I have now been to this branch twice in the last month. My first impression was in a word "awful". My second impression and experience yesterday only confirmed this. Never before have I experienced such atrocious customer service and complete lack of regard for the general well being of a customer. As I entered the store I passed on both occasions many members of staff who failed to acknowledge or greet me. When I arrived at the cashier points I was next in the queue to be served. All three serving windows were manned and only one had a customer present. Despite two cashiers being available I was kept waiting for a considerable amount of time. When I was eventually beckoned over after the two free cashiers had finished their conversation,(a dicussion which included a few laughs, not very professional!) I requested to pay some money into my current account and stated that I was not very happy at being kept waiting. Of course, no hint of an apology was offered and the lady representing the company decided to give me the silent treatment. When she shoved a pen and piece of paper under the sliding deposit drawer without even looking at me, I had to ask her politely what she expected me to do. She unpolitely told me I needed to sign the receipt. No farewell was offered and I heard her remark snidely to her colleagues as my back was turned upon leaving. Understandably I am far from impressed.
I hope that this recital of my genuine experience will shame the individuals involved and highlight very obvious skills that are lacking in this branch. I will close my bank account and move my mortgage to another provider with immediate effect. read more
