I got a keratin blow out and it was by far the most hurtful painful experience with sores on my scalp and the owner was pulling my hair I kept saying ouch and she kept going she burned my ears, neck and scalp. It was terrible 2 hours of pain. My head is still sore a week later and my hair has a terrible smell to it like burnt smell that I can't get rid of. I was completely scammed paid 250.00 USA dollars! I have sores inside my scalp meaning my scalp was bleeding! I will never recommend this salon to anyone and definitely not tourist! I also noticed something very interesting.. the bottle of Brazilian blowout was empty and I saw the guy go back refill it with something and put it back on the shelf whatever they are using is not the real product! Edit review- they sent me a what's up message after posting this saying I made her cry and basically implied they want me to remove this review. This is an honest review and I want people to know that truth and the pain I endured during a blow out. My pedicure and haircut both turned out very well, however when I went to pay at the end my total was nearly double the prices I saw online. They added charges for my hair being washed, dried, and "styled", as well as extra charges for a "medical" nail service and extra charge for adding color (which should be part of a regular pedicure.) None of the charges were disclosed to me during the process. You would think that after being 45 minutes late and me not complaining at all, they would offer a discount or something for the trouble but instead I paid even more. Salon itself is nice, my nail tech was lovely and the hairdresser did a really good job on my cut. I am just disappointed with the customer service, tardiness, and up charges.

A total professional gentleman named Cüneyt proceeded to perform some magic with two brushes, one assistant, and in 20 minutes, wifey's mane was transformed from a rat's nest to beauty queen hair. I watched the entire transformation and begged for a photo, but ofc wifey said no. But she was extraordinarily happy and looked amazing for an incredibly reasonable price (but please tip in Turkey, very important). And by terrible I mean they looked like " 10 days post rave party" terrible. No matter how often I washed them, while I was in Istanbul they still looked like that. So I've decided to ask the help of a professional because my hair definitely needed a wash and a blow. After a few search I end up in front of this kuafor (hairdresser in Turkish) with a shady neon sign which made it look more of a closed house than a hairdresser. I entered and climbed the stairs to the 1st floor where I found a giant picture of scarlett johansson (back when she had long hair) to greet me. Neon sign + pixelated picture of a star, I haven't yet entered the salon and the level of tackiness was already at the top. Once inside I was greeted by 3 Turkish men (one of them was eating a kebab). You must understand that these guys were the complete opposite of what I'm used to back in Paris. They were large men with no sense of hairstyle what so ever, they could seriously pass as cooks or even plumbers but not hairdressers. Well you know the saying, never judge the book by its cover so I've decided to give it a try with an open minded. There were already two girls in front of me, so of course I ended up with the kebab eating hairdresser, and of course he didn't wash his hands before touching my hair. After a very very quick wash, it must have lasted 1 minute. 1 minute of water spelt on my face and shampoo splashing on my clothes. So far the story is disastrous, so why did I put 3 stars instead of 1 should you ask? Let's say that the rest gets better. The hair blow art was well done. Not fantastic or spectacular but was done pretty seriously during 15 minutes or so. So it was definitely an experience, I wouldn't recommend the place if you're looking for a fancy/trendy hair salon. In fact I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for anything more than a wash and blow. But for the latest, it does the trick. I ended up with a nice clean and lean hair. I was so content that I nixed washing and drying my own hair and went to Serkan 3 times during my 10 day visit last month. He and his father were very welcoming as was everyone else the salon.
