day. I work in the wedding industry and kindness is rarely a thing you see but it is even more rare when partnered with talent on this level. Also, I am very awkward in front of the camera and I require a little direction, our photographer took a very hands off approach so having the very thoughtfully composed shots and lighting that were very carefully directed by Jordan and Julie are invaluable to having the beautiful moments of the day preserved for years to come. As a visual person, I was most impressed with their story telling, they really understood and conveyed the theme and story I had in my mind of the day without every having to be told or spelled out for them. Their art direction, cinematography and ability to tell a story are as good as it gets! After watching our film an unreasonable number of times, I still pick up on nuances where they timed the flip of a dress of the movement in a shot to match up with the music. There are easter eggs hidden throughout the film for us to find and I have so much fun explaining them to friends when watching. Etch Films is next level and I feel both lucky and impossibly grateful that I get to relive our wedding day anytime I want. In fact, I'm going to watch it again right now because it is my favorite thing to watch. I almost feel sorry for my friends who hired other videographers because there is no comparison in the videos they have when put next to our stunning film. And if you don't believe me, please go watch the film, it really does speak for itself. read more

Hiring a videographer for our 11/11/12 wedding wasn't even on our radar. However, getting Etch Films to shoot ours was probably the best decision we made in wedding planning. Our video turned out amazing and we have friends and family who still rave about it. You know it's good when you have friends of friends watch it and cry. We are so proud of it and have such a great keepsake because Jordan and Julie captured our day perfectly. We wanted our day to be a mix of romance and fun, and you can see it all in our video. Words cannot describe how much of a gift it is to relive your wedding day whenever you want - it's just not the same with photographs. This duo was professional, punctual and they work their butts off. Their style is fun, fresh, unique and most importantly, timeless. Jordan, we hope you enjoy doing what you do because you've found your passion and you. are. so. good! :) Thanks again, Etch Films. read more

Jordan and Julie are absolute wizards at what they do. I really CANNOT say enough great things about them and their work. They captured our wedding in such a beautiful and unique way that I honestly don't think anyone else could have told the story of our day as well as they did. I've seen a million "nice" wedding videos, but it was very important to me that our wedding day was captured in a way that stood out from the rest. Jordan and Julie did just that! Not only did they create something beautiful, they turned it into a work of art that we'll cherish forever. And, they both have genuinely warm personalities which made them super easy and awesome to work with. Trust me when I say if you hire these ARTISTIC ANGELS then I promise you that your video will be way cooler than all of your friends' :) read more

While we were venue shopping we came across etch films. It was the first wedding video we really watched and paid attention to all details, and we quickly realized etch delivered high quality material. As we continued our videography research, since etch is located in SoCal, and we were getting married in NorCal, we were searching for their quality in our area. After dozens of videos we weren't finding anything that we wanted, or rather anything that would match their quality of product. We asked if etch would be willing travel, and we were given a quick response, "of course!" Beyond the stunning cinematography we first witnessed, their attention to detail was readily apparent from the beginning. It began with their intake questionnaire, asking us to detail our preferences for the video (musical genres, 1 vs. 2 songs, vibes etc) and to comment on any additional requests. On the day of, the etch crew were so easy to work with, making us feel extra special. They were so personable, my husband kept trying to entice them onto the dance floor just to enjoy the party! Once the final product was complete, it arrived in a super cute package with popcorn and candy! The video truly captured the essence of the event. The editing was expertly timed, the cinematic effects were captivating, and the quality of the video was stunning. But most of all, what we loved, is our video is unique to us, and is not video footage placed into a cookie cutter video. There is nothing like OUR wedding video! We cannot wait to continue to watch this video over and over again and be able to share this with our future generations. Thank you etch for being such a big part of our magical day! read more

Jordan and Julie put together an absolutely amazing film for our wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the results. It was clear that every frame was thought through, and the way the music was integrated in the composition was impressive. We gave them relatively free reign to make what they thought would be the best video they could, and they did not disappoint! Could not recommend them more highly! read more

Beyond Any Expectations is the best way to describe Jordan and Julie from Etch Films. You could easily look at their work and make a smart decision, but if you are on the fence let me convince you. I like lists and who wants to read a long paragraph, so here is a list: 1. They do right what others do wrong and in a professional and friendly manner. 2. They communicate exceedingly well where you know whats happening and don't have to worry at all about them. 3. They are on time and work around any photographer - all while turning precious moments in to visual gold. 4. They have techniques you will not get with other video graphers (drone shots, timing with music, etc). 5. They ask the right questions to make sure you get exactly what you want. 6. They are timely with their product 7. The presentation of when they send you that final video will surprise you and make it that much more memorable. 8. Most of all you can tell they love their craft by the quality of their work. 9. I get tears pretty much every time I watch our movie and so does my wife. Here are just a few comments I got from friends and family on our wedding video made by Etch Films: "I just saw your wedding video. It's SO beautiful!!! I teared up a bit -- I love you guys so much. " "That was one of the best I've seen yet." "Great great video!!! I felt like I was there! Your love is beautiful!" Make this decision simple, choose Etch Films. read more

Jordan & Julie did such a fantastic job capturing our wedding day! They were fun and easy to work with without us feeling awkward about being in front of the lens. They were so prompt when first reaching out to them about their services. After that, everything was a breeze and it was easy to trust them to record our special day. The location had some challenges with a beach ceremony and a reception on a cramped deck that was accessible by either a super slow shuttle or a long flight of stairs, but there were no complaints from these two at all! They delivered our film in a cute package in the timeframe that was promised. The video was outstanding and everyone was truly impressed by the style and editing! I would hire them again if I had an occasion to! I highly recommend! These guys are great!!! read more

When I went on a search for the right videographer, I knew the type of look I wanted for our special film. I wanted something modern and fun but still sentimental. I started watching a lot of wedding videos from videographers that were recommended by other vendors and while that work was decent - all the videos seem to follow the same format and style (i.e. a lot of footage on the officiant, vows, etc etc). It just wasn't what I wanted. During my search, I came across Etch and found the wedding video of Jordan and Julie and I knew that they would get my vision. They were so easy to work with, very responsive, and it was obvious they had the talented eye to create something both on trend and classic. Not only did Jordan fly down for my wedding, but he was so fun and upbeat. When we got our wedding video back, I was so excited with the outcome. Everyone who has seen it, tells me how much they love it! The song choice, the selected clips, and the way the entire film was put together that captured all the special moments we had. The wedding video is probably one of the best well spent items from our wedding and we could not have been happier with our choice. I will definitely recommend Etch to any family and friends that are looking for a videographer!!! read more

Hiring Etch Films to record our wedding was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. Jordan and Julie were absolutely wonderful to work with! Having seen their previous work, we felt extremely comfortable giving them free artistic reign to capture our special day, and they didn't disappoint. They were enthusiastic, knew exactly when and where to be (and not to be), and we never once felt self-conscious of their presence. Their passion and dedication is not only evident in their disposition, but it shines through in their finished product. The presentation of our video was stellar - from the delivery to the packaging, even the menu on our DVD blew us away! And the video itself was nothing less than perfect. It was short and sweet, yet they provided us the entire ceremony and speeches separately from the highlight reel (which we appreciated so much because who wants to sit through a half hour of footage?). Everyone who has seen it agrees that Etch Films captured the emotion of our day in a way that was completely authentic and totally unique. Thank you Etch Films! read more

The video Jordan and Julie produced for our wedding is the reason the first thing out of my mouth when someone gets engaged is: YOU HAVE TO HIRE A VIDEOGRAPHER! They did a spectacular job capturing the entire vibe of our wedding day and putting it to music. Watching our video immediately takes us and whoever we share it with back to that day in a way that photos alone just can't compete with. Plus, you know you have a great video when your friends and family love to watch it over and over as much as you do! But apart from the outstanding final product, Jordan and Julie were so much fun while being professional, and so easy to get along with that after the experience of working with them we are proud to call them our friends. read more

We hired Etch Films to shoot our wedding in Palm Springs, CA. They were so professional and kept the mood fun and light, it helped my hubs and I feel comfortable in front of the cameras. The final video turned out so great! We watch the film all of the time and are so proud to share it with family and friends. They really captured the essence of our wedding and my husband and I's style. We took Jordan's advice on selecting music that was not considered mainstream, and glad we did. We will never get sick of the songs we picked because they are not top 40 hits that have been overplayed on the radio! read more

Etch Films did an amazing job on our wedding video. We just received it yesterday and I'm pretty sure I've watched it a solid 45 times already. They captured every important moment of our special day and made it into the most amazing short film. On the day of, my husband and I felt more then comfortable with Jordan & Julie, they put us at ease and made it really fun for us to be filmed ( which can be quite awkward in most cases). You can tell that Etch Films put a lot of thought and hard work into our video, it was totally us and our personalities showed through the film. Thank you Etch for being a part of our special day & for giving us something we will watch until we are old and grey. read more

One of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding was hiring Etch Films for the wedding video. From the first time we connected, Jordan was very professional, friendly and easy to deal with. We explained exactly what we were looking for and got just that. No hassles, no hidden fees, no drama. Jordan was a pleasure to work with the day of the wedding and open to feedback and making small changes (including certain people in the video) after we saw the first version of the film. The final result turned out beautiful. Our families and friends love it too. I highly recommend Etch Films. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Etch! I'd exhaustively researched every aspect of my wedding and relied heavily on reviews before making any selections. Yet the artistic nature of video (and photography) sometimes require following one's intuition -- Etch barely had three reviews when I found them back in 2012, but the few videos I could see at the time MORE than convinced me that I desperately wanted them to film our wedding. After doing enough searching, the formulaic nature of most other wedding videos becomes clear, but the Etch crew manage to impart an infectious fun with their editing and effects, and it looks like they are always up to trying something new to match their clients' personalities (I still follow them on social media and happily watch their new work). I second the other reviewer's comment that these are the type of videos that even friends of friends are touched by - we had the same experience. They were the right choice to showcase our slightly (un)traditional Indian wedding! read more
