Postscript - we passed on the new Equiniti address to the Leeds, who have written to them over and over to ask for the funds to be transferred, but are just ignored every time. Will we ever be rid of Equiniti? We were forced to transfer our Lloyds Share ISA to this company, despite writing to confirm we wanted to leave. We are still trying to persuade Equiniti to let us go. Our instructions were sent in plenty of time but the previous ISA provider, Halifax, claimed not to have received them. Our chosen new ISA provider, Leeds Building Society also wrote several times to organise the transfer and Halifax claimed not to have received their letters either - yeah, right... We asked for Equiniti's mailing address and it was withheld until a couple of days ago. Meanwhile, I'm guessing we have lost the special rate on our Leeds account as it was due to close at the end of September. They should be more honest about instructions they receive. Can't say I like Equiniti. Shortly after purchasing TSB shares through Barclays Stockbrokers, I received a 'This is an important document requiring your immediate attention' booklet through the post. Confusing booklet full of terms and conditions of a share offer at about 13 Pence per share above what I bought the shares at. Sent off my form and share certificate. No acknowledgment received. Waited and waited. I phoned Equiniti and seemed to be given different advice as to progress of legal proceedings of the share offer each time. I wrote to the CEO of Equinti and to be fair, did receive a reply telling me I'd have to wait for my entitlement. Waiting for this cheque left me somewhat short of money when I went to Switzerland on holiday and nagged on my mind somewhat. (Although having tight finances in Switzerland was not such a bad thing in the end as it meant I cooked in my friend's apartment and didn't eat out in expensive restaurants every night). I have finally received my cheque for the sold shares but the offer price is only 1 Penny above share selling price. They did take my complaint seriously but I find 3 months too long to wait. Although the CEO's office replied, I found the call centre information a bit vague and this company caused me some worry. MORAL OF THE STORY - ALWAYS READ WHAT I SIGN FROM NOW ON. read more
