A small family run amusement park how can you go wrong?…read more This park was awesome as it really does have something for everyone to have a fun filled day either in the sun or in the pool! So they have a a handful of flat rides as well as 3 roller coasters with one for the little ones one for those in the middle and then one for the extreme with their star attraction Rampage! They also have a very good sized Waterpark with tons of slides a lazy river and a wave pool with all this your sure to stay cool on your adventure all day! Their employee Alex was beyond awesome and accommodating to me as he was kind enough to take me on a backstage tour as well as a lift hill climb up Rampage which was beyond cool as well as beautiful not only from the coaster standpoint it from just where in this beautiful country the park is located with stunning views of hills and trees you can't go wrong! They do sell their tickets online for a discount so definitely check on that as it will save you some money but more importantly if you live local just buy a season pass as your gonna wanna come here more than once! They offer FREE drinks and parking which is super cool as it gets hot here so it's a great way to stay hydrated on those forever summer days! Overall this really is an amazing park that I can't wait to come back to at some point because it's totally a vibe and a fun one at that!

There is a vast difference in the way it looks now vs when "The General" was in attendance. It is still a family oriented business with modesty and behaviors of the customers being excellent and we still love it, but the park is very run down. 1. Restrooms need a good pressure wash, paint job and toilet paper. 2. In all fairness, it has rained almost every day this summer but the entire park needs a good cleaning. The chairs were moldy, there were slick spots on the concrete where it needs a good bleach or pressure wash as well as the lunch tables were filthy. Thankfully there was a spray bottle and towel by them which means I could clean before my kiddos could sit down. 3. I'm sure they were tired and ready to not be working (especially since we are in a heat wave), but the employees were not friendly, or took far too much time to load 5-6 people, and some were not at their post for a lot of the carnival rides. The guy at the Cheddar Cheese ride was friendly and quick. We did note that we didn't see anyone over the age of 20ish working. Adults could have been behind the scenes, but It definitely needs adult supervision among the younger employees. 4. A lot of the Alabama Adventure side wasn't working. We had to leave the tilt a whirl because it would not turn on after we loaded. Rampage was not open until much later in the day. Drop Zone only had two seats open. YoYo had a lot of seats closed. Only one car running at Cheddar Cheese. 5. The lines at Splash Adventure were fairly short, but the wait was long. Standing in the sun for half an hour was unbearable due to employees not being engaged. 6. The tubes for The Lazy River were about 5:1 on a not so busy day. You definitely need a float device because the current is fairly quick. 7. The wave pool was not waving, just a pool. 8. Almost all of the shops on Main Street are empty.

The kids enjoyed themselves and didn't want to leave. We came on a Monday so the parking wasn't bad and the Park was not crowded at all. Only downfall it was a super hot but we enjoyed ourselves. They have a concession stand that sells food or you can bring your own picnic set up. They have Avalon that you can rent or you can bring your own tent and utilize the picnic tables. The bathrooms are fairly clean, but of course there was no air circulating. I do wish they had some type of fountain where you could get filtered water from for free. Definitely on my to do list for next summer!

We decided to visit on a Monday with the hopes of a small crowd. Well it was not packed but definitely not a small crowd. You can pay $20 for parking inside or free parking outside. We decided to go with free parking and it was just fine! The ticket booth was a little crowded when we arrived right after opening. The line did move fast. The price was as expected for a water park at $35 for adults and older kids and $28 for under 2 and elderly. The park is open from 10am until 6pm and we spent most of the day here. The park has several picnic tables available. We decided to bring a tent to cover it. Best idea we could have thought of! They offer some paid cover sitting areas but they were booked. Our set up was perfect... just should have bought more snacks/beverages. The park has a wonderful kids area! It has a setup with the dump bucket and kids play area. The large pool area is my favorite part. The water was the perfect temp and felt clean. I stayed here most of the day. They have a few water slides near the top of the park. It had good selections for older kids. My kids loved this part! We did visit the concessions and the food was good! We spent about $13 on each meal. Next time I will bring food to save. They have a decent restroom area that was clean and comfortable. So will all of that being said... we LOVED this experience! 10 out of 10! Well done Spring Valley!

But the elephants and the monkeys are my kids favorites so we renewed our membership. We always bring snacks and spend our entire morning there, stopping to munch on the grass or at the splash pad. That is, until today. Checking in as normal and the guy insists on searching my cooler bag. First time in two years the cooler bag has even been acknowledged but ok? I'm then told because have shredded chicken for my kids as a snack it's not allowed in. I have to take everything back to my car or I'm not allowed entry. But don't you worry, if I had potato chips or any other unhealthy bagged snacks then that's totally fine to bring in!! If I want to pay for my yearly membership and then go eat in the parking lot I'm totally welcome to do that. How generous! Unfortunately last time I checked I can go eat at just about any park for FREE, I don't pay for a membership to eat in the parking lot. My children have bad allergies so I bring our food pretty much everywhere and I thought the zoo was a safe place but apparently not. We finished our visit (early of course because ya know my kids were hungry and we had to rush through everything so I could trek them back through the parking lot to our exclusive dining spot to eat our contraband chicken) and as I'm walking out the door what do I see?? A man rolling an honest to God IGLOO COOLER. ROLLING IT. Full of seed oil fried Cheese Puffs I'm sure!! So idk if the gate keepers were just on a power trip today and felt like they wanted to discriminate against children with allergies or what, but I'll definitely be considering this experience when/if I renew next year. If you're considering a membership for your children, the McWane has never one time given me an ounce of issue about bringing food in, just saying.
