We did a lot of research and Alex was competitively priced with other highly sought after premier photographers, he actually beat them out on price which was great. He is slightly more expensive than most standard photographers, but let me tell you it is 100% worth it to pay a little extra money to get a world-class photographer to shoot your wedding. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and a part of that was knowing I had Alex on my side to shoot my best side. We had already created a good rapport before the wedding but even if we hadn't, Alex can put you at ease. He makes you feel so comfortable in front of a camera; I had let him know some of my insecurities before we started shooting and I can tell you I didn't have a single unflattering shot. For me there are a ton of amazing things about working with Alex but my #1 has got to be the fact that he doesn't ask for cheesy shots. We've all seen it, the same wedding pose you see time and time again where the couple looks so awkward and uncomfortable because they would never pose like that in real life; it usually includes some sort of lying or leaning on one another. Yeah, we didn't want that and Alex never directed us to do anything like that. Now if you want that, you certainly can ask him to up the cheese and Im positive he will be able to deliver but thats not his go to. He wants real photos that show love and comfort and happiness and he captures the essence of a couple, not just on their wedding day, but how they live their life together. Alex's photography is epic, our wedding photos are epic. Book Alex! Don't hesitate!

Myself, my husband, and our 9 month old son were all in the wedding party. As you can imagine, I was so excited to be able to see all the pictures that were taken. After all, it's not like we were able to take pictures during the ceremony or during all those special moments. People even say it's rude to take pictures during weddings, that's why you pay sooo much money for a photographer, right?! Well, after returning home, we learned the heartbreaking news that Amanda did not back up any of the photos on her computer after deleting them from her camera, her computer crashed, and you can guess what happened....ALL of the photos were GONE!! Who doesn't back up their work?! These are irreplaceable moments. This is so inexcusable and downright terrible business practices. But you want to know the cherry on the top of it all?! She refuses to give my brother and his wife their money back!!! She even had the gall to tell them that she'd only give them their money back if they would take down their review!!! We've bitten our tongues for a long enough. Save your money and do not trust this irresponsible photographer with your most precious moments. I understand things happen, but she has not handled this in any sort of professional way. This is honestly the most absurd thing that I have ever heard of and your actions for not backing up your work and how you've handled everything since have been egregious!!! They have been more than patient for the last two years, trying to recover photos and figure out a way to get this rectified and have not received anywhere close to an acceptable resolution. She has the ability to incorporate the kids and give the adults a comfort even when they are uncomfortable being in front of the camera and worried about their wild kids' behavior. She has expert tricks to get candid looking photos. I am always beyond please with our pictures. She also is one of the only photographers that provides digital rights to the entire session and that for me is priceless! So many other photographers charge astronomical amounts and then still charge even more money for prints or access to digital rights. I have recommended her to friends without disappointment.

This was one of the absolute worst experiences that I've had with a photo shoot. I will describe…read morethe situation from the beginning. I wanted a fun photoshoot with an abundance of flowers. I reached out to her and she assured me that she understood my vision and would be able to deliver. I paid (and even tipped, regrettably) prior to the shoot, per her policy. During our initial conversation, I stated that I wanted a lot of flowers and I would buy them from a local flower shop. Kyra insisted that I would not need to purchase flowers because the photoshoot was after Mother's day and a wedding and she would be able to get them for free. I took her word for it and did not make arrangements. I tried calling her on several occasions leading up to the photoshoot but she did not answer my calls. I began to get worried, but I figured it was because she was busy. The night before the photo shoot, she told me she could not secure any flowers....the night before the photoshoot. When I suggested changing the date of the shoot to allow me to make alternative arrangements, she declined. I did not want to make a fuss, so I scrambled and found a place where I could buy several bouquets. So, on the day of the shoot, she began taping the flowers that I bought to the wall. She said that we only needed to tape a few because she would photoshop the tape out and cover the wall with the flowers via photoshop. I waited over three weeks for the photos. When I inquired about when I would receive them, she stated that she was sick and had to send them to a company to be edited. About two days later, I received the photos. Wow. They were completely unedited - the flowers did not cover the entire wall, the tape was not edited out of the photos from the flowers, and my actual face/appearance had no retouching. I was so confused. I revisited the contract and it explicitly stated "40 Fully Retouched Images." None were retouched. She tried to cover herself by lying in an email, stating that she only does "small retouches"/ contrary to the contract. So, she offered a few insufficient options to make an attempt to rectify the situation - she said I can 1. pay more money for each image to be edited (even though the contract states fully retouched images) 2. Use her standard retouching? 3. a 50% refund with no images. I even tried to make it easier on her and offered to obtain the raw images and I would pay an actual professional to edit them. She stated that she does not allow her images to be edited by others, which is contrary to the fact that she sent my photos to be edited by another professional, who did not understand the assignment. So, after all of that - I had to wait yet another 2 weeks for subpar images. To add salt to the wound, she even had the nerve to use MY image on her email marketing campaign. I highly recommend looking elsewhere - because you will not receive images according to your vision, there will be a lack of communication, and you will wait 3+ weeks for unedited images.
