Excellent group of folks, very inviting and are there if you have any questions or concerns. Would absolutely recommend them for all your gun needs. read more

Very rude employees. Closed on mondays even though it is not stated. Waste of gas. Good selection of weapons and stuff I guess

During this time of Covid this shop has remained open and has made masks and sanitizer a part of business. When you enter they tell you to use the sanitizer by the door. The store is well stocked with all types of firearms. Handguns, rifles and shotguns are there for your purchasing pleasure. The staff is happy to answer any questions that you may have about any of the guns that they have in stock. They have managed to keep a decent supply of ammo as well during the pandemic shortages. I will not get into specifics of what is available as it is constantly changing. Prices are competitive to other shops in the area and also compared to online. Friendly and plenty of parking. read more

Perry's Gun Shop - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Wendell, North Carolina

Started shopping a Daniel Defense ISR Bronze January 2024. Got a price from my go to dealer Kentucky Gun Co ( free shipping, No taxes) Called Perry's to see if they still had a ATF KIOSK...Hanna told me yes...told her what I was looking to buy and Kentucky Gun price $2,917.00 She quoted me $500 more for weapon and tax and $50 FFL transfer fee if bought from another dealer. Weapon shipped to Perry's 25 January 2024...I paid my $205 tax stamp and Perry's did my paperwork Called Perry's 24 April 2024 to see why my approval was taking to long (service connected vet,2 Bronze star prints on file since 1979,listed as a gun collector with ATF) Was told by Hanna there had been a OVERSIGHT AND MY ATF/FBI PAPERWORK HAD NOT BEEN SUMMITED. I asked will you wave the $50 transfer fee being you messed me up for 90+ days...? I was told NO BEING I DIDNT BUY THE WEAPON FROM THEM...I said you were $500 too high! 24 August 2024 I get a call from Paul saying my approval was in...Paul seems to be the only one there that knows anything. I had never paid over $20 bucks for a ffl transfer.. They gave me a bill of $85.80 for a single weapon transfer. (See Receipt) I suggest buy your weapon from Kentucky Gun and ship it to Joyners funeral FFL dealer in Wilson $20.If you are down east buy from Kentucky Gun ( free shipping no tax) and ship it to J&W pawn main street Washington NC. $16.00 FFL transfer. These guys are great! read more

Perry's Gun Shop - FFL TRANSFER FEE for one 300 blackout AR frame - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Wendell, North Carolina

Went to the store at 3pm today. Browsed for a few minutes found an AR15 I wanted for 1k dollars. Informed the female clerk who then stated that they don't sell firearms past 3pm. Owner needs to just close at 3 if they aren't going to be making any sales. Especially because I was planning on spending 1k on the gun and 2-300 on accessories. This is why big box sporting good stores win. Won't be returning. read more

First impression of walking in in the store it's really stocked up but their customer service sucks ass. I waited in the counter for 15 minutes then I asked for help. They told me they were too busy. read more

Staff acts like they are doing you a favor by selling you something. Almost feels like hostile attitudes. Another review said it feels like they act like you are bothering them. I do not recommend going here. You can't get follow up assistance either. read more

Purchase Date: 2022.05.26 I'd give these guys 6 stars if I could. Purchased a G26 G3 on Gun Broker from Perry's Gun Shop Inc. It took a week to recieve the handgun. This was due to me providing a copy of my holders FFL & a Holiday weekend. They shipped UPS 2nd day air from NC & I had it in SD 2 days later. The handgun was exactly as described. The process was easy & they communicated well. During the course of this purchase I sent 3 emails & they were all answered within 30 min of sending them. At least one inquiry was after business hours. In conclusion, I was impressed by their level of customer service! Should my cravings overwelm me & they always do... I would buy from these guys again in a NY second. read more

Perry's Gun Shop - Glock 26 Gen 3 Stamped "Austria" - Guns & Ammo Near Me - Wendell, North Carolina

Great service that is knowledgeable. Really good selection of items. When they did not have a particular item That I needed, they looked it up online for me and then they helped me be able to order it from my home/phone. I will return again, and again. read more

First time at Perrys and it was great they let you look around but are there if you need help. They had all the stuff i needed that I thought i would have to order online. I will be going back to get more stuff soon. read more

Terrible customer service. Stuck up attitudes. I was bothering them when i asked to see a firearm while they were having personal discussions behind the counter. M.S.D.S attitudes. read more

I have enjoyed going to Perry's for over 20 years. The people are friendly and always very helpful with any questions. Always appreciate a business who seem to appreciate your business. read more

Great local gun shop and large selection of ammo and firearms. Don't forget to check out the safes in the back room. I'd highly recommend them for all your 2A needs. Also love the location and downtown Wendell for restaurants, ice cream shops and etc. read more

Perry's has a good selection of guns, ammo, and accessories, but every single time I go there the staff completely ignores me. I'm not a "regular" at Perry's, and I think they must have a lot of regulars who get all of the attention. I've been to Perry's 6 or 8 times in the last 10 years. I usually shop their online inventory and go to the store knowing exactly which gun I'm going to buy. I just walk in, buy it, and leave. I've bought three guns there, but the last time I walked out without a gun because I couldn't get anyone to help me. FOUR of their employees were helping one customer, but not one of them would step away from that customer to help me. I spent almost 15 minutes standing in one spot in front of the display case where the handgun I wanted was located. Then I just walked out. I ended up buying the same handgun online and having it shipped to a local gun shop that's a little closer to me. The price with shipping and the dealer fee was about the same as Perry's, but I had to wait a few days. One time when I was there I ended up talking to the owner for about 10 minutes. This was around the beginning of the Covid pandemic. He seemed like a really nice guy, and he was the only person who ever paid any attention to me. He told me that they sold more guns online than they do in the store. Maybe that's why his staff doesn't seem to care about customer service. Anyway, I'd prefer to support a local gun store rather than buying online, but it's not going to be Perry's. read more

Rude staff, and over priced. If you point out that their prices are higher than the competition, they tell you they don't care and try to justify it. Buy a silencer and you get the run around because they don't want to do the paperwork. One Ruger i purchased here is defective and I have to send back to Ruger. Take your business elsewhere that appreciates a buyer. I've dropped about $5k in the last 2 months on guns from various sellers and I promise not one dollar will be spent here ever again. read more

I just moved to Wendell last year and have been to Perry's many times since then. I love that the staff allows me to browse without being badgered unlike many other gun shops. Their prices of firearms seem to be right on par with about everywhere else that I've been. People need to understand ammo will always be more expensive in person rather than online, it's up to us to support these small businesses rather than buying from the huge online retailers when we can afford to. The staff has been friendly especially the young women who work the checkout counter. Andre has taken time out of his day twice to help me with things that he could've easily charged me for but didn't, then refused to take money from me when I offered. I'm super happy to now live near a small town feeling gun shop that I can support. read more

I made an online order and paid. I never received my order, reached out to contact them, they were very rude and they blocked my account and email. Very poor service will never order from them again. If I could give 0 stars I would. read more

Perry's is a family owned business and that is exactly how they act. They treat you like family. Very knowledgeable and friendly. A personal handshake from the owner (Barry) to all customers whenever he is in the building. read more

I have been to this place several times, and each time I go in the more and more I feel uncomfortable and unwelcome regardless of past purchases. I have heard this before from others but now having to agree even these people are just outright mean. read more

I recently visited Perry's gun shop to purchase two Henry rifles and a case of ammunition. The salesman found the rifles and we stood in line for 20 minutes or so because they were having a sale. It finally became our turn for background checks and the purchase to be made. The owner's exclaimed that we would have to purchase the rifles before the background check (which is illegal) and possibly wait a week, at that time they could just mail the guns...When I had a problem with that the owners then got frustrated, and went on to say "how do we know you didn't just beat your wife.." I have no idea where that came from or why they got so upset because I wouldn't purchase the gun before the background check. The owner is VERY arrogant. I then left and found the rifles I was looking for at SpringHill outfitters. Made my purchase after the background check and left in less than 20 minutes. I highly recommend SpringHill outfitters. Very kind and polite and I actually got the guns new in the box, where Perry's only had display models that everyone had played with. read more

Best Gun Shop in Wake County AAA+++. Friendly emploYees. If I need anything I go to Perry's

Great selection. A lot of things unorganized. Asked a guy if they had a certain item and he basically just said nah check the manufacturers online store. Drove 30 min out of my way. No one ever asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I'd go here if it was a quick trip nothing more. read more

I walked in the store and was not greeted by any of 8 people I saw working, 40 minutes later someone finally asked if I needed help. Workers did not wanna be there and were complaining. All of the workers were cursing up a storm to each other too. Ammo and guns are all extremely high priced and have really set the bar with price gouging for example 50rds of 357 sig FMJ was 79.99. If you aren't in the good old boys club or have a southern accent then don't shop here either because they won't help you one bit. read more

I bought a safe 3 months ago. Haven't heard a word. Called yesterday to get an update. They tried to track it down. Long story short. It's lost, don't know where it is. So they have a floor model, different color, less fire rating than the one I bought. Ok, we'll send me that one. Ok guy supposed to call today to set up delivery.....NO WORD FROM HIM IN 24 hours. So I call the manager working the store. Told him the details and just want a refund and I was done with PERRYS GUN SHOP. Thier attitudes suck, prices are high, and don't care about customers. read more

Well stocked, but way overpriced for everything under their roof. The older man with the tactical shirt on was exceptionally rude and would not let me speak. Buddy, you didn't realize it yesterday, but you were visited by someone with an extensive background in ordnance and would have done business with you. I promise you'll never have to be inconvenienced by my presence again. read more

Haven't set foot in another gun store in years. This one tics all the boxes; selection, reasonable prices, helpful, knowledgeable staff.

Prices to high $80.00 for box of 22 lr. $99.99 for 9mm come on Perry's. You are not the only ones with ammo just got same brick of 9mm for $60 and $35 for 500 22lr. Will not return for ammo read more

Great selection, good prices, and a helpful staff! Everything from safes to targets are sold here. If they don't have a gun or item in store, it's really easy to order them off their website. I would say it's probably the fastest and smoothest place to buy a firearm, and definitely the best place in the triangle. I'll keep going here as long as I live in NC. You won't be disappointed coming to Perry's! read more

They have lost me as a customer. I have purchased several guns here. I have been doing reloading and not only have they nearly doubled the price on powder and primers, they will not sell you primers unless you buy 5 lbs of powder that is well over priced. I recommend people look for other options as this greedy business plan is not how you should treat customers. read more

Made a purchase from Perry's on Gunbroker. Called the shop first and asked a few questions. Their staff, a lady I talked to, was patient & very helpful. Transaction was seamless. I'd definitely shop at Perry's again. Outstanding service! read more

I like Perry's and do not have any personal expectations as to the folks that work there except to say that they know people have questions, but actually intelligent questions get great answers. It used to be a Hardware Store back in the day and I was fairly excited when they converted to an Outdoor Sports and Shooting Sports store. They almost always have what I am looking for, or what I want to lay my hands on in the way of ammo, so I really have no complaints. So I am not looking for an experience, I am looking for the goods. I think that may be what's different based on some of the comments made before mine. I just like to walk in, get what I came for and walk away with the reason for the visit and that is why I shop there versus say Cabela's. Don't get me wrong, I walk through to see if they have other stuff, but always walk through the shooting sections to see what's there. I get three to four people asking me if I have questions so I play deaf. If I have a question, I will ask a question and extract the useful stuff discarding the rest for another day. Stop asking what's in the salt. read more

Bought a gun from there. It was pleasant transaction. Tried to buy again, one of the owners, Hanna became quite nasty. I will never buy from them again. read more

Horrible Horrible Horrible Purchased a revolver on Gunsamerica and called to complete the transaction. I spoke with the gentleman who answered the phone and he passed me off to a lady who he said handles these transactions. I started to give her my billing information and credit card number and she said, in a rather shill voice "WE don't sell to people from California" and hung up on me. Not the only gun store in the world, so I took my $800 in business elsewhere. read more

Poor customer service. Multiple people "working" aka sitting around talking to each other yet can't get up to ask if you need help. Unorganized and cheaply made merchandise. read more

Man when I tell you the customer service here is the worst that I have ever delt with in my life... The attitudes of some not all of the employees ruined the experience of purchasing my first AR for me. If you ask more than one or two questions they get aggravated quickly. Me spending $1,000 with no questions asked about what I'm getting is unlikely. Bad attitudes are a pet peeve of mine because I talk and treat everyone with the up most respect. I WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER FIREARM OR ANYTHING FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!! read more

I went into Perrys Gun Shop to buy a .380 and some ammo. I get the gun I want and the salesman ask if I want any ammo. HE not me goes over to the ammo picks up a box and puts on counter. Get home it is the wrong ammo. Called the store and they said basically it was my problem $40 wasted. Well to continue this review I took the wife and the .380 to a GUN SAFETY COURSE where the instructor had been trained extensively. As we were loading our guns to shoot for the first time we noticed the slide even when in locked position would slide forward when putting in mag. The instructor says it is a malfunctioning gun. Take the gun back and 1 employee says it is a malfunction. Another says it is supposed to happen and the older gentlemen offers a bs offer then belittles my instructor and says they know how to shoot not about guns. Well excuse me didn't know Perry's was the end all say all in guns. Over priced, extremely rude staff and overall just bad customer service. Don't shop here. read more
