I had a wonderful experience with Don at Skillman construction and would like to express my appreciation on Yelp. Here is an honest critique of my project and overall experience: 1. I called to get an estimate from Skillman and the lady there at the office actually answered the phone. I didn't have to leave a voice message, nor did I have to hope they would call me back. Very refreshing. 2. Don was my point of contact for my grading, mobile home pad, parking pad and gravel/rock driveway. His communication with me over the last 1-2 weeks has been exceptional, as good as it gets. He has been in constant communication with me and has sent me pictures, sometimes multiple times in one day and I really really appreciated that. 3. For all the heavy machinery that has been at my property this past week, I feel the pricing was very fair. Although the price did change a bit, it was because of extra material, and I never felt like I was trying to be taken advantage of. 4. They were so so quick at getting the project done for me. From the time I gave Don the go ahead, he was out at my property the VERY NEXT DAY marking my driveway and pads with flags. And then the next day, they were already cutting the pad and pouring screening. Unbelievable. 5. They went above and beyond. I asked Don if they could install a culvert for me and fill in the ditch at the road. Instead of doing it himself and charging me money to do it, he contacted the county for me and had them do the culvert for me within 48 hours after expressing my desire to have that done. And on top of that, he didn't charge me for that service. This shows they really have integrity. All in all, Don at Skillman Construction has earned my trust and my business. It was nice to have such confidence in Don and knowing that my project was in good hands. I will be using this company for other projects coming up at my property and would highly and confidently recommend them to anyone needing any type of construction work done.
