The different clothes sections (Women's, Men's and Children) are separate to one another in a very deliberate way, the change rooms are managed efficiently and there is a good variety of clothes without it being too overwhelming. I found the staff to be reasonably nice, though the person at the door may not let you in if you are holding a drink. The main issue that I had with the store was that XL sized stock was either non existent or hard to find, when going through the different sizes. I am not sure whether they stock less larger sizes, or whether it was simply a popular size for men. I would definitely recommend giving H&M a visit at least once, and seeing whether it is your cup of tea.

When you are a mum on a budget, you want to be able to dress your family affordably and while H&M does that, more selection for boys is needed. Their "Cue in the City" branch I am not as much a big fan of (it's cheaper but also cheaper quality) so I prefer Cue itself. They do go through seasons of being awesome and then seasons of being crappy, but when they are on, they are on fire. And they do have sales pretty frequently, so keep your eyes open. I have purchased some truly beautiful items from here which have lasted for years so I definitely recommend. I have been in this particular store several times and the staff have always been great. Not too pushy but happy to give advice/options if asked. And willing to see if another store has the right size.

I purchased a number of items online for a trip I had in 5.5 weeks. After 2 weeks of seeing they had not yet even been sub to be shipped out, I wrote them an email. They wrote back saying they would ship my things out, but that they no longer had a number of the items in stock - and could they pick some items for me? I wish I had said no, but I agreed as long as they could get the shipment out that day. What they should have done, the professional thing to do, would have been to refund me for the items they no longer had in stock and offered to expedite my shipping. It has now been 4 weeks since I put in the order. I have not received my items. I imagine I'll receive them in a week or two, when I no longer have need of the items I ordered. The store is a cute local shop - they do not have the customer service skills to being doing retail on a global scale.

Do I talk about the collection of Zines and Mag's I have perused here on many an occasion? The range of amazing woman's clothing I have lusted over? The art events they have hosted? Or the friendly staff I've had good chats with? it is a bit more than your average retail space. I've been coming here for a while and I love their sourced and curated collection of eclectic designs from artists around the globe. Definitely worth a gander if you are valley side!

I don't think the accessories here are of really high quality, but for random day-to-day use, it is worth buying up here. As trends change fast these days, so does the merchandise in this store. This is a good thing! They don't necessarily just get rid of the older stock, it will just fizzle and then there's a sale and then... BOOM! New hot smack bang in the front and centre of the store. Luring all who dare to get tempted, through its doors. I am more than happy for this store to tempt me. They have such a great range of dress-up accessories and best of all, they are cheap. Not cheap in an nasty way, far from it. The jewellery and bags sold here are of the latest trends and fashion, just done at wonderfully welcoming prices. Easy on the wallet and easy on the eye! They have great prices and great quality stuff. Out of all the times i have been here i dont think i have ever walked out empty handed. I only just the other day walked out with a fantastac large handbag and nice rope chain bracelet and only paid $35 all up. You tell me where you can go with a great bargain like that. Not only that but the girls that work there i find always to be really friendly and welcoming and never pushy. Nice and classy. They have high quality accessories and some great brand names like Tommy Hilfiger, Ben Sherman and Levi's. I bought a really nice black collared dress shirt for my partner. The only small thing I would say is the atmosphere in store is a little like a library. Very quiet and lots of brown paper hues. This could be because I am not hugely familiar with buying men's clothes and the experience is really different to the bubbly female stores I usually frequent. On the plus side, they have a handy alteration service!

DBS is a cool shop for blokes and for girls shopping for blokes. From sports gear to business, casual and even formal wear, the big name brands are here and the prices are pretty competitive. DBS even has formal hire, which I haven't used, but I have bought presents for the partner and father here, from belts to golf shirts and board shorts, and the staff are really helpful.

You pretty much have your pick of styles here; if you need festival fashions, just ask to see their playsuits and shorts; if you want a cute weekend outfit, take your pick of the patterned dresses. Or go more casual and choose a cami with one of their remarkable jewellery pieces. Side Street is another great stop on a Paddington shopping day.

This store is fairly and has probably only been at West Lakes for a few years. The store is really clean and has super friendly staff members who are always happy to help you with whatever you need. My exercise is all done walking around shopping centres in wedges). Chic a Booti is not a fancy dress store, per se, but after my success there, I can now recommend it as one. It's in the same vein as fast fashion stores like Tempt, Ice and SES...but it is, dare I say it, even lower- end. (Most of the clothes there seemed to be on sale for $9.99 or under) Don't for one minute assume that's a bad thing though. After all, I found exactly what I was looking for here didn't I? After 10 minutes, I left happily clutching a white cotton leotard (for a mere $7.99), with a little blue crop top that tied under the bust ($9.99). The only thing missing was the white headband, but I'm sure I'd have found it if I'd kept rifling the racks. I also picked up an 80s Madonna-style corset top for $9.99 too, just in case I changed my mind on the night and decided to go as Her Madgesty instead. (I always like to have a backup look for every social occasion). I'm not sure my thighs would have done Ms Newton John proud on the night (they're, shall we say, a little larger than hers were) but my look was a triumph on the night. And all for under $20! The one great thing about Chic-a-booti is that it is cheap, and I do not mean Sportsgirl or Dotti cheap, I mean '$5-for-a-tshirt' cheap. You will find some of the most horrendous tacky items of clothing here but amongst this junk are some great seasonal fashion pieces. This store is huge so you will surely find something in here that you will like. The store sells the type of clothes you know will not last long but because they are so cheap, you just do not care. I remember seeing my sister come home with a dress from Mombasa that she paid $60 for thinking she got a good deal only to end up being disappointed when she noticed exact same design at Chic-a-Booti for only $20! I honestly do not know how they do it, but they have some of the best prices in the city. Chic-a-booti really is a great store for any fashion conscious girls on a tight budget. Whenever I feel like following a trend but do not wish to fork out on something I know I will not want to wear in 6 months time, I love coming here to see what they have on offer.
