This gas station is on the north side of Highway 7. I was heading eastbound, so turning right was easy. It's located just east of Highway 27. There were a couple of customers already at this gas station when I arrived. I pulled next to an available gas pump. I had to wait for an SUV to move out of the way. He was signalling a man who was standing outside the convenience store to move. Real estate and lanes are an issue. It's an older gas station. It's fairly narrow to leave this gas station, as you are squeezing past vehicles fuelling at the gas pumps facing west. I entered my phone number associated with my Journie rewards using the keypad. I then tapped my credit card to pay. Once my payment method was approved, I selected the fuel type and fuelled away. It's a clean gas station. It has a convenience store. I didn't need anything, so I fuelled and left. Although the sign said that gas was 140.3, it actually dropped a cent while I was there and I got the discount. Yay! The gas price at this gas station is cheaper than most in the area. It's awesome! I liked stopping by to take advantage of the discount. It's narrow to get in and out of this gas station. I drive a smaller car, so I was good. If you drive a larger vehicle, it will be more challenging for you to enter and exit this station. (458)

Usually lowest gas in the area besides Costco. Best priced Petro in Woodbridge for sure!read more

Tips: - Collect Petro-Points here…read more - The gas pump that I used was slow fuelling my car. When I'm in this part of Vaughan, I typically fuel at the Pioneer gas station diagonally across from this Petro-Canada gas station. Yesterday, I was travelling eastbound along Highway 7. It made sense to make a right turn into this gas station to fuel my car. It seemed popular that all cars with fuel caps on the left side of their vehicles were all facing the convenience store. I followed suit by pulling next to a gas pump that also had diesel fuel. During these times where gas prices are high, I am fortunate that I have accumulated enough Petro-Points to redeem them towards fuel savings cards. I inserted my Petro-Points card, followed by my five-cents-off-each-litre fuel savings card, and then paid with my credit card. The gas pump that I used was exceptionally slow fuelling my vehicle. It took a while to kick-start it, and then it was slow starting up. I spent longer than expected fuelling, to the point where the guy behind me waiting for diesel (I'm guessing) became impatient and left. At least I could fuel hands-free, so it wasn't as painful as it could have been. The garbage bin behind this gas pump was full. I luckily had to throw out a paper wrapper that I took off a paper straw, so that fit! I got my receipt after my car was done fuelling. I then headed into the convenience store to check it out. There was a guy restocking drinks in the fridge. There were boxes everywhere. I actually had to move a cardboard box to get to the Canada Dry zero-sugar strawberry lemonade drinks. Two of them were going for $5. I got a nice woman at the counter. It took a couple of tries to get my Petro-Points card to scan. I then tapped my credit card to pay for my drinks. Done! I thanked the woman and left with my drinks. I had one when I got home. I put them in an insulated bag and the drink that I consumed was still cold. I had a good experience. I may need to try a different gas pump to determine if the fuel flows faster or if slow is the norm here. (230)

    Husky - Snacks

Two Saturdays ago, the GTA got hit with a rainstorm. The wind gusts and rain came down in a quick…read moreten minutes or so. Afterwards, as I drove westbound across York region, there were many traffic lights out and tree branches scattered across several roads. I was travelling along highway 7. I looked at my fuel indicator. It was getting low. I was near Weston Road and remembered this Husky that I would eventually reach. I decided to fill up here. This gas fill-up was my last time using the Husky app. The company has decided to terminate the app by the end of May. I feel that it's a grave mistake. I love rolling into any Husky gas station to pull up the app, select the pump number, indicate the credit card for payment and how much my purchase limit is, and pump away. It makes fumbling for the Husky rewards card and credit card a thing of the past. During a pandemic, you avoid contact with the payment part of the gas pump. Sadly, we are going back to whipping out cards to pay at the pump. I can't wait to go back to this fun way of paying at the gas pump when it's snowy, cold, and windy. As I was filling up my car with gas, a male staffer was changing the garbage bags. He was near my car and we both said hi. He was friendly and personable. Most staff member keep to themselves. I could tell that this guy truly enjoyed his job and liked people. This gas station was clean. It was stocked with paper towel and windshield fluid. Everything worked nicely. With the app's retirement, I didn't know where my original plastic card was. I went inside the store to get another card to link it up to my account. Sadly, you need a physical card to collect points from June 2022 onwards. The convenience store is small. There was one customer in there. I stood closer to the door as I waited in line. This store has an excellent assortment of snacks despite its size. The pepperoni stick varieties were impressive. The cold beverages fridge was small, but it did have a nice selection of pop, iced coffee, and Gatorade. Once the customer was done paying for gas, I approached the staffer and asked to get a replacement card. He was great getting me a new one and gave me a small information sheet with FAQs about the app during this transition. I thanked him, and left armed with a new rewards card and information. This gas station is located on the northwest corner of highway 7 and Kipling Avenue. If you are exiting onto Kipling, you are heading southbound only, as it's a one-way street. I was continuing my drive westbound, so I exited onto highway 7. I had a positive experience here. It's likely one of my favourite gas stations in the GTA. I hope that Husky reconsiders having an app. It was great. Now, I need to reinstall it off my phone. The only good thing is that I reclaim maybe 3 MB of storage space. (187)
