This is not a spa or even a real massage place with more than one room. This is one room in an office building. I repeat office building! At that rate they should be doing house calls. It would be a better experience The attorney next door has "please be quite" on the door with a dog in her office.. yet she is on conference calls very loudly. If you ask me this is the biggest mis-advertising / scam I've seen in a while in terms of the website they should be more descriptive on location. Whenever I know I will be visiting Crested Butte, CO (about once a year) I always look forward to a skilled massage from one of the excellent Massage Therapists at Escape Bodywork Boutique. I am a Massage therapist in Arizona and I like that there are many types of massage/bodywork treatments to choose from as well as Spa wraps etc.. If you are planning on a massage I highly recommend you book your massage experience through Escape. By the way, right next door to this establishment is an excellent, caring and gentle Chiropractor (Mimi at Bliss Chiropractic). I find that a massage and a spinal adjustment is a great combo to keep me feeling limber for the myriad of activities in the Crested Butte environment. read more

I totally disagree with the review by Abby B. regarding the space. I found it to be quiet and relaxing. I preferred that it was not a fancy "spa" but a serious, professional body treatment. I have been getting regular massages for 10 years due to back and neck issues. Jess gave me the best massage I have ever had. It was far superior to the "fluff" massages that I have had in other vacation locations and less expensive as well. I also bought a gift certificate for my daughter. Since she lives and works in CB, I was offered a 15% discount. I will be going back next time I am in town! read more

One of the most relaxing, rejuvenating messages I have ever experienced. I am here on vacation and needed a little pampering. I checked out the Yelp reviews and seeing only one review was a little hesitant, but thank goodness I trusted the previous Yelper. Ryan was lovely, she started with the dry brush which gets rid of the top layer of dead skin cells then I was treated to an hour aromatherapy message that has left me smelling like pure happiness and relaxation. The message was perfect, just the right amount of pressure, soothing music, amazing smells, and a real message by someone who obviously know the muscle anatomy of the body. It is just a single room on the third floor of a building at the end of the city's main street, yet I felt like I was in a luxury spa. Best end to my Colorado adventure! A+++ all the way! read more

I booked an appointment hoping a massage would fix my tension and shoulder pain. It sure did! Jess skillfully worked out all the knots, even the ones I didn't know I had. The facilities are warm, clean, and comfortable. Before my massage, I started with the skin brushing option, which I've read is good for the lymphatic system. It felt amazing. I also chose aromatherapy, which did wonders for my congestion. The actual massage part was sublime. Jess is professional, kind, and left me feeling right as rain. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our couples massage here - she said it was one of the best she has had in Colorado. Our Masseuses were very friendly and welcoming which immediately set a great relaxing feel to the experience; something not always found at hotel spas. My husband is in the travel business so Ive had hundreds of massages throughout my lifetime. For many years, no masseuse could outdo Jeff from Australia or Vito in Palm Springs. Mandi has totally blown my theory that male masseuses are better because their larger hands cover a larger surface area which feels better. My massage was with Jess and my husband's with Ariel - we both thought they were amazing! So many times I am asking for more pressure, but not in this case - Jess was spot on and kept the intensity for the entire 90 minutes. If we had stayed longer in CB, I would've been back for sure.
