Advanced Dermatology dermatologist office on Enterprise Road in Orange City, FL gave my contact…read morenumber to the website of its parent company, which then texted me soliciting interest in buying its products. On this website, I saw the Proscriptix Brightening pads that I have previously brought (on more than one occasion) from the dermatologist's office. So, I purchased one for MORE THAN $100!! I thought it had come from my dermatologist's office. The product arrived without liquid (dry). Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until much later because I was still using a container of the same product previously purchased at the dermatologist's office. The first time I purchased this product, I personally witnessed the esthetician (at the dermatologist's office) simply pour some solution into a container of brightening pads to activate them. Fast forward to today. I brought my online $100+ purchase of Proscriptix Brightening Pads WITHOUT whatever magic solution that activates them into the office to ask that the solution be added. However, the young male desk clerk insisted that I needed to go to the website and complete a return application. He instructed me where to go on the website to make this happen. I reluctantly did so in front of him. The website DID NOT function properly. It would NOT allow me to submit the application. The website's "chat" was equally ineffective. The clerk was unwavering in his insistence that the office could not refund products not purchased from their office. He ignored me each time I informed him that I didn't want a refund--simply the solution that activates the product. I've watched the esthetician do this myself. The entire process took her about 30 seconds. Needless to say, I was MORE THAN UNHAPPY!! The simple solution would have been to add the solution to the dry product I erroneously received then notify me about whatever their (illogical) policy is going forward. Prior to this extremely disappointing interaction, I had assumed that the online purchase originated from their establishment. After all, the office is the place with MY contact information. I didn't indicate a desire for them to contact me or sell my information to their parent company. I didn't reach out to them. THEY CONTACTED ME! I am chagrinned by the insouciance of the staff at the Advanced Dermatology office on Enterprise Road in Orange City, FL. Their inability or unwillingness (or both) to assist me makes me question the integrity of their establishment. Where is the customer service? Apparently, this is a franchise. I owned a franchise before, and I KNOW this is NOT the way you're supposed to operate. I'm now relegated to hoping that the Advanced Dermatology "website" received my application and cares whether I actually get the product I paid for or a refund of my money. I bought a Groupon for a VI peel. When I called to schedule, the person answered the phone like I…read morejust woke her up. She didn't identify the name of the salon, she just barely said "hello". That was the first red flag! Also this is NOT A MEDI-SPA so you will not receive that level of service (second red flag). The nail in the coffin was when I was told that Groupon made a mistake and it wasn't really for an VI peel at all! I was given a few very cheap replacement options: "needling" (you can buy one of those devices on Amazon for $20, check it out yourself); "dermabrasion" (one if those battery operated facial brushes you can buy anywhere), or a glycolic peel (very inexpensive option and also available on line if you want to try). The more I said I wanted the VI peel (as printed on the Groupon I was holding in my hand) the more attitude I received. I was told needling was actually an upgrade from the VI peel option and repeatedly challenged about why I didn't want needling, because she insisted it was even better than an VI peel. (What? Was she serious?!?) PLEASE google the benefits of a VI peel vs. needling if you aren't already aware. She was also pushing over the counter skin care products as if there wasn't anything better. I was talked to as if I never had a facial procedure before, when I fact I've spent literally thousands on high end peels and use prescription Retin A and the complete Obagi nuderm system; in fact, I'm pretty sure I know more about facial services than the woman who answered the phone! In short, she sounded completely unknowledgeable to the point where I didn't want her doing any sort of procedure on my face at all, especially a peel procedure. This is someone I did not want to have spreading acid on my face!! I didn't schedule anything but instead contacted Groupon and explained the salon was doing a bait and switch. Five days later Groupon refunded my money. I'm surprised the salon is still allowed to advertise on Groupon. You have been warned, do not go here! Spend whatever money you were going to spend on the do it at home devices for sale on line; that's the quality of the one time service you would probably receive here anyway and you might know more than the person at the salon, too. It was a big reminder for me to spend a little more and to always get facial procedures done in a medical setting by a true medical professional.
