So about four months ago, I cut a tree in my front yard, and called Sikes to see if they could come out and grind the stump. I had to call three times over two weeks before I got something other than their voicemail (they had never called me back either). So I now asked if they could come out to grind the stump. They sent out someone to take a look and they left an estimate. I called back to schedule a time, and they said that since it was the one stump, they would get to it when in my neighborhood doing other work. Ok. Fair enough. Three months went by, and I saw them in my neighborhood. They drove right past my house. Then a few weeks later (yesterday) I saw their sign. They did some tree work. Cut one down. At the house LITERALLY NEXT DOOR TO MINE! And for perspective? My house and my neighbor are separated by all of....15 FEET! You couldn't be anymore in "my neighborhood" unless you were in my freaking living room!!! Oh, and my stump? Untouched. So I called them. Got their voicemail (of course). I told them the above. I told them to no longer bother. And I told them that I could have a freaking tree grow through the center of my house, and I still wouldn't call them. In fact, I will tell everyone I know about their "service". And I know ALLOT of people. So if you need a tree cut, or stump ground - feel free to call Wayne's Tree Removal. That's what I did.

This is a mixed review: I hired Abortech to remove a large…read moretree (Bradford Pear) to trim 2 similar trees, and to remove the tree stump from the tree, all in the front yard. I was VERY happy with the work done by the 2 men who removed the tree, trimmed the 2 others, and CLEANED UP the yard thoroughly after their work was done -- you would never even know that extensive work was done that day. I am, however, EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the tree stump removal (IN THE FRONT YARD!!!). The stump grinding created a great big HOLE in the ground and a HUGE pile of dirt and ground tree stump right next to the hole. He told men that they "never fill in the holes", that's up to the homeowner to do! I am a woman, 77 years old, disabled, and walk, in great pain, with a cane -- and I was left with a great big hole and a huge plle of dirt TO FILL IN MYSELF !! Now I have to find someone to PAY to fill in that hole. IF I HAD KNOWN THAT ARBORTECH NEVER INTENDED TO COMPLETE THE JOB, OR THAT THIS WAS THEIR "STANDARD PRACTICE", I WOULD NOT HAVE PAID (WAAAY TOO MUCH!!!) $425 to have one small-to-medium stump ground!!!! The crew used safe, careful removal procedures that protected both my property and their workers. They were very mindful of the lawn, asked questions when anything about the job needed clarification, and cleaned up the worksite when they were done. They also used newer equipment that allowed them to cut and place sections of the trees safely with a single machine, rather than relying only on the older method of climbing, tying, cutting, and lowering pieces by hand.
