I am writing my review because I want to warn people about this place. My daughter was getting married on February 29, 2020, and she decided to go to Essentials Medispa and Salon in Viera, FL. Met at 9:00am on February 29, 2020, with a few of us (3 Bridesmaids, 5 Flower girls, a grandmother, a step mother, the bride and myself the Mother of the bride. What does that mean? CONFUSION! One of the front desk girls put us in a locker area where there were lockers to keep our stuff SAFE, you put in your own combination and locked it with the same combination, after being there from 9:00am to 2:45pm that is when the confusion started! My locker was open because I was getting dressed, taking pictures and just trying to get to the ceremony in one piece. I went to the sitting area where I could get my shoes on and get out to take pictures, not thinking of what was happening in the dressing area. Once done with the pictures, I noticed my stuff in my locker was out and put on the ledge there in the dressing area, but my purse (clutch) was missing, I asked where is my purse????? My clutch was in a David's Bridal grey bag with my extra pair of glasses in it and a pair of extra shoes) NO ONE said anything, I went back to my locker (#23) and found my purse (clutch) in the next locker (#22) NOT the locker I had for that day (locker #23). FINALLY, we left the area (and I did not look in my purse because I trust ALL) not thinking my money was missing or I would have said something right then and there. We got to the ceremony, danced, ate, and cleaned up, and it was time for me to go to Sonny's to tip them and when I opened my purse, YOU GOT IT, MY MONEY WAS GONE!!!!!! Even my hotel room key was missing. The next day I called Emily (the english women) there at the spa and asked if anyone turned in my money, ( I wasn't sure how my money grew legs and jumped out of my clutch) but what the heck I thought maybe just maybe I might have dropped my purse and opened it on the floor and did not pick up my money or my room key. She immediately told me that they don't have thieves there, and I said I don't have thieves in my family! I asked her to look at the cameras, and she said she would have the General Manager contact me the following day as she was not going to be there for the following 2 days. (I'm still waiting for that call!) . what a SHOCK! This is NOT the first time they were to call me back. I called her again and with No LUCK! This is NO different then when they scheduled my daughter for her trial and we paid for it and it was a MESS my daughter left crying about her hair, and Emily contacted my daughter and said she would have a different person do her hair, well, it was no better then the trial. I guess if you can mess up a brides hair for a trial you can surely mess it up for her big day! I WOULD NOT recommend Essentials Medispa and Salon in Viera, FL for ANYTHING, and if you do go, leave your valuables at home or in your trunk. OH and By The Way, I am still waiting for a phone call. I really enjoyed my day before for a massage thou, but because of the way they treated me through this, I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN, and I will tell ALL in our area about this. I do have a picture of my purse with the money missing, (funny my camera took that picture at the zoo at 3:30pm on Saturday 2/29/2020). I am NOT sure how it did that, since this is the 1st time I have had an iPhone. P.S. if there was a "0" in my stars that is what I would have given for their customer service. Update 3/13/2020: I received a phone call on Monday after I posted my review, the General Manager told me she would contact me with the information I requested, but I have NOT received a phone call back or an email as promised as to date. Last night, I received an email from YELP, explaining to me that they have received a few negative emails because of my review, and I should consider taking my review down, well I WILL NOT REMOVE my review and it will stay as written. Good or Bad, reviews are our perspective on a company, and they should learn from them. I understand EVERY business strives for 5 stars but sometimes it is NOT worthy of giving 5 stars. LEARN from this and improve your services. This Salon should have looked into this IMMEDIATELY and contacted me back with the information they found out. Mine is probably the worst case out there sooo I started going to essentials in year they opened in Melbourne like 20 something yrs ago! I have had facials almost every month I've brought my boyfriend probably 100x I've marketed for them for free thru my own businesses! I have taken my employees there I've told girlfriends to book their birthday parties there I've brought endless friends. I never used 1 of my points I accumulated because they kept reassuring me they never expire I had about 20 thousand points I think they told me 800.00 in services free. Anyhow with the virus I've had more free time so I was going to start utilizing my points. When I went in last time I said I'd like to use some of my points the clueless desk staff looked at me like I had three heads! They said points we stopped them I said oh well I'd like to use mine today they said sorry you had to use them before whatever date. I said how did I know this they said oh we had signs up I said I havnt been in like 3 months they said sorry! I said no this isn't acceptable let me talk to the manager I wait for like 15 mins meanwhile another lady is complaining her person has never come back to get her for her services finally the young African American guy comes out said manager is busy she said to give you these free gifts it was the 1 ounce image samples 3 of them I said what for my 80000 points I get samples I said no way tell her to come out here! Another 15 mins later she comes out I forget her name very nice she apologizes and says what will make you happy I said hmmm well my 80k value she said sorry can't do that I said ok a new brush for my Clarisonic and today she said ok deal I said sorry you guys aren't struggling but I feel sad for myself losing all those points. She was kind and we chatted about business the virus etc and I said well thank you for taking care of me today! So I leave a week later I had a voicemail from a receptionist oh you forgot to pay for your facial can you call us I cal and asked for manager she was busy I ask for my esthetician she's busy I leave a message for her to call me no callback. Yesterday I had a call ring me 3x I was at a luncheon finally I answer it was the Sheriff office asking for me telling me they are at essentials with Emily who wants to prosecute me and press charges for not paying for my for facial! I almost fainted I was like what I told the officer my side he said I figured there was more to the story he than said only way he could back out was for me to pay her I had no choice but to pay for my deal I had made with the previous manager she didn't know she was very rude when I tried to explain to her she said there is no need for us to have a discussion if I didn't pay she was pressing charges! What I own businesses and have many mishaps and even theft in My stores I've always made sure the customer is always right regardless of what I feel is right or wrong! Do you think this Emily the new Gm even reaches out to me called me asked what happened dont you think after'20'yrs or patronizing this entity she would say wow I am glad I could offer her something. No she calls the police who does that????? the customer is always right Ms Emily and many other women also feel mistreated! If someone has been patronizing my business for 20 yrs I would never mistreat them nor call police my God Ive never Called police when I've had people on camera stealing! had been going to this Spa for over a year for getting my hair blown dry, massages, waxing and Mani/Pedi. I always brought my own shampoo/Conditioners, I have extra long hair and I made a nice deal with a Junior hair stylist to get my hair washed & blow dried. I met Tom lesser the spa manager who is the son of Dr. Michael Lesser one day. I asked him if he could get a certain color for my hair and he said he would get back to me. Then one day without a notice I go to pay for my hair wash and the front desk double my price of $ 35-40 to $80.00! I asked her if she had made a mistake and they said NO! I was shocked so I said I would only pay what I had been paying for a year, the hairdresser ran out & said she had changed prices on me and it had gone up according to the manger Tom! Then I get a call a few days later from TOM who said he refused to give me a print out from all my visits to the Spa for "Legal" reasons. He asked me not to come back there, that my hair took multiple washes & it was "Not" worth it for them to see me again! I could NOT believe how STUPID this kid was. I had been spending thousands of dollars there on treatments, had brought in my family and friends. I asked him if he had seen my roster of treatments & how much money I had spent & he said he didn't care! This kid is the biggest Idiot in my Opinion who does NOT know how to run the Spa. They burnt my leg on one occasion because instead of getting my regular girl, they brought in a new clueless girl. Then they fired the best help, a gay guy......then my massage therapist, and finally the insulting call. I do NOT recommend this place at all. The quality of the service has gone down and they charge Ritz Carlton prices! Look take the drive to the Ritz Carlton, they have specials all the time specially for FL residents and save your self an argument with that young kid Idiot Tom Lesser! His dad NEEDS to fire him and put a professional person on the staff who knows about service and costumer retention! I know go to the Ritz Carlton in Orlando and I am so MUCH more happier! I just moved here and decided I needed some TLC ( feels like moving seems to age me 10 years, lol!) I am 67 and haven't been to a salon for 10 years, so I met Rebeca. She was so nice, as she answered all my questions and calmed my fears. She recommended a few products without making me feel pressured at all. We decided on a little botox here and there to help lift the eye areas, and of course, the dreaded frown lines, lol! Rebeca does a fantastic job AND with barely any pain at all. With all of her career background and experience, I have full confidence in recommending her. The only thing I would recommend would be, bring an ice pack and don't take your daily aspirin the day of, just in case you have super sensitive skin. I personally, did not need it as the needle is so tiny. I might get daring and get a little lip filler and botox. Unfortunately my wrinkley lips are hereditary, so that will be my next " treat" for myself. I was surprised that my visit was not that expensive. read more

When I need a pickup, I call Essentials. From the Brazilian to the toenails spa treatment, it puts me in total relaxation. I always end by getting my hair done so when I leave there is little else to do but smile. I have spent the whole day with a stop for lunch that is brought to you right there in the spa eating area. Need a B-12 fix, you can do that too. I let my daughters-in-law know that an Essentials Gift Certificate is greatly appreciated for any occasion and they now know what to give me. No guessing. Relaxing in the quiet room with a cup of tea makes the wait so pleasant. Love this place. read more

I absolutely LOVE Essentials!! My boyfriend got me the Spa Escape package for my birthday and I am ready to go back again. The spa is beautiful and so relaxing. My facial and massage were incredible and the best I've ever had. The manicure and pedicure were great and I highly recommend Kathy to anyone. I even made an appointment to go back and get my hair cut there. I can't wait! The green turtle lunch was a great addition to my spa trip. The staff was so friendly and I had the best time. I recommend Essentials to anyone that needs to relax and unwind!! read more

Absolutely love this place. When I need to get away from stress or everyday life, I can just relax in my robe in the quiet room. Essentials is certainly well decorated with the theme if calmness and relaxation. Their robes are comfy and separate women's area has sauna and steam room. Chris g is my massage and facial expert! Love him! Olivia has broken my addiction to Aveda products and does a great job with hair cut and color. Staff is friendly and helpful. Love this place!!!! read more

When I walked in I was greeted by three beautiful smiling faces, they were very kind and welcoming, and enthusiastic about working. I received a wonderful facial. Services were amazing, I had a great time! Relaxation room was wonderful and relaxing. On my way out the front desk was so kind, we chatted a little bit and they asked if I'd like to rebook. Beautiful experience from beginning to end. I got an apt 15 mins ahead of time and was immediately escorted into the spa area, given a robe and then introduced to the relaxation room. I got a relaxing hydra facial done and offered a glass of wine after my session. I'm looking forward to coming back for my next facial and spending some prep time in the steam room before my session. I have had a LOT of facials in my day, but by far, I had the VERY BEST one with Desiree! My main reason for coming to Essentials is for their dermaplaning -- the facial is an added bonus. Desiree's attention to detail and laser-focused work was second to none. I have never had smoother looking skin! And oh by the way, she is so, so nice and friendly! Worth EVERY penny. I absolutely love this place. Not only do they have the best front desk customer service, but the place is immaculately clean and super relaxing. Alexia is literally magic if you need a massage. I just spent my birthday at Essentials Spa. The staff was wonderful, from my check-in, my waiting for the services in the "quiet room" and my services. Everyone was very attentive and nice. They were constantly cleaning, and I felt very comfortable being there. My massage from Chris and my pedicure from Amber were top notch. read more

Wow- This place is off the hook! It's beautiful and relaxing. My massage was very nice, then I had a facial which was one of the best I have ever had. also had a pedicure and I must say, it was also wonderful. Their Mother's Day "Wife Daycare" ad campaign is unfunny and offensive (men, drop off your women with us with your credit card so you can have SILENCE). Their response to criticism of it has been worse, including deleted criticism from their Facebook page. Ladies, this spa has no respect for you. Go somewhere else. read more

Love a spa day! I have sensitive skin so did the Pure Facial with Meghan (nothing burned) and the Ultimate Unwinder massage with Sara. I've had many massages by Sara and she is great! Both services were wonderful and so relaxing. Love the Zen room in between services. Highly recommend for a girl's day! read more
