I've known/heard about Essentia mattresses for years but only recently took the time to go see for myself when I started waking up 'more tired' and sore than when I went to sleep!! I also recently undertook a workout regiment that demands proper rest.. To my absolute delight.. I walked into the Laval, Québec location a few weeks ago and spoke with Fred, knowledgeable and non-pushy --- how I like my sales people!! (Honorable mention to Andrea, just as helpful and patient with my post-visit phone calls).. One great deal later.. (with some bonus holiday-deal add-ins to boot), brand new Essentia Mattress arrives via fed-ex directly to my home.. and I've never EVER had a better night's rest!! Bravo Essentia! Merci.. franco read more

we bought essentia stratami mattress before having regular and I am so sad that first i feel all the moves from partner's side, mattress retains heat. I am still playing with blankets as not able to figure what to use for covering, just feel that my body's heat is trapped under me. Lately when I lay down in bed I start to feel legs numbing. By the way, who is planning to buy essentia mattress, I left the review about it on website but as others less than 5 starts were deleted. So keep that in mind read more

If I were to base my review solely on my shopping experience I would have given it 5 stars. Joanne was simply wonderful. Unfortunately this review includes my experience with Essentia Customer Care or lack thereof. I first fired off an email to customer care January 11th requesting an ETA on the mattress we purchased on the 8th. My second email to Customer Care was sent out Jan 12 to request information as to why the UPS driver was not able to deliver the mattress to the inside of my garage as we were told they do, instead to find it at the foot of my driveway where you would normally leave your trash for pickup. Thankfully the scrap scavengers had not passed by the time I got home and the mattress was safe. It's now February 8th and I still have not received 1 reply to either of my emails. Not even a standard "We received your message, we will get back to you" reply. Nothing. Its like my emails fell into the VOID, a black hole of some sorts. If you want a great mattress you can't go wrong. Just don't expect ANY customer service. read more

Beware! Rudest customer service manager I have ever spoken to. We ordered a cal king mattress several months ago and realized it was too soft for me but fine for my husband. We then went into the SAnta Monica showroom and decided to exchange the cal king for two twin XL and were told it would fit our cal king bed frame. Two months later, we were contacted by the showroom representative with an email forwarded from Essential Customer Service to inform us that two twin XLs will not fit a cal king, but with additional replies from me, she confirmed it would fit an eastern king. Then she told us the order would be processed if we pay the difference plus a restocking fee, and it would be another 8-10 weeks before we received our exchanged mattress. At this Point, I became extremely frustrated with the fact that two months had gone by and our mattress wasn't even ordered. The show room representative said she had emailed the headquarters twice and phone called them with no response. This seemed extremely unprofessional to me so I asked to speak to customer service directly. That's when I spoke with Freddi in Canada who did not offer any solution or compensation. Not even an apology. He said he would not contact his store sales person to get her input and was so rude to me that I ultimately hung up. I Will now be returning the California king, i will not be exchanging it for any Essentia Mattress of any kind, and will continue to see my chiropractor until my body stops hurting. read more

I have been waiting to receive a refund since May, on one of the most expensive mattresses that they sell. The company's lack of follow up and customer service is negligent and non-existent which shows complete disrespect for their customers. read more

Essentia is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Think very hard before you give them your business. Ordered a mattress in Nov 2018. Took two months to be delivered. Mattress was hard as a board. My 20 year latex mattress, which they took away, was more comfortable. Took them more than two months to come and pick up their mattress. They flatly refused to pick up and refund the ergonomic pillows which are unusable. Six weeks have passed and I still have not received my mattress refund. At each stage of this stressful process, I received appalling customer service. Many, many phone calls and emails were not answered and, on the rare occasion when I reached a live person, they were quite rude and did not follow through. There is simply no excuse in today's marketplace to provide such poor customer service. Their money back guarantee is simply false. After six months, I am still waiting ... Please beware of this company. If you don't like the mattress you're in for a long, highly unpleasant battle. My advice - steer clear of Essentia and buy a mattress from Casper! read more

Essentia Mattresses will give you nightmares. I can't even sleep on it. Sleeping on it, I get neck/back pains and soreness/numbness. Plus we had complication with the delivery and the base came with a huge defect. Customer service is also very bad. My advice, don't choose this company at all. read more
