Trusted sources told me to go to Camelot Jewelers. They did not disappoint. I went in with a basic idea of what I wanted for an engagement ring, and the staff, as well as Rodney Williams, the owner, readily worked with me to find a ring and diamond that not only met, but exceeded my expectations. My fiance has called it her "dream ring", and couldn't be happier with it.

I had the absolute worst shopping experience with Dan this evening at Rogers Jewelers. If I could…read morerate my experience with 0 stars, I would. I went in to Rogers Jewelers this evening because unfortunately, I lost my engagement ring this past weekend while I was on vacation. When I entered into the store, both employees remained behind the desk. Dan asked me if he could help me in anyway, and I told him "Yes, I'm looking for a rose gold and morganite ring." He immediately asked me "Why do you want morganite?" Now, as someone who wanted a non-tradition, non-diamond engagement ring, I can tell you that I constantly receive harsh feedback regarding my center stone choice. I replied that "I like it, and that is what my old engagement ring was" which my fiancé and I picked out together. He started being combative and said "Morganite isn't going to last." I told him that I was aware of the potential repercussions of purchasing a morganite stone, but was not open to diamond or anything else. He continued to push me about diamonds, and how "Diamond are forever." Which is easily the most cliche line I have ever heard during a shopping experience, and paired with his combative demeanor, I was beyond done with this shopping experience. I told him "I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be offensive, but I will not purchase a diamond." He again pushed stating that their diamonds are the high quality, etc..., and to be honest, I was not looking to continue the conversation. When I started to become disinterested and kept stating that I wanted a morganite ring, Dan became increasingly more defensive and combative. I alluded to the fact that most diamonds are acquired through slave and child labor, and ethically, I was not Interested in purchasing a diamond AGAIN. At this point, I had been actively arguing with someone who offered to help me for about 3 minutes and the other employee stared on. I have never had to persuade someone to spend money in their store until this moment. I even saw a ring in the store that I was interested in trying on. However, Dan's tone, poor customer service, and predatory attempt at up-selling caused me to walk across the hallway and purchase a ring at your competitor, where they were MORE THAN WILLING to show me all of their morganite and rose gold rings. When I asked for his name, he again, raised his voice, "what is YOUR name?" He replied. I have NEVER been spoken to like this in a retail environment before. Not to mention, he continued to raise his voice as I walked out of the store. I will absolutely not be purchasing anything with this store again, and will actively deter others. I would really like a manager to reach out to me and discuss this incident further, and remedy this employees behavior going forward.

We purchased the Lifetime Diamond guarantee which requires us to get it cleaned and inspected twice a year. Fast forward only 2 years later, the Middlesboro location closed without notice. So now I have to send my ring, insured, through the postal service to Evansville, IN twice a year which is costing us almost $150 a year. This is quite ridiculous as it is not my fault the location closed. They should have made a contract with another jeweler who can clean and inspect my ring twice as required.
