It's a smaller shop with a friendly, personal atmosphere, and nobody pressured me while I looked around. They had more on the walls than I expected, too: everything from affordable guns around $350 to some seriously nice high-end options. I'd visited a few shops around Raleigh, and this was the first one where I liked both the selection and the people enough to buy. Kurht was there, and you could tell he cared about the customers. While I was looking around, I watched someone buy his first gun. Kurht took the time with him, and it was cool to be there for that moment. We all remember our first one. Then I spotted a Geissele Super Duty in exactly the color and setup I wanted, so I ended up taking it home. I also bought a scope, which he mounted and zeroed at 200 yards for me. The whole experience of an out of state sale was fast, easy and enjoyable. I'd recommend Tar River Arms wholeheartedly. If I lived nearby, I'd be a regular. Even from Florida, I'd be happy to order through them and have a gun shipped to my local FFL. Thanks, Kurht, for a great experience.

The store is well stocked with all types of firearms. Handguns, rifles and shotguns are there for your purchasing pleasure. Synopsis - What an amazing range with superb staff and plenty of fun to be had…read more My boys took me to OnPoint for a bachelor's day prior to my wedding. They reserved a private portion of the range for us that had four booths and our own range safety officer. Will (our RSO) was absolutely fantastic. He was personable, fun, and a blast to be around. We had the range for two hours during which we rented out a couple fun guns to shoot along with the ones we brought. The range had plenty to offer with drills and scenarios, and to be honest, it could not have been better if we tried. I cannot recommend OnPoint enough for your range or party needs. Definitely give this place a chance! 5 Shootin' Stars out of 5!
