When I was 18 I started coming to Dr. Chen as a last stitch effort to find a dentist that didn't terrify me. Just a few weeks earlier I had gone to a dentist nearby and they told me I had 8 cavities! And they even brought a book out and pointed at a page to tell me what I was doing wrong. I left in tears and so I found a second dentist in Modesto. This second dentist (1 week later) told me I had 12 cavities! Now I suspected something was very wrong. I couldn't have 4 more cavities in only a week, right?? So I went to a Lakeview dental and saw Dr. Chen (again 1 week later). She told me I had 1 cavity and just a bunch of stains on my teeth. I have never gone to another dentist since. 10/10 will recommend.

They don't look at your face with a dollar sign. My prescription was for transition lenses, which didn't work for me, and they agreed to exchange them for bifocals. When they called me to pick up the lenses, everything was EXCELLENT. For the prescription change, they also gave me a small refund to my debit card (something unexpected). this was my first time (and my husband's) going to an optometry office that wasn't target. dr. t…read morewas very nice and quick with explaining eye problems and finding the correct lens. i gave the office girls a little bit of a hard time because i was looking for a new style and then when i found the ones i liked i decided i wouldn't get them because they weren't fully covered by my insurance. the ladies were super understanding, clear about insurance coverage and nice (i think one was shadowing). they send message reminders for the appt and when your glasses are ready. i'll probably be back again next year.

After the second my fathers eye never healed as promised. His vision got progressively worse. After about 10+ appointments and doctor only spending a few minutes then just prescribing drops each time we decided not to go anymore. After sharing how we felt with the doctor is the first time we experienced any sort of genuine treatment from him. However, it is far too late and we are extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service and care we received.

The office is super clean and neat, every where I went things were in order. Rather than sit in a room waiting for your eyes to dialate, the nurse comes out to get you ready. I feel it is a faster way of handling the clients. Of course the first thing done, is a total eye exam, then you are moved to see Dr.Tesluk, who goes over you our chart and why you are visiting the office. Overall, the experience is a good one. Everyone at the office knows their job and does a good job in treating and helping you. I would refer my friends to this office, plenty of parking.

Dr. Dawn Viramontes is by far my favorite optometrist, and best one in town…read more I'm 28 and never in a million years thought that I could get Shingles. Of all places, I got it on my forehead, and eventually in my left eye. I saw my primary physician, and they officially diagnosed me with shingles, but couldn't treat my eye pain besides prescribing anti-viral medication. So, what do i do? I called several optometrists, and they were all booked. I called Dr. Viramontes's Office, and thank god, they were accepting new patients. after all this internal havoc, I can't describe how happy I was that I chose her. She was attentive, caring, and and well-informed on the issue. She prescribed several drops, and mentioned several techniques to reduce the pain. Not to mention, she was totally fine If I called/messaged her during off-hours. When the pain was unbearable, I messaged her during the weekend, and she suggested a few things that reduced the pain. such a great person! I can say that she really cares for her patients. She'll be my main optometrist from now on!

The girls are all kind, helpful, and always go the extra mile to make sure you are happy with your glasses. I have gotten regular glasses and sunglasses from the office. They have a beautiful selection and the girls will always find something that looks good on you. They can even order frames for you if you want a different color other than what they have in the office. As far as the location, there is always a lot of room to park and the area is clean and safe. It can be hard to find the office if you have never been before so I would recommend entering the suites off Oakdale, next to Burger King and the apartments. The office is in the back corner. We go every December and can't wait to go back. Best doctor we have ever had. Prescriptions are always 100% and his exams are different than other places because he has new technology.
