The instant that I entered the bakery, the team members were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. This helped my entire pick up experience wonderful since it was my first time inside the bakery. The Tsp Baking Company had mini cupcakes, cakes, ice cream, cookies and so much more! When I ordered my cake, I selected a chocolate cake with vanilla frosting and chocolate ganache. It looked amazing. I would say it had a clean, professional appearance, nothing too elaborate, but it was well done enough for birthday celebration! Upon cutting into it, I could tell the cake was denser then I expected. However, it was still delicious! The chocolate was rich and satisfying, yet not overly heavy or sweet. The vanilla frosting added a touch of sweetness and a contrast to each bite making them enjoyable. Even though typically I prefer lighter, fluffier cakes, this cake still was very good! This cake had an decadent feel to it and every person that tried some enjoyed it. The cake tasted fresh! Between the excellent customer service and quality of cake I received, I will absolutely have no hesitation returning to TSP Baking Company for any future celebrations! I didn't receive a response until the end of day on Tuesday. I also called her bakery multiple times and had no answer or response-- for 4 days! By that point, I already found another bakery to handle the cake, but had I waited, I would have been left in a very bad position. As a fellow business owner, I don't say this lightly ~ the level of communication here is pretty unacceptable. It takes legit, less than a minute to acknowledge an inquiry and set expectations. A simple "I'm totally booked out" or "I'll follow up" would have demonstrated basic professionalism and respect for a potential client's time and energy. When someone goes out of their way to find your business, fill out your form, and actively try to give you money ~ silence and negligence send a very clear message about how that effort is valued. You haven't earned a client here-- and maybe that doesn't matter to you, but word of mouth is the best form of advertisement, and that matters. My response to Christy's response: It takes less than a minute to fire off an email, or simply answer your phone. There's no such thing as "Easter Monday"-- it's just Monday. When someone reaches out with a clear deadline, a quick acknowledgment isn't optional-- it's expected. Even a one-line response would have been enough for me to plan accordingly.
