As a general dentist, I've worked with Dr Lenk for over a decade and he is certainly my "go-to" for…read morewhen my patients need an orthodontic referral, both kids and adults. He and his staff are warm, caring, and professional. I appreciate that he does an excellent job of communicating with MY office before, during, and after treatment and will always coordinate as needed if we need to do any treatment during the patient's time in braces, they are great with that as well. I can't pretend to understand this platform's algorithm for allowed/featured and "not recommended" reviews. It sure can seem arbitrary and when you ask service reps apparently no one knows how this secret sauce works... it just happens! That said, I am perplexed that this office has only 5 featured write ups but 19 that fall under "not recommended." Seems strange. One of those unfeatured posters tho suggested that the doctor was trying to just get more money out of the reviewer's son. I can say without question that that is NOT how Dr Lenk does business! I have seen him time and again reduce fees and no-charge certain services to help out patients in need. He has historically been very generous seeing kids with NH Medicaid. 60% of the state's dentists do NOT see those patients because the low reimbursement rates result in the practice often taking a loss. So while that unfair accusation was buried in "not recommended" section (along with a dozen good looking reviews!) I couldn't stand by without speaking up in defense of Lenk Orthodontics. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and quite fair. Certainly where this dentist will take his kids when they need braces in a few years!

Stephanie spoke with us for about 15 minutes and conducted some x rays and spoke about a plan for her teeth. She was very nice, helpful and professional. Dr. Lenk then entered the room and started his presentation. He got off track a bit about 10 minutes into the conversation. I then asked a couple questions to get him back on track and he then abruptly stated "It was too hot in the room, I was too aggressive and asked us to leave ". The other four of us in the room looked at each other awkwardly as he exited the room. Stephanie, his assistant said " I'm not sure what just happened". My daughter thought he was joking. He then poked his head back in the exam room and said, " Leave now". Needless to say, Dr. Lenk was extremely unprofessional and couldn't handle a couple normal questions from a seated position, not loud or out of line any parent would ask. There was zero aggression directed toward him. We left like normal, adults without a scene and upset we wasted out time with such an unprofessional person.

I have never met a more impatient and short tempered person who is supposed to be specializing in pediatric care, for CHILDREN, but has no compassion or patience for them. I find it hard to believe that kids from ages 1-4 are always easy to deal with, but considering my child was in my option averagely afraid and a little difficult as can be expected I think when this is not something they're regularly expected to do, and also the fact even adults have dentist anxiety and fear, the way it was handled was so unprofessional and harsh. Never did I think I would be basically scolded as a parent for their kid "being ridiculous and shouldn't be acting this way" and basically told to leave, and then they storm out of the room themself leaving me standing there in disbelief. No thank you! Will definitely be finding a different dentist. I would suggest looking anywhere else if you have any children who are less than perfectly quiet and still, because they clearly have no time to deal with it.

The dentist himself is a jolly fake dude, happy to always take in more patients, refer people on to get braces (when not needed) and barley look at your child's teeth. Why dr.Ergas doesn't fire his entire staff of reception and hygienist is beyond me because if you take the time to read reviews on yelp/goggle and Facebook you will see the same opinion as I'm stating here. The office staff are horribly unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. The hygienist have absolutely no idea how to work with kids, toddlers or teens of any ages without making them feel shamed and leave in tears. I left today with my three kids knowing we would NEVER go back, and felt like a terrible mom for having seen this place out for as long as I have. My 13 year old son was shamed for not having better brushing habits and told he must go brush his own teeth before they could proceed with the cleaning. That then proceeded with His cleaning to be done so roughly he felt he was chocking with the water put it his mouth at rinse time and at the end had blood all over the outside of his mouth- in the waiting room. He was told he was a "bad boy" for not being more cooperative in the dental room, yet he had shut down at that point from emotional abuse from this treatment by the hygienist. I'm not sure how to process this, or how these people are legally allowed to treat people this way. I truly hope this will help get the word out.
