It looked like a stunted barge that purposefully beached itself to be scrapped. Instead, they put offices in it. I shook off the rain and limped like a lame dog into the main passageway towards the elevator. Startled, I caught myself in the mirror looking like hell having worked a marathon week in the office. ::thump:: The elevator drops a few inches and hesitates, realizing I didn't give it a command. My knee groaned like an old tree... Realizing that I too didn't know where I was going, and that I once again forgot the name of this place, I looked around and pressed the G button... for garden. I slowly descended into the dark cargo hold trying to make myself look less homeless in the mirror. The office was quiet and warm. I was now having fleeting flashbacks of a ship I once explored while in Russia. The giant receptionist desk dwarfed the chairs in the waiting area, which made my debilitated knees feel like they were right against the desk. Another patient walked in and sat unnecessarily close to me. I could see him looking at me in my peripheral, maybe ascertaining if I was indeed without home. I did what any good Seattleite would do and ignored him, frowning deep in profound thought. I saw candy canes in a basket, which reminded me of my late father who suffered from type 1 diabetes and had lost both legs. My mind flipped towards my own immortality and my genetic predisposition for diabetes. Halfway through the delightful candy cane, I worked my cramped left hand across a clipboard filling out paperwork. I was called back and met the owner, who was cheerful, friendly, and in way better shape than myself. He sat me down in what can only be described as a 1930's lobotomy chair. I couldn't stop playing with the levers and knobs in wonderment. I saw a painting of a ram that made me ponder if I could handle staring at it while on mushrooms. On my way out I felt good, refreshed even. I looked to my right and a secret door had appeared which lead right outside. Shuffling up the steps, I was thankful I didn't have to look into that mirror again on the way out. As I clumsily thrust myself back across the parking lot, I kept looking back towards the Soviet ship, trying to shake the feeling of that ram in the painting watching me. Waiting... perhaps in that chair. Anyway, I totally recommend these guys. if you're looking for orthotics in Seattle or prosthetics in Seattle. My husband had his leg amputated last year. Our first interaction with CPO was through Overlake…read moreMedical Center as they cast his leg after the amputation. He bled through that cast pretty quickly after surgery and someone came to the hospital to address our concerns and recast him. Sharon was the one who helped during the initial recasting and helped explain some of the process to us. Shortly after that, we had our first encounter with Doug from CPO as he had to come to our Lake Washington Vascular appointments and recast my husband leg as the swelling went down. Doug is a great guy and offered a lot of information on each visit with all the questions we asked along the way. Once my husband was able to transition out of the cast and prepare for a prosthetic, we did start our visits at the Bellevue location. Again, Doug took care and consideration into every appointment with my husband. Explaining what they were doing and why they were doing. The initial prosthetic took a few appointments for fitting and casting but I will never forget the look and smile on my husband's face when he got his first new leg. The gift that Doug and his team provided my husband with giving him a sense of normalcy and regaining back his independence is something I will value for the rest of my life. There were a couple of times we have had to reach out because of adjustment ms that needed to be made to the prosthetic and each time they were accommodating to get us in. After the Bellevue location closed, we transitioned to the Seattle location. Hannah at the front desk is very professional and easy to work with. The office space is so much bigger too. Doug and his team really navigated their way with my husband's insurance to make sure it would be covered and ensure our out of pocket expenses would be limited. My husband is now in second prosthetic. One with a little more mobility and allows him to take bigger strides. We are beyond thankful for Doug and his team. Nobody ever is prepared for having to go through an amputation but I would without hesitation recommend Doug and his team.

The "other" I spoke w/ people 3 times and each time found them to be extremely shrill- super stress out. Mary Catherines employees were calm, understanding and answered ?s nicely. Each time- 3 before coming in- I was spoken to so politely. At my appointment I was again treated nicely, got info, was shown several options. She listened and I needed some of their offerings. I was told they have a wide variety. They do. I was able to narrow down things to what I need for now. I got straight forward insurance info.In addition to what one may need for day-to-day use they have many other very attractive tops, swim suit tops etc. Thank you so much.

I was told it would be covered by insurance and that i needed a prescription for the bra for it to be covered by medicare. I got a prescription for the bra. Only after I was there was I told that I had to pay in full and that Medicare would reimburse me. $144. Medicare denied it. Mary Catherine's said they would investigate and told me that the prescription needed to say for lymphedema on it. I was told that they were getting an updated prescription from the doctor and would resubmit the claim and there was nothing I needed to do. I heard nothing from Medicare. Mary Catherinie's now says that they never received the prescription from the doctor and again will resubmit the claim. I won't use them again or go through their door until they fix this. I will update my review if they do.

The boilerplate care she received at Horrorview and UDumb were completely reversed when we got her to Overlake Hospital and into Dr. Odderson's care. The Harborview verdict of "life in a wheelchair" and their constant lectures about "You might walk again but you need to learn the wheelchair if that doesn't happen" became, at Overlake, "Well, let's see how we can get you back onto your feet". The positive attitude that Dr. Odderson carries with him like he carries his briefcase did more for Judye's recovery than all the exercises and equipment that she was shoved into at the other places. Dr. Odderson created a physical therapy regimen designed especially for her and challenged her to take it farther, try new ways of doing whatever she was struggling with, and to do what SHE beleved she needed to get better. At UW, she was actively discouraged from seeing any other physical therapists than those on their staff. When she asked Dr. Odderson about going to St. Louis, to consult with the team that worked on Christopher Reeve, Dr. Odderson's response was, "Good idea. It might bring some fresh perspectives." We owe Dr. Odderson a lot. He has been a good and patient steward of Judye's care, throughout the process of her recovery. His expertise and unfailing good humor is truly refreshing, given the obstacle course we've been through in her medical care. I can absolutely recommend him for anyone who's been through the sort of injury as Judye's or the effects of a crippling disease as someone who will be on YOUR side, carrying state-of-the-art credentials and knowledge.

Been going here off & on for 50+ years. Off & on because I would always quit over some extremely…read morepoor service. Doctors constantly refer you for procedures that take weeks to schedule. Then you have to wait weeks for a follow-up with your doctor to give you the results. My GP goes on pregnancy leave for 5 months and the VA never put in a replacement doctor. You had to see the PA or an LPN for care that they didn't have the training to perform. The place was terrible when I got back from Nam. Then it started getting better in the 2000's until Trump. Now its back to being a sh*t-hole again.
