Extremely Disappointing Customer Service…read more As a local resident and business professional in Hallandale Beach, I make a conscious effort to support local establishments. I had passed by this business many times and finally decided to stop in when I needed a temporary parking permit. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. When I walked in, there were four people present not one acknowledged me or offered a greeting. It felt as if I were invisible. Eventually, one gentleman, seated at the front left, mumbled "may I help you" without even looking up from his computer. I explained what I was looking for, and without making eye contact, he replied that they do sell temporary parking permits, but they didn't have any at the moment. That was it -- no offer to order it, no suggestion to come back, no effort to assist or retain a new customer. I left feeling completely dismissed. Once in my car, I searched for nearby alternatives and found Auto Tags of Hallandale just one block away. There, I was warmly welcomed by Randy, who told me they also didn't have the permit on hand but could order it for same-day pickup by 4 PM. That's what professional and courteous service looks like. If you value your time, respect, and customer service, I recommend skipping this place altogether and visiting Randy at: 701 W Hallandale Beach Blvd. Suite 106 Hallandale Beach, FL 33009

Stay far away from these people!! I think you would be hard-pressed to find a more unpleasant and…read moreincompetent agency. I moved to FL from another state, so I needed to transfer my previous Allstate policy, and this was the agency in the area. When I first signed up with them, they told me multiple times that my policy was being transferred and that I would not be charged for two policies. They also told me that my premium would be lower than it had been before. What actually happened was that I started getting charged more than double the price I was paying previously, AND they were still charging me for the old policy on top of that. This isn't even the worst of it though. When I discovered this, I found a much cheaper rate with another company and called my Allstate agent to have my FL policy canceled. They refused to do so without proof of replacement insurance, and told me it was a legal requirement, which is a complete lie. Other companies do not require this. To make matters worse, they would not accept my new policy because it didn't cover my wife. I am in the process of divorcing and there was no need for her to be covered as long as the car was covered. Even after I explained the situation to them they refused to cancel my policy without proof of divorce, which I currently don't have because this process is still ongoing. None of this was necessary, and I can prove that because I ended up getting the policy canceled without having to do any of this, but the struggle and waste of time it took me to do that was truly shocking. Imagine someone telling you that they intend to force you to continue paying for a product you don't want and are not contractually obliged to keep. This is what I was told over and over again by Maritza, who claims to be the manager. Nearly everything that comes out of her mouth is rude, inconsiderate, condescending, and often untrue. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She refused. I asked to speak to the general accounting office because my phone was automatically connecting me to her every time I tried to call Allstate's general phone number. She refused. I even had my new agency send her an email explaining that the car is covered and that this is perfectly sufficient. This was also ignored. They kept repeating the same nonsense over and over again, treating me like I'm stupid, and straight up lying to me. After about a week of trying to get ahold of someone outside the agency, calling multiple departments, and wasting hours of my time, I was finally able to reach the general customer service office. I had to call the claims department, go through the phone menu of options as if I was filing a claim, get someone on the phone, and have them transfer me to customer service. Once I finally was speaking to someone outside this abomination of an agency, I simply told them I needed to cancel my policy, and in 5 minutes it was done, no questions asked. This is what should have happened from the beginning, and it was honestly what I expected would happen once I could reach someone outside the agency, but they had to make everything difficult. I don't know what Maritza and these agents are thinking, but there is absolutely no excuse for this type of treatment, and I couldn't be happier to be rid of them. Like I said, stay far away.

When it comes to insurance especially homeowners you need an agent to see nearby. When I moved east and especially my close proximity to the water I was required to get flood insurance. Luckily 15 years ago it was Allstate. They are the best. Unfortunate for me I have had to make a claim twice. Hurricane Irma was the last one. I called a couple days after the storm and they sent out an adjuster immediately. In fact he came out twice and called too. My garage was underwater twice as it is lower than the house. After this last time everything had to come out. The adjuster also pointed out that my air conditioner compressor was completely under salt water and had to be replaced as well. I would never have realized that if I hadn't called. I look forward to staying at this agency a very long time. Well as long as I live in South Florida.
