No call, text, apology, made up excuse or acknowledgement of the no showed appointment. So then they emailed a week later like nothing happened to visit our property on some random day we had absolutely no knowledge of. When I reminded them that they no showed for our appointment and we weren't interested, they took the reminder as confirmation and came by anyway! I can't make this up. RUN..and fun fast. The level of unprofessional is next level. From reading the other reviews, we dodged a bullet- and the unprofessional comes from the top which is really concerning.

My landscaping knowledge basically stopped at knowing I needed new sod, the old bushes removed and replaced, and some kind of erosion control along the side of the house. Adam, the owner, came out to give me a quote and immediately put together a thoughtful design plan--plants, rocks, mulch, sod, and everything else--while staying within my budget. Hardworking, detailed, friendly, and organized barely begins to describe Adam and his crew. Windy, the co‑owner and office manager, is just as impressive: easy to reach and quick to respond. The Lawn Squad truly rescued my yard and brought it back to life.

I contacted Steve via text and via e-mail very courteously to fulfill the requirement of the warranty on a few rose bushes his team planted for me at our main home that never grew. Four of the ones that he planted for us died. He responded and scheduled a time to come and replace them. On the day he scheduled to come, he called and said that the roses were not in stock and would be the following Monday. I never heard from him the following Monday. His team them abruptly scheduled a date and time to come to plant something that I received via e-mail and didn't know on that date and time either, which was a Sunday afternoon. I kindly parked with flags the plants that needed to be replaced under the warranty from an over $1000 purchase I made on plants. The communication is subpar and I fear they do not want to fulfill the stipulations of the warranty on plants. Beware of this type of interaction and any promise they make on warranty fulfillment when you purchase services from this company.

Biggest issue with the session was Mark's constant reference to cost and condecending tone when providing 'advice' about working with a HOA, which suggested he did not assume we could afford to remodel our home. This caused me to suspect he is not accustomed to working with people of color, but in the spirit of experiencing a teachable moment, if someone agrees to pay you over $200 above your typical fee to get you to travel outside of your normal geographic range of services to draw up a plan for a renewed front yard, it is probably safe to assume they understand the concept of a HOA and can afford to buy the desired plants and hire landscapers.

A week (and thousands of dollars) later I knew he was struggling because nothing seemed done so I started looking for a different landscaper. He and his crew had the bulk of the work done in a day and went the extra mile to add finishing touches that improved on what I was envisioning. The end result was someth even better than I envisioned. He also cleaned up all the fallen leaves (unfortunately that's a daily struggle as you can tell in the pictures).
