Gotta love Italian Olive Oil. Then some nice salami. Really good, far from being mass-produced. Then some jams and chutneys - they go very well with Italian cheese. A very nice shop. Prices might seem a bit higher. But this is not a chain shop. This one really has great, special food items not easily found at other shops. And definitely worth the money.

It was tough to find unique stores that weren't hocking the same old thing. During a visit to Lucca I was thrilled to find this shop where I met the owner/talented artist, Alessandro. No, I'm not suddenly into Harley Davidsons, skulls, daggers, grenades, or even winged hearts, what I am into is ART! Beautiful handcrafted original wearable art. Upon first look you might only see the outlaw vibe, look further and discover the hidden gems that I fell in love with. I love silver jewelry, add some ebony, a ruby, or an interesting design and I'm going to take a look. I stepped through the doors and spent the next 30 minutes oohing, aahing and chatting about Italy, Los Angeles, Portland, the world, grown up kids and creativity. I fell in love with a female face carved in ebony and set in a ring designed with silver flowing hair. I didn't even try it on because it just wouldn't look good on me but if it was a pendant hanging on a silver chain she would have been mine. Instead, I selected a simple bracelet to grace my wrist. I will always have just a tiny bit of Lucca and Alessandro with me wherever my travels take me. I highly recommend you visit too.
