I was in earlier today to pick up a replacement filter for my bialetti and interacted with 1 employee. i'm not sure if this person is the store owner or a manager of some kind, but they may have been the rudest retail employee i've ever met. i try to buy local whenever possible. avoiding the use of amazon helps local businesses and reduces the waste from packages. but from the moment i stepped into the store i was met with coldness and an attitude i found off putting. i don't expect special treatment or even a "hi" if someone is busy, but this particular employee, who i believe is the owner, made me feel unwelcome and unwanted-- he didn't offer any help, advice, or insight, and held a bitter attitude the entire time. my family and i were the only people in the store about a half hour before closing-- now i understand why the store wasn't busy. their prices are nothing special-- very comparable to other local stores (and amazon). there are minimal products with really random things in excess. better coffee, products, and customer service can be found elsewhere. i will not be back. read more

Helped me find the issue and repair my superautomatic espresso machine. The person who helped me was clearly passionate about these machines and their maintenance. Though he felt my machine was maybe not worth repairing due to its age, he still helped me figure out a solution. I also bought some supplies at the store which had alternative brands and prices to that of the machine's manufacturer, which were much better. If I need to buy a new machine or repair this one again, I would definitely go back. read more

Just DO! Ignore the 2017 one star review from California. I have been using EME for years. Very happy. A great selection of new espresso machines (free samples!), great used options (have bought 2 and they are perfect), knowledgeable repairs (used them twice in 5 years, FANTASTIC espresso beans (custom roasted, good price, fresh, loyalty discounts). The machine I was about to purchase was carefully inspected again before purchase and the owner wasn't completely happy with what he saw and advised against the purchase . Very knowledgeable folks about these wonderful machines! They also have awesome cup and saucer packages but they are a bit pricey. Their coffee is the best and roasted locally to ensure no undesirables get in the beans that could mess up your grinder. read more

I purchased a refurbished saeco from Luciano. I loved the machine and its functions but the coffee wasn't quite right. After calling Luciano back, he gave us a few suggestions to try - sadly the machine just wasn't performing and tasting the way we hoped it would have (no fault of Luciano's). Sadly we had to return our machine. Luciano was very helpful and gracious even during the return process. From beginning to end the entire process was very easy and seemless. If more businesses operated and treated their customers like Luciano, there would be no unhappy customers around. I'm really bummed it didn't work out - but glad I came across Luciano and his company - I would recommend in a heart beat! read more

Just don't. One inverted star. The owner is a control freak. Takes days to get back to you. Causes delays with the purchase as if everything is a huge problem. I simply wanted to use two different credit cards to process my transaction. God only knows how poorly he would handle a warranty, but the maximum 6 month warranty that he offers is a great indication about how much insurance or care he is willing to offer. I am 100 percent positive he will not stand by his work because he isn't honest. I caught him in a blatant lie and he, instead of owning it and apologizing, simply bid me good day. The business rarely picks up the phone. My transaction went through just fine BUT the owner cancelled it because he said I used a gift card. That was a lie. I didn't. He claimed I triggered some fictitious online alert with my gift card, but I didn't use a gift card and my bank verified that the transaction went through just fine. At first, I thought it was my bank's fault not approving a large amount, but nope. It was this passive aggressive controlling dude who wanted me to wait a day so he could determine whether or not he would let me use two forms of payment! Well, I already solved that problem. There WAS no problem. I simply wanted the coffee machine in time for my birthday. Now the funds will be on hold for several days. I called Saeco and they told me I could have used however many forms of payment I wanted and that I did nothing wrong. Luciano had me read him my cc numbers, date and secret code over the phone and he wanted me to wait a day??? Shady. If anyone was nervous it was ME! Very very unprofessional. Found the same deal for hundreds less at a place that Saeco highly recommended instead. read more

I give this company 1 star because at least I received my machine. The machine started breaking down one function at a time. I was slightly past their 30 day return policy, due to both parents being in the hospital, and all they said was you have the warranty. This is despite multiple functions not working within a couple of weeks. I simply didn't want to deal with the company and they proved me right when I did contact them. Since then my experience with DeLonghi has been awful. Almost a year later and I still have a broken machine sitting on my counter. read more

When my wife and I first went to Italy 10 years ago, my taste for American drip and French Press coffee was destroyed. There is nothing finer than the Italian espresso, and we cannot buy our caffe from anyone else than Espresso Machine Experts. We have also purchased several Espresso Expert machines (and a grinder) and they all are of top shelf quality, easily producing that taste I fell in love with all those years ago. The shop is a gem in Shelby Township; when you walk in you are hit with that feeling that you are back home in Italy. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I purchased a refurbished Saeco Exprelia EVO from these fine folks. I didn't know Luciano was the owner when he tirelessly answered 4 hours of questions. I'd shopped on Amazon for months and got spooked by all the horrible reviews of every machine. The other review of Espresso Machine Experts missed it badly, this is a fine business with awesome people. I figured that if infant mortality on new machines on Amazon was high for every model, a refurbished unit would save me $1000, get me a far nicer model, and guarantee that my first espresso unit was flawless. I bought it as my family was driving to Colorado for an RV vacation in Ouray. Luciano's team shipped it to meet us at an RV park - and included an ample supply of beans for our vacation. I picked this model because it is one of the very few fully automatic machines that makes hot lattes (rather than lukewarm). Turns out my reviews and reading missed some very important features Luciano steered me toward: 1. The milk carafes are self cleaning on this model, 2. We bought 2 carafes to separate milk from almond milk for two family members with dairy allergies- and this machine has zero shared parts to cross contaminate dairy with almond milk. It is also the only one button superautomatic that also has a panorello wand to support latte art. We made embarrassing quantities of lattes and cappuccinos with this machine. We even made lattes for our friends and random strangers in Ouray every morning. One neighbor said she liked her Starbucks lattes steamed with half and half - which was as flawless to make as was almond milk or regular dairy. It is easy to use, and since it was pre-configured when they shipped it refurbished- we didn't have to tweak anything to get perfect lattes and cappuccinos (a common complaint on new Amazon units). This is the perfect way to burn a few American Express reward points and get a meticulously refurbished unit that will work better than a new one while saving a fortune compared to new. I live in Dallas but bought from these guys primarily because of their service reputation and their awesome customer support. If my unit ever needs repair, these guys have a better repair reputation than any of the YouTube star advisor vendors out of Seattle - or any of my options in Dallas. Highly recommended vendor and unit. It made our vacation special and now lives in our kitchen after a month of hard use. Flawless. read more
