From the beginning they had one of my cars' the wrong VIN number and when they fixed it, my rate increased. That was after 6 months. Never had a good outcome from their customer service. They were always wrong. I had them for about 6 weeks and they sent me the wrong documents 5 times. I did not have one customer service "agent" helping me that I could say had the knowledge. I was an insurance broker, and those employees don't have the right qualifications. I can't imagine someone having to file a claim and having them as brokers. After more than 12 years as a customer with no accidents, I lost my job with Spirit Airlines and my insurance lapsed for over 45 days. I expected an increase. I did not expect my payment to jump from $70 something to a quote of $330 a month for ONE paid off 2015 Nissan Altima. That's $3,960 a year. Ingrid showed no willingness to budge. When I called back, the response was simply, "Well, Ingrid already sent you a quote." No meaningful explanation, no discussion of options, and no empathy. Apparently, sending a quote was where customer service began and ended. I understand that a lapse affects pricing. What I found unacceptable was the dismissive treatment when I questioned a staggering increase. Shop around before trusting this business with your money. 12 years of my experience can be summed up in one sentence: here's your quote, end of discussion.
