The whole experience was awful. The room was bad. Service was bad. Just all around awful. Please save your money. Don't go here

Room not set up correctly. These things cost close to 300$ to rent out and a lot of stuff is broken. Asia was misleading with hints and often used profanity. Still had fun though. Just better options in the area for sure. read more

Terrible experience. The game master was miserable and wasn't friendly AT ALL! The rules that are online DO NOT MATCH THE RULES VIDEO THAT IS SHOWN TO YOU ONCE YOU ARRIVE. The website says for more difficult rooms you get more clues, the video says you get unlimited, then the game master tells you 4 clues are given. I mentioned the difference in the info from the website, to the video, and her, her response was "that video is old, and I don't know what the website says." She starts reading the game info before even entering the room, and she's reading it off of her phone with voice volume on 1. While in the game, SEVERAL TIMES, we asked for a clue, we were told to "hold on" and always were given 2 clues that wasn't even for our room "omg ignore that, that wasn't for your room, my bad." This place should just shut down. We did not succeed in the room due to the laser light not working properly, so we couldn't move on. When I explained this to her, she just said "you could have asked me, and I would have just given you that part. I tried calling customer service, which they don't have, they said that I would just need to leave a review. DO NOT EXPECT A GOOD CHALLENGE NOR A GOOD TIME! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. read more

Make sure you call and ask if their AC is working before you go. My friends and I spent almost $300 and drove an hour to come to Big Escape Rooms. Traffic was bad and we were going to end up being about 20 minutes late . We called the establishment to let them know and we were informed that the policy was that you couldn't be more than 15 minutes late or would have to pay a fee. Though it was frustrating we understood it was the policy and paid the extra $30 fee and also ended up having to move our time to an hour and a half later, again I understood . We finally get there and we're not told until AFTER we were already in the escape room that the A/C was out . Something that they should've let us know on the phone. And keep in mind the games are non refundable. It got so hot that multiple members of my team had to step out of the room multiple times and they wouldn't even stop the time. It's was so hard to concentrate and by the end of it we were pouring sweat and not offered water until we were leaving . It was not a good experience at all . At the end of the games they ask you to leave feedback so I did and the next day someone contacted me offering a partial refund as well as a free game . I did not ask for the refund or free game , but did accept it when offered. The past almost 2 months I have been going in circles with them. Eventually coming to the point of being ignored multiple times and lied to so that's why I decided to post this review. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional. read more

This is the new escape room place in town. It's called big escape rooms. I couldn't find them on Yelp yet but we took a gamble as the Atlanta location had good reviews. We did outbreak and it was by far one of the more challenging rooms we have ever done. The place is very clean, staff was incredibly friendly, and we had a blast. The only note I would make anyone aware of is the GPS took us to the front of the building where you will find a closed oyster house. We had to call and found out there was a parking lot in the back and the entrance was there as well. Other than that we had a lot of fun and will be back. read more

I booked a room for me and 4 other friends. When we arrived the AC was out in their building, which I understand is not their fault, it was way too hot in the building to participate in the escape room so we asked the worker if we could cancel. She was very sweet and assured us we could cancel and receive a full refund with no cancelation fees since it was a problem on their end (we even heard her confirm with her manager on the phone that we would receive a full refund). Days later I follow up to get information about when I can expect to receive a refund, I called many times and no one knew what to tell me. Eventually I was able to speak to a manager who told me to send an email with the details. He then responded to my email saying he would look into it but that they do not have a refund policy. After I responded again, I did not receive any other communication. It has been many weeks and I have received no response or refund of any kind. I NEVER leave bad Yelp reviews, but I spent nearly $200 for an event I didn't get to participate in and after being assured I would receive a full refund I have been ignored on multiple occasions. read more

Booked this online for 6:30pm. Got there a little earlier than our start time. The lady who helped us was clearly overwhelmed as she appeared to be working alone. She was awaiting us and two other groups. While walking around, she clearly was frustrated and said "I hate my life". Fast forward to us being in our escape room, many of the clues didn't make sense. When we asked for a clue, there was a delay in getting a response. And the response was a clue we had already surpassed, or didn't help us in any way. It was clearly the same solo employee giving the clues that checked us in. We ended up leaving before our time even ended. This is by far the worse escape room we have been too. Very disappointed. This appears to be a poorly managed business. And I would take my time and money elsewhere. read more

We did the Egyptian Pharo escape room. This escape room was a blast. Me and my 7 year old son had so much fun solving the puzzles and we needed some hints to get through but Bree was so helpful. Bree was an absolute joy and so much fun. I would definitely recommend Big Escape Rooms. It's a very good place for a date night or family/friends hangout. read more

I would give 0 stars if I could. I have been to escape rooms all over the country and this one was by far the most disorganized mess. At arrival nobody was there, then somebody finally came out and says that nobody else is booked all night-that should have been clue #1. inside the room is a tv with the volume set so loud you can't hear yourself think much less the worker on the walkie talkie for a clue. towards the end with only like 1 lock to go the walkie magically stops working and the worker just starts talking quietly from outside the room. ‍ we can't even hear her for our last clue and so time runs out and she's like "have a good night". just ridiculous. For as much money as they charge per-person...they need to get it together. I can see why they are dead when all the other ones in town were booked. Will never be back. Don't come. save your money and avoid frustration by going somewhere else or staying home. It's like the people who built this place have never done an escape room. holy moly. read more

What a complete waste of time and money. We've done well over 50 escape rooms and this one was definitely bottom 5. We showed up 15 minutes early and sat in the waiting room almost 40 minutes...everyone was sweating as they had the temp set on 76. We did the pharaoh room and were given walkie talkies to communicate with the person monitoring our room so that we could ask questions when we got stuck. The channel we were told to use (and marked on the walkie talkie...we double checked) was apparently used by other rooms or the staff because we could hear people talking and laughing the entire time we were in the room. You try to go to an "immersive experience" and this obviously completely ruins that. We also had a member of the staff come into our room several times...the first time to ask if she had left her walkie talkie in the room and to peruse the room to see if she could find it. Again, completely ruining our focus. Beyond that the puzzles are laid out in a weird way so you can spend 15 - 20 minutes trying to solve something that is impossible to solve as you get all your clues in a subsequent room. The previous escape rooms we've been to where this has been the case in other escape rooms, the game master either tells you before you start or after you spend a good amount of time on a specific puzzle...they lightly nudge you and say "move on, you can't solve this now." Seemingly a small point, but if you're completely focused on trying to solve something and can't...again, ruins the experience. We've only been to a couple (out of dozens) that are this poorly laid out from a structure perspective. Similarly we correctly figured out the pattern for a directional lock, but it wouldn't open so we tried to solve it several different ways (very time consuming) and when we finally called in for a clue, she said "oh just pull it really hard, a bunch of people having been having problems with that one"...ok fix it. We finally progressed to a tomb room (the only cool part of the escape room was this room, which was nicely decorated). The icing on the cake for us came once we got into this room...we ended up just walking out of the room before our time was up. It's very dimly lit and they have a very small black cup of water inches from an electrical part of the game...how is it reasonable for someone to see water in that scenario? It's quite normal to expect someone to tilt the cup to see what's in it and even if you leave it where they staged it and just slightly tilt it...it goes straight onto some electrical monitoring system that you can't see (it's hidden). The game master then came in acting like my 60 year old mother was a complete idiot for spilling the water. Dont waste your time or money...Breakout games in town is far superior. read more
