I normally don't do reviews for gas stations but for this Petro Canada location, I'll make an…read moreexception. Now, I live around this area and go here frequently to fill up my gas and buy food inside, however, there are some problems that I encounter frequently and here they are: 1) The morning/evening shift management and employees are very rude and inexperienced who don't know what they are selling. If I, for example, ask one of them for a LARGE KING STUDIO cigarettes, then they SHOULD KNOW WHAT IT IS AND WHERE IT IS since their stock display IS NEATLY LABELLED AND ORGANIZED for them to read. 2) The washrooms are not maintained to which you can expect urine and paper towels on the floor when you go there during the day. 3) Some of there Ready-To-Eat sandwiches are not fresh and sometimes are expired. Now, the only reason that I will give this location a 2 star rating is because of one KIND, INTELLIGENT and ALERT employee who works over there by the name of Karamjeet. Karamjeet has been working at this location for about a couple of years now and he is very polite and friendly with all of his customers and KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING! He is also a VERY FUNNY GUY who always jokes around claiming that he owns 25 to 50% of Suncor (Petro Canada's parent company). Hey Karamjeet, CAN I HAVE THIS STORE THEN?? LOLZ. But yeah, Karamjeet makes my day (or night, since he works there for the graveyard shift) every time that I go there and you should probably come around this time to meet and buy from him. On behalf of my friends, family and co-workers, THANK YOU, KARAMJEET, for making us feel welcome as you ARE AN OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEE for this location!

When I approached the cashier, he was mopping the floor behind a locked door--hardly a priority at that hour. I knocked on the glass and buzzed once, but he didn't respond. I buzzed again, and he finally looked up, giving me a dirty look. With a hostile attitude, no smile, and zero customer service, he walked over, glaring at me as if I were trespassing on his private property. I asked for $40 worth of gas. He didn't bother asking if I had a CAA card or Air Miles, which they're supposed to do, so I told him to hold on a second. Instead of waiting, he turned around and walked all the way to the back of the store to continue mopping. I stood there, stunned, jaw dropped--what kind of customer service was this? Is this even the same Canada I used to know? Clearly not. I confronted him and asked, "Are you the owner of this gas station, or do you just work here?" He claimed to be the owner, which I highly doubt. I asked, "What kind of service is this? I'm standing outside in the cold, trying to pay for fuel, and you walk away to mop the floor at 1 AM?" His response? "Am I watching videos on my phone?" I replied, "No, genius. You're straight-up ignoring me while I'm trying to give you business. Zero professionalism. Zero manners." At that point, I decided I wasn't going to spend a dime there. I left without fueling up and will never return. Businesses with service this bad don't deserve our money. I encourage everyone to boycott places that treat customers like an inconvenience. No more profit for them--they need a reality check. Too much privilege has made them cocky.

I took the one on the far left, The gas price was cheaper than what I saw in Markham by two cents. It seemed appealing to take advantage of this cheaper price here. This gas station was clean. I managed to get rid of an empty drink cup by using the garbage receptacle nearby. I had no problem paying at the pump. I inserted my Petro Points card, followed by my 407 ETR savings card, and then my credit card. I then had the gas pumping hands-free while I used a squeegee on my car's back windshield. I didn't go into the Neighbours convenience store. I saw many folks going in, including a TTC bus driver. He had parked his bus on Bathurst Street, right behind where I was. I thought, at first, that he was a staffer at the store. The man inside Neighbours and the TTC driver were both wearing red polo shirts. The Neighbours staffer looked out the window often. It was a bit creepy after a while. Either he was bored out of his mind or was tracking everyone. It's a good gas station to fill up your car's gas tank. My back windshield looks clean! I had no problems leaving the gas station afterwards to resume my northbound trip up Bathurst. (318)
