After our shore excursion on the glacier, we were wandering around town, looking for something to fill a few hours. After visiting Devils brewery and the Amalga distillery (both worth a visit, btw), we took a peek on Trip Advisor for nearby activities and this showed up. It was a short block and a half from the distillery, so we walked there. The door was locked, but we called the number on the door and the owner was happy to drive from her home and meet us. I was the only person in our group of 4 that had previous experience with an escape room, so she suggested we do Espionage 1. She clearly explained how the game would work and even went upstairs to the bar to order us some drinks to enjoy during our one-hour game. Everyone in our group was able to contribute to the clue-solving and it was a challenging room. We had to ask for several clues along the way and were able to earn some additional clues by doing silly tasks that were fun. Overall, it was a completely entertaining and fun way to spend an hour with friends. If you're done shopping the touristy shops and are looking for a fun off-the-beaten-path experience, I highly recommend this place!!!!! read more

The owner was extremely nice and the props and everything were great but the experience we played had some flaws. I wish it had been advertised that it was a dark room for one, no one going into that room knew and most of us were a little put out because we did not know that is what we signed up for and would likely have picked one of the other rooms had we known. Overall it was still fun but there were absolutely some issues with puzzles and the dark room with nothing but tiny electric tea lights to lead your way being sprung upon me killed the experience somewhat for me. I would try their other rooms but the gold mining one I would say felt more like it was in late stage development than a completely coherent finished experience. read more

We are lucky to have this in Juneau! It's a fun evening out with a group of friends. We have done the espionage office and just today we tried the new gold miners cabin. I'm glad we did the espionage one first as the miners cabin seemed harder. Or maybe it is an added element of difficulty that you're operating in a very dark candle lit room? You get one hour to find all the clues and unlock the mystery... the clock is ticking! Pick a fun group of people to do this with and you can't go wrong. It's around $30 per person. read more

We have done a lot of escape rooms, and these rank right up there! We first did Espionage 1 and found it so good and entertaining that we went back the next night and did Rowdy's Gold Claim, which was really spectacular and quite different and challenging since it's done in the dark. The props in the rooms are great. The clues and puzzles are hard but not impossible. The game masters are really quite wonderful (Hi Ryan!) and fun. read more
