I particularly like the location in Pacific Place, as it is large, carries a good stock, both on display and "out the back", and often has sales on, on top of their regular discounts. The store stocks all types of shoes, clothing and accessories for sports, primarily; running, fitness, basketball, racquet sports, swimming (which many other sport stores don't cater to), footy, and general outdoor (hiking, etc). It is mainly shoes and clothes, with some things like bags, swimming goggles, medical supports. They don't stock a great deal of kit like balls or tennis racquets, so if you need specific sports equipment, you may have to look elsewhere. The store is well laid out, by sport, department, and brand, so things are easy to find. Staff are on standby to help, and can be helpful to the point of pestering, but they do have to make a buck I suppose. When you buy, always ask for a discount. Nine out of ten, they will apply the 5-10% membership discount, regardless of whether or not you are a member. This store in particular, impresses me with their range of swimming gear. As well as swimwear, they have loads of goggles, including prescription lenses, waterproof mp3 players, and floats and accessories. The stock is large compared to other stores. They also have a dedicated kids department, and a good Columbia concession with loads of wicking clothing.

I had been looking around Wan Chai for some of those but the best deals I could get were still not that great value for money (okay design and too pricey for their quality). Wan Chai has great stores for branded trainers; prices are half the ones at Giga Sports, but I suspect they're also from previous collections. However today I was after some tights and sports bras. I was impressed by the size of the store: they have a few sections by brand and sport. There's a specific one on fitness which I went to check out. Unfortunately they only had a couple of tights from Adidas, but they were around 250HKD, which is much cheaper than other stores. Their range of bras is great though, and they have the same price (so it's pretty much average). There were some more clothes on the running section and even the tennis one, but for the size of the store it didn't seem much. They're not a specialized store. Instead they have multiple sections with a few items, including swimming and golf, and a corner devoted to hiking products. There is way too much staff in this place though, but nobody approached me to help, which was fine as I could find what I was after quite easily. I picked up a brochure I saw at the fitness section and I'm browsing through it, got hooked on their Adidas tights and will come back for them!

Convenient location, there's plenty of drink and food places nearby if you're needing a little pick-me-up from shopping. Down the street was the infamous ladies' market as well.

But, the quality of the clothing that they sell are very good! If you're looking for North Face, they do carry North Face. I definitely wouldn't discourage you from coming here. I think you should, as I'd always like to support small local businesses. Considering this is HK, the shop is super small, which could be why their stock quantity is so low. I'm not one that tends to cop merch when certain things drop, but as a favor to others I still made my way down here to check out the place. The store layout is excellent. With two stories, blissfully cold AC, and a plethora of memorabilia, it's an easy destination for retail therapy. Much of the gear is currently world cup oriented and the friendly workers were able to let me know that seasonal items come and go quickly in the store and that most folks will be on top of the online orders. As expected, much of the gear is top of the line pricing. Premium gear and selection comes at a cost, especially in one of the most shopping heavy parts of the city. The football (#1) jerseys are anywhere from $300 to $600HKD and the upstairs streetwear + women's gear is looking close to $1K for a proper outfit. Bought a pair of Birkenstocks and Arnold Palmer sandals here…read more The sales associates know what they are doing and can speak English which is a plus for foreigners such as myself. Paid about $489 HKD ($60 USD) for a pair of Birkenstocks and $200 something HKD for the Arnold Palmer heel sandal. ($30 USD) Birkenstocks were way cheaper than normal which scared me because I thought they would be fake, but CPU is an official store affiliated with Birkenstock. I saw on the Birkenstock website. So buy buy buy!

Shopping experience…read more.. Retail therapy is my best relief and here in Hong Kong's Fa Yuen Street Market it definitely was something that I'm so glad to have visited. Nadine and so proudly figured out to navigate our way to this huge area that seem to have the dedicated space for this market which took the whole street. Walking through as I browsed each vendor there seem to be the same of many items which made me confused if it was the same seller or different though some of the prices and various other items differ I wasn't the greatest at bargaining though it was easier if it was just out of curiosity versus a want it was really fun looking through the various items with everything from household to electronics, towels and plushies. Taking the train was definitely fun and easy just find your way to Log Kok Station and there are signs to guide you the way...happy shopping! Thank you!

Fa Yuen Street is another "Night Market" shopping experience…read more The street is blocked off from vehicular traffic and both sides of the street are lined with vendors that block the regular brick and mortar shops along the way. That means there's four rows of shopping! The outdoor ambiance was fine for an October day. The sky was a bit overcast, so we were not burning in the heat. Some stalls weren't set up by noon, but most were open. Vendors didn't bargain much since prices were quite reasonable. Example: I got a pair of socks for 10 HK$ while I got another pair for 12 HK$ at a different place yesterday. Yeah, it's only a few cents difference, but hey... it's the principle. Fa Yuen Street had more fruits, towels, and household goods as compared with the Ladies Market. I saw pillows, curtains, chair covers, blankets, and scissors here. Other merchandise included luggage, purses, tote bags, reusable bags, Thai-style clothing, umbrellas, sunglasses, socks, underwear, and more! For us, it was worth the trek over. We got off at the Mong Kok Station... same one we used for the Ladies Market!

I already have running shoes and my Vibram shoes for hiking, so I don't really need any other…read moretrainers. But I'm a big fan of sports apparel and shoes, especially the colorful ones from Nike or Adidas. In Wan Chai there are a ton of sports shops to choose from, most of them carrying a big selection of sport wear at good prices. All of them have big discounts and you can normally get a good deal anywhere. But Footwear Supermarket is my preferred one. They have Reebok and Puma for running shoes mainly, but they also have some Columbia and Converse products and pretty much everything is reduced. For what I was looking for, they didn't really have 'the ones', but I still had a look because the staff didn't seem very preoccupied with me browsing around, so I kept going. I found it odd that on one of the corners they have 'normal' shoes, but I ignored those because they were, well, a little ugly, and just didn't fit in there. They also had some okay clothes. If you are looking for a fancy pair of trainers, it's probably not the place, they all look very functional, and cheap (some of the discounts went up to 50%). Because I already have what I need and I'm more looking for 'pretty' shoes, I decided to go next door, but if you need good shoes, don't care that much about the design and are not willing to spend much, it's worth checking them out. Also, for trekking shoes they're pretty good too.
