Not a good experience. Made an appointment in December for sinus and ear check but was told to have my hearing tested before seeing the doctor. Testing suggested that hearing aides were advised. Doctor checked my sinus and ears and said both were clear even though I have persistent sinus issues. Made an appointment with his audiologist for early January and was told my insurance covered some of the cost. Ordered aides. In February insurance denies coverage because pre-authorization was not done by his office. I have called 3 times to follow up asking for an update from his staff. Have not heard back. The first time I went here I didnt have any issues (2020) and the doctor I saw was kind. Today ( fall 2021) I called and was able to get a last minute appointment for 2:50pm. So naturally I put it in my calendar and started searching for a babysitter. Well a few hours later I got a confirmation appointment text stating the appointment was at 3:20pm.. well thats a 30 minute difference and since I had a sitter coming to watch my kid I needed to know the time for sure. I contacted the office through their website and was sent a text saying someone would contact me shortly. About ten minutes later I received another text saying my appointment was at 3:40pm. Ok thats a 50 minute difference.. I then tried calling the office 3 times and they did not pick up. Thinking my appointment got pushed (because that Has happened to me in the past) I showed up 30 mins early at 3:10pm. Well guess what? The lady at the front desk said "it looks like your late and I dont know that the doctor can see you today now." i said "what do you mean? I have texts showing that I got different times for the appointment AND I tried contacting you guys!" She said "yes unfortunately our system has a glitch and always sends out a later time to patients" ok so do you think Maybe that should be disclosed when making an appointment?? I said "look I got a sitter for this is there any way they can see me??" And she said " let me see if they can". Then 5 minutes later the Other secretary calls me up and reiterates what the first secretary I spoke to already said. Neither one went in the back and talked to the doctors. She says the doctor is swamped and cant see me. I said Look I have proof. I emailed you guys way ahead of time and asked about the time. She looks me up and finds my email from 1:14pm and reads it to me.. it said "I was told my appointment was at 2:50 but now I received a message that its at 3:20. Thats a bit of a time difference. I need to know since I have a babysitter coming." She said "yeah Idk why no one responded to you". I said and I tried to call 3 times. She said "yeah the phones have been busy all day". This is all a Big yikes. I was pissed. I rescheduled for the following week and then left to urgent care. After both the nurse and doctor there heard what happened at the Ent they both said that the situation was treated very wrong and they should have seen me. I agree and they weren't just being nice because they could have said "Im sorry that happened to you" . Soo people Beware if you get texted a different appt time for this office do Not trust it. Would like to specify that I have chronic ear infections with a recent ear drum burst. Was needing to be seen for partial hearing loss that had been there for 2.5 weeks and was not getting better. I had an appointment for tube's to be installed and it was a nightmare. At 11:30 I had to wait for 45 minutes to be seen as everyone was in a rush to leave for lunch. When I finally got to see him Dr Wigglehorn began by trying to talk me out of the tubes. (He's late for lunch) He was irritated by my questions and rushed through the operation. The local anesthetic did not work and he was visibly frustrated that I was in pain. I refused to let him do the other ear. Unlike most Doctors, the procedures details were not explained to me up front. He did not talk me through anything as he rushed through my procedure. He failed to give me any after care instructions or fill my RX. I tried to call them the next day and it took hours to get through. They filled my RX, but never sent me instructions. In retrospect it seems the anesthetic never had time to kick in becasue the Dr was in such a hurry. He would apply it, then immediately cause me pain by scratching my eardrum to see if it was taking effect. He was huffing and puffing making rude comments like it was my fault the anesthetic wasn't working "well it's the same one I use for everyone else". Absolutely the worst bedside manner and sloppy rush job by a medical professional that I have ever experienced. read more

Stay away from this place. I don't say that lightly. I never write reviews but in this case, I have to say something. Dr. Wiggenhorn performed a very necessary surgery on my sinuses which seemed to go well at the time. However, THAT'S WHERE THE CARE STOPPED! I repeatedly voiced my concerns that something wasn't right. My Eustachian tubes were not opening up and I continued to get sinus infections. Dr. Wiggenhorn and his associates dismissed my concerns and told me to go see a TMJ specialist! I was told to just deal with my tinnitus and my muted hearing was just incidental. What a QUACK! He didn't even want to take care of his own patient. His associate Mrs. Parks Literally told me just to keep blowing air up into my Eustachian tubes. AND his other associate Mrs. Pena quite literally told me that " Sinus infections are a part of life." After all this BS I saw a real ENT. He took one look and knew what to do. Because of Estrella ENTs terrible post surgery care, I now need another surgery to correct what they did wrong and months of mismanaging my serious ENT health care needs. read more

I took my two year old daughter there, it's strange they say they work with all kinds of patients but seemingly get frustrated with a child which I understand can be tough because kids get scared but I can't be soothing my child and be holding her down all at once. When I tried to voice my concerns in a calm way and I was very open about the fact that I have no idea how a hearing test works. The doctor looked at me like I was stupid and then started speaking to me in a very rude way. I'm a first time mom and like any parent everything I do is for my child. I want for my child to be healthy so when I'm simply looking for an explanation, all I got was someone who treated me like I was a bother. I left there in tears shaking with frustration. I waited an hour and a half in their dark and dated lobby before I was taken back to a room where I waited another 30 minutes before the Dr. decided to grace me with his presence. And when he did get there he was rude and stand offish. Saw dr wiggenhorn for my little toddlers tonsils and he was great. Im always super skeptical of new doctors especially when it comes to my kids in a new city but the reviews about Dr Wiggenhorn is right. He is fun, patient, informative and took his time with my child. I love that he wanted us to do more tests before jumping the gun for a tonsillectomy. Wait time is a bit of an annoyance but I expected it. My appt was at 11:10 and was not seen until 12. There were a ton of people being seen on a Monday. Check in was easy. The front desk staff gave me a tablet of some sort instead of paperwork to fill out. I was even able to pay via table so it made it east. The clinic was a bit small but I expected it. I was referred to Dr Wiggenhorn by my PCP. He is a fabulous doctor. He is kind and makes sure that you understand everything. My only issue is that I had a procedure done and was quoted a price for the procedure. I was told that they had verified that I had paid my deductible in full, and that I would be responsible for 10% of the bill. The procedure was done in Dec, and just this past week received a bill for nearly as much as my 10% that I paid on the day of the surgery. I found this to be dishonest and it appears as though different insurers are charged varying amounts. So, if you are going to have a procedure done, make sure that they call YOUR insurer and have them put what you will be paying in writing. read more

This is regards to billing issues. Be very careful when making an appointment with Estrella ENT because the Dr may do something that is not fully covered by your insurance. I went in for check-up for a sinus allergy and ended up paying more than my co-pay. After my initial visit, I was sent a separate bill weeks later. When I called the billing department, I was told that the Dr used endoscopy which was a special procedure that I wasn't aware. All of the charges should be communicated with patients prior to appointments so the patients doesn't get a surprise bill. read more

As a retired Army colonel suffering from a service connected hearing loss and tinnitus and not having much luck with the VA, I decided to give the public health care a shot. The day of the appt. I made sure I was early to fill out any paper work that was needed but still ended up sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. The hearing test was quick and the results were the same as the hearing test I just done with the VA but this office would not take the results of the hearing test conducted by the VA so they charged me $190.00 for the same results. I then sat in another waiting room for over an hour to see the doctor who spent less than 5 minutes to tell me there was nothing he could do for Tinnitus other then charge me another $190.00 for the doctor telling me there was nothing he could do. After receiving the bill and my insurance negotiated a finial payment of $155.02, I called the billing office and talked to a very rude person named Ms. Gonzales that told me even though the doctor has no treatment for tinnitus the bill would still stand. I asked Ms. Gonzales if the doctor has no treatment for tinnitus why did he see me when he knew I made the appt. just for the tinnitus issue? She had no answer for this so I told here not to expect payment for this treatment anytime soon. I then got on my computer to pay the $155.02 just to find that Ms. Gonzales had sent me to collections when I just received the bill the day before. I called Ms. Gonzales back and she pretended not to know who I was. I paid the bill over the phone with Ms. Gonzales but when I tried to go back into my account to verify payment she had locked me out of my account. Do not do business with this office. You are just a paycheck to these people and could not care one bit for your pain and suffering. read more

Had Endoscopic Surgery today with Dr. Jonathan Wiggenhorn. I was so scared. Most important thing to me was too be able to breathe thru my nose when I woke up. I woke up in the recovery room and I could breathe through both nostrils even with packing. I would recommend him to everyone. Sadly the kids were braver than I was. Now I know why they offer Starbucks giftcards at your first appointment of you leave a google review. Yes the staff and all was friendly, but once you get a procedure and get out of there they no longer care, my husband called for me the day after my procedure about how much pain I was in and all they told him was to have me alternate the pain meds prescribed and ibuprofen (mind you it's hard enough to swallow the liquid prescribed medication and now they want me alternating with pills). 6 days later (yesterday morning at 11:40am) I leave a message for the MA/MD line because I'm in literal tears and cannot function let alone sleep even with a sleep aid because of the excruciating pain. I never heard a word back from them and now here I am awaken by severe pain again at almost 2am writing this review. Beware- once your done there they seem to be done with you. I will likely be out of my prescribed pain medication by today and will be S.O.L. They gave me 300ml for a supposed 2 week recovery which only technically amounts to a 5 day supply if taken as directed. Had I not forced myself to alternate with ibuprofen I would have been completely out already and in I imagine more pain than I'm currently in. read more

I might not be able to describe competence, but I know it when I see it. Dr Wiggenhorn is one of the most competent physicians I have ever come across. I am very lucky to have found him and I would highly recommend him. The long story: My son had a Thyroglossal Duct Cyst, which was really infected. After delays and blunders from the family practitioner, I took him to the ER for even longer delays and more blunders. They released him from the ER, after we spent the whole day there. They said, "Go to an ENT, because we don't know what to do about this." I called many many ENTs trying to get him in. Appointments were a week out, at best. The last one I called was Estrella ENT. I told them how much pain my son was in, and they got him in right away. Dr Wiggenhorn took one look at him and said that he should be in the hospital. He drained it and sent him back to the ER. Late into the night, Dr Wiggenhorn was calling the hospital to make sure my son was getting admitted and not getting the run around again. He came in early the next morning and did a more aggressive draining and made sure that the infection was getting treated. My son was in sepsis at this point. He ended up spending over a week in the hospital, recovering. Dr Wiggenhorn went above and beyond to make sure that my son was treated properly. I'm not sure what would have happened if he did not get involved. read more

When I explained we needed to get in prior to the end of the year because we had already met our detectable they got us in with another doctor. Took off from work on the day of the appointment, showed up 10 minutes prior to my appointment time, doctor refused to see me because I should have shown up 15 minutes prior to appointment. This was my 1st visit in the office as a 2nd opinion and let me say it was a WAY BETTER experience than the 1st ENT we went to. I saw Dr. Wiggenhorn who was recommended to me by a neighbor who had 2 of her 3 kids tonsils and adenoids removed by him. The office was very clean, the front office staff was very friendly and welcoming. The MA who took us back was friendly and Dr Wiggenhorn was very personable. He didn't just address me but my 8 yr old as well. My son said he liked this Dr much more than the last one we saw. I didn't give 5 stars because I still have a few more steps prior to scheduling my child's surgery so when that all goes through I will update my review. read more

First off, Im talking for my mom who is patient. These AMAZING google and YELP reviews are BOUGHT. I was bribed with a gift card to leave a review. That to me is unethical and shameful to see all these reviews were bought with a gift card and they wouldn't be here elsewhere with the bribe. I have been to a few ENT in the area. They are all just fine. Providers see you, care for you and go on about there business. This one in particular made me wait for an hour and a half for an appointment. THAT is when you use a gift card as an apology for a long wait. Not a review. Dr was fine.
