I've been feeling under the weather since this past weekend, and with finals rolling around, I'm starting to get a bit nervous. I've been in bed the whole weekend with my laptop with the intention to study, but haven't been able to due to a massive headache combined with every symptom possible (except for a fever, thank God). Today I decided I had to get some revision done, so I snuck outside for my usual flat white at Espresso Engine.
Located in the alleyway of Turbot Street in the Santos building, Espresso Engine is a busy little cafe typically packed with customers during the week. It's a low-key hub with outdoor and indoor seating bustling with businessmen/women alike, serving up coffees, as well as pastries and savory foods. My flat white (latte) was nice and strong and aromatic, just what I was looking for today. It did taste a bit burnt, but was essentially a nice dark roast that suited my coffee mood perfectly. read more
