Shane was referred to me from my realtor. He came out and provided an estimate for the work that needed to be done and I agreed that his estimate was worth the work involved. when it came time for the work to be done, two of the three ceiling fans that I purchased did not work according to Shane, I then contacted the sellers was able to obtain a replacement for one and parts for the second one which would take over 12 weeks to arrive Shane then charged me an additional $150 to come back and address those issues along with finishing the items from the original quote which he claims were included. The screen door that he replaced, the screening is not tight and I'm also unable to lock the screen door as previously could. One of the two fans that didn't work actually had no problem at all. He read the directions incorrectly and the fan worked the entire time but he just wasn't 100% sure. he did however, offer $75 off that fan and since I had flooring put in, I asked him to go ahead and reseat the toilet that the flooring company would not do. That became a whole issue as he was unable to reseat it properly and claimed it was the flooring company or some other issue. The toilet was perfectly seated and fine prior and I was present for the removal, which was quite normal with no additional issues. I quite honestly feel that this man who is extremely nice, just does not have the professional capabilities to provide the services that he claims he is able to do . I I ended up actually fixing quite a few things that he had done incorrectly. My lesson in this, I actually can do quite a few things and I don't need to pay anybody for it. Lesson learned and buyer beware!

I had a wonderful experience with Don at Skillman construction and would like to express my…read moreappreciation on Yelp. Here is an honest critique of my project and overall experience: 1. I called to get an estimate from Skillman and the lady there at the office actually answered the phone. I didn't have to leave a voice message, nor did I have to hope they would call me back. Very refreshing. 2. Don was my point of contact for my grading, mobile home pad, parking pad and gravel/rock driveway. His communication with me over the last 1-2 weeks has been exceptional, as good as it gets. He has been in constant communication with me and has sent me pictures, sometimes multiple times in one day and I really really appreciated that. 3. For all the heavy machinery that has been at my property this past week, I feel the pricing was very fair. Although the price did change a bit, it was because of extra material, and I never felt like I was trying to be taken advantage of. 4. They were so so quick at getting the project done for me. From the time I gave Don the go ahead, he was out at my property the VERY NEXT DAY marking my driveway and pads with flags. And then the next day, they were already cutting the pad and pouring screening. Unbelievable. 5. They went above and beyond. I asked Don if they could install a culvert for me and fill in the ditch at the road. Instead of doing it himself and charging me money to do it, he contacted the county for me and had them do the culvert for me within 48 hours after expressing my desire to have that done. And on top of that, he didn't charge me for that service. This shows they really have integrity. All in all, Don at Skillman Construction has earned my trust and my business. It was nice to have such confidence in Don and knowing that my project was in good hands. I will be using this company for other projects coming up at my property and would highly and confidently recommend them to anyone needing any type of construction work done. Thanks again Skillman and thank you Don for the job well done!!!

I highly recommend Thomas Transfer & Storage. Their consistent communication, rapid coordination…read moreskills, and compassion for their customers are the reasons I hope to work with them again for my move out of Kansas. Dianna from the Thomas operations team is the primary reason my household goods movement finished close to my contracted delivery date. She exceeded expectations by directly coordinating with my hauler and promptly communicating updates to me, whereas my transportation service provider failed to do so. Without her proactivity, my goods would have likely arrived two to three weeks later than when they were delivered. The movers she hired were courteous and careful throughout their delivery, given the severely damaged status of my shipment. Overall, Thomas Transfer's performance was the only positive experience we had throughout our move into Kansas.

We had great service from everyone involved - from Jarid, who visited the condo and provided an estimate, to the office staff, to Russell and Logan, who loaded everything and moved it to Wichita. In the process of working with them, we came to the realization that they were the company that had moved some of her belongings from Emporia to Wichita a couple of years ago. She had commented after the first move that the movers had taken great care of her. So, this kind of counts as two positive reviews. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Thomas Transfer & Storage again if we need moving services. I highly recommend them!
